About this house rental
Located on the peninsula just a few miles down the road from Cedar Point Amusement Park. This unique modern home was built to maximize the dramatic views of Lake Erie and from nearly every room in the house. The key design element of this home was the use of large expanses of glass and windows to frame the stunning waterfront views while allowing abundant natural daylight to illuminate the modern open floor plan.
The main living level has an amazing twenty-four foot wide expanse of glass doors that open from the great room to a deck overlooking the lake. The great room has a large flat screen TV and fireplace, while the deck is complete with a BBQ for your summer meals. The large kitchen was carefully designed and built to have the same great views while being open enough for entertaining or preparing gourmet meals. The kitchen features concrete counters with two food preparation areas, stainless appliances, and maple flooring.
The top level of the home, which also frames beautiful water views, has two bedrooms and two baths and a large sun-drenched deck that overlooks the lake and the bay. Bedroom 1 has a king bed, has a TV, with private bath including a slate shower and access to the deck. Bedroom 2 has 12 feet of sliding glass doors overlooking Lake Erie, a queen bed, and bath with slate shower, and access to the deck.
The 3rd Bedroom is on the ground floor, with a set of bunk beds a single bed, has a TV and its own private bath with shower.
A deck at the end of the lane provides a nice place to enjoy fishing and sunsets over the bay.

You have to be sure to wake up early to catch the sunrise at least one morning. It was hands down the best I have ever seen. The property was massive (lots of stairs though) and perfect for our family to relax after a full day at CP. I would definitely stay here again!

This home is the perfect location for vacationing to Sandusky. When staying at the house you feel like you are far away from everything with beautiful views of the lake. But it is within minutes of cedar point, shopping, and pizza delivery! Amenities galore! A lot of stairs so probably not best for someone who has trouble with stairs, but for everyone else, perfect!

We so enjoyed staying in this absolutely amazing home!!! We stayed in another home owned by this host last year and loved it but this is by far our favorite and will be our go to for every future trip to Cedar Point. There are no words to describe the incredible view it offers of Lake Erie. You will not regret choosing this amazing home.

Lovely house- had everything we needed. Great location to Cedar Point and the Sports Force Park for our baseball games! The owners mother was super kind and helpful, checked in on us and allowed our kids to fish. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

Great location , just as described on site , everything you need in home . Comfy beds , great showers , very clean and comfy home . We came to go to Cedar point it’s just a few miles right down road , we also went to Pro Football hall of fame which was just an hour half drive from this home . Lots a good places to eat close by to , highly recommend Barra Tacos :) beautiful sunrises and sunsets at this property . We will stay here again for sure when we come back to this area .

Our family stays at a lot of VRBO properties and this one has, by FAR, the best view of any place we ever stayed. Every room has a view of Lake Erie (just steps away) and most of them are ceiling-to-floor panoramic views.
As with all family vacation homes, this one had most of what we needed: Plenty of bathrooms (most important), plenty of gathering space (for conservation, eating, and games), and a kitchen that met most of our needs for cooking. Actually, out of all the kitchens we've ever had in a VRBO, this one was best because it was in the middle of everything and...again, that view!
In the summer, I bet this place is AWESOME. Open all of the windows and let the sea breeze keep the place cool on hot days. We rented it in the dead of winter. It stayed warm, but the radiant heat from the floors does not work as fast as forced air. When we arrived, the whole house was very warm. So warm, in fact, that I got up in the middle of the first night to turn down the thermostat in our room. By the middle of the next day, it was freezing in that room! It took several hours for the radiant heat from the floors to get the temperature back up to a comfortable level. This is just something you need to "know before you go" if you stay here in the winter. Most renters, however, likely use the windows to keep the place cool or warm. Again: Those windows are awesome.

This was a great location for our family vacation to Sandusky. The views were fantastic and we found the property well equipped. We did have a little water in the house following a severe storm, but with tornado warnings, can't find fault.

Perfect for everything we needed but sleeping. 4 couples - site indicated sleeps 8, but it only had beds for 7. we did bring blow up beds, so it all worked out. enjoyed the view from the second floor deck - great for evening drinks! Would definitely consider going again when heading to the islands

Beautiful home with modern touches right on Lake Erie. We particularly enjoyed the large dining tables for big family meals. The rooftop patio was great as well. The place was clean when we arrived. Great location near Cedar Point.

We visited Cedar Point every day from this home as well as frequent trips to the Kalahari. Great location. The main road into Cedar Point had detours twice during our week so traffic was a little crazy a couple times on the little two lane road. Notes about the lay out are not wrong -- the front bedroom and bath are open to the house & the steps are steep, but neither gave us any problem. We had quick response to the bug in the smoke alarm and the fix on the grill knobs. Appreciated every minute.

Overall it was really nice. It was very modern and it would be perfect for a spring, summer, or fall day because of the large sliding doors. Unfortunately, it was snowing when we came so all of the outdoor patio space could not be used. I appreciated how the house was divided. The house has views for days. The family was super easy to work with; that alone would make me want to try one of their properties again. I drew the short straw so I slept on the lower level with the single beds. These beds were a little hard but maybe they would be easier on a kids back? I think if you are looking for views and a good entertaining space while visiting Lake Erie/ Cedar point this would be a spot to check out.

Owners were very prompt with communication. My kids enjoyed the place, games, TV channels, scenery and close food options. We were there to go to Cedar Point. I don’t have anything negative to say. I would definitely stay there again. Beds were clean and comfortable.

We loved the water views from all the rooms, just incredible. House had all items we needed, and the owner's parents provided anything that was missing. When we arrived there was a bad storm and there were water puddles in the bottom floor, but the owners took away the wet rug and assured us that it happens only when it rains hard. The house could have done with cleaning of cobwebs inside the house and bugs on the outside of the windows and glass doors. The house has 3 levels, with 2 bedrooms (king size bed and queen size bed) on the topmost floor. The middle floor has the living area and kitchen. The bottom floor through which the house is accessible has the third bedroom (one bunk bed and one twin). This room can be isolated from the top floor, ok for older kids, but not for our 8yo old with the main door right next to that room. There is some noise from automobiles on the main road next to the house. Also be aware there is no sidewalk and it is not safe to walk on the roads. We did have a good time visiting the amusement park at Cedar point, the islands by ferry and the wildlife safari park.

Perfect location for an easy access to Cedar Point and local restaurants. A short drive to Marblehead and other surrounding attractions. Some things in the house needed a little TLC but nothing that put a damper on our vacation. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Doug for the quick responses and easy stay!

The house is beautifully designed - love the house! However, it was too far from the water for us. We booked it thinking it would be a few steps away from the lake but there’s a road in between so we didn’t have access to the lake.

I was charged an exorbitant amount for a set of bed linens that the host claimed was stained. Despite the fact that the original message stated that the fee would be charged to my credit card in 3-5 business days, it was charged on the second business day, and no one sent documentation prior to charging my account so I could file a claim with the insurance company. VRBO will take your money, but they will not help you in any way if there is a problem.

Nice Property, Great Location
The location was great with Cedar Point right down the road. Huron is the closest grocery store and restaurants, although Sandusky is not far away. The laundry room is a plus, with a half bath there on the middle floor very convenient. Beds are comfortable. Plenty of cook-ware and utensils in the kitchen. Nice pantry space.
Needs a little TLC, as follows:
Upstairs bedroom on the lake side has it’s own mini-split A/C. Perfect as this room greats the morning sun, but the A/C randomly starts making a high pitched sound, even with the thermostat at 73.
A/C in general for the whole house does not work well. Thermostat said 65 but no way it was that cold, and it seemed humid inside.
Bugs everywhere outside, some live, many dead, plastered to the windows, screens and on the deck. It was too hot to use the deck anyway, and maybe nothing can be done abut the bugs in July.
This is a big one: Gas grill is piped directly to gas line in house, with a quarter-turn on-off valve. The valves on the grill itself do not work. I turned the quarter-turn valve about halfway, and immediately heard gas flowing. Used the built in striker and one side of the grill lit. Kept the striker on and the right side lit a little later with a whoosh. I have the same Weber two-burner grill at home. After the grill got hot, I tried to regulate the temperature using the quarter turn valve. Grill went off. Decided it wasn’t safe and cooked our meat inside on the stove.
Shower in the basement bath is a very tight corner unit.
Not many window coverings, even in the bathroom upstairs. Unlikely anyone can see in unless on a ladder, and they are driving by too fast on the road, but some people, especially women, may not be comfortable with that.

Lake Erie Views
The views with this house were absolutely stunning. The house was very comfortable for our family of 7. Plenty of bathrooms that were very nicely set up (this is very important with 5 teenagers)! It was nice that the house was stocked with some of the basics that most VRBO houses are not: TP, paper towels, trash bags, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap. The kitchen was equipped but could have had a few additional items: a working can opener, additional measuring cups. I would have liked to have a bit more "loungy" furniture on the decks since I love to be outside enjoying the views, reading a book. Overall, a really beautiful house with great access to Cedar Point and Sandusky. The owner's parasailing business was really great. We've gone parasailing in Florida and paid a lot of money for about 6 minutes of air time. The boat captain was fun, and the time in the air made it totally worth the price. Our kids absolutely loved it!
