About this house rental
Gather together for an amazing time with family and friends! Light and bright 3800 sf open floor plan. Central air, fireplace, 7 TV's and 4 1/2 baths. Incredible entertainment room with kitchen, 60" TV, pool table, video library, Direct TV, Netflix and board games.
There is something for everyone to enjoy in the area. Multiple beaches 1.5 miles away that have free concerts, drive in movies and car shows. Try some water sports, bike riding, mini golf, go karts or batting cages. Rotary Park has 4 tennis courts, beach volley ball, basketball and playgrounds. Visit Watch Hill for a walk on Napa Tree Point. Kids can go for a ride on the historic Watch Hill Flying Horse Carousel then share some pizza and ice cream. Try some golf nearby, maybe a fishing charter, whale watching or a tour of the lighthouses. Visit the many farmers markets and wineries. Take a ride to Narragansett and see Judith Point Lighthouse then catch the ferry to Block Island for lunch and rent some scooters. Enjoy a day in Newport and eat, shop, visit the mansions or take a walk on the cliff walk. Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos are very close. Take in the beauty of Mystic Aquarium and Seaport or perhaps go to the incredible restaurants in Mystic as well as nearby Stonington. Nature enthusiasts Ninigret Park in Charlestown only miles away! This was our second trip to Summer Wind. Our extended family of 13 had a wonderful week. The house again lived up to our expectations. Many amenities and space for all of us! Thanks to Gene and Suzanne who are wonderful hosts.

The space was great for our extended family. The new outdoor space was spacious and very comfortable. The downstairs arcade, lounge area and pool table were a hit with kids. The house had all the amenities you need.

Owners went to so much trouble to make the house feel like our own. Everything was thought of which meant we had to think of nothing but relaxing. Will rent again for sure

We held our annual family reunion at the Summer Wind Beach House. There were 10 of us (6 adults and 4 children ages 12-14). This was the best equipped vacation house we have ever used. The kitchen was fully stocked and the outdoor kitchen even included a pizza oven. Downstairs was a "playground" for the kids with video games, movies and a pool table. The great backyard included a great seating area to relax with drinks as well as a bocce court. (We also ate most of our dinners outdoors.) The state beach is a short drive away and the house came with plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards and beach towels. Overall, a great place.

The photographs accurately depict the home, but nothing can convey the hospitality offered by the hosts, Gene and Suzanne.
Everything was available to us. Beach chairs, boogie boards, even the cookware for a lobster boil ! The finished basement was the favorite place for our young adult kids.
The patio and pergola were wonderful after a day at the beach, and the gas grill was used every night.
In short, we can’t recommend the Summer Wind highly enough. We’re very grateful to Gene and Suzanne.

Lovely home and garden, an excellent quiet neighborhood to walk around, and a very safe location. A few amenities were a little outdated and disappointing but everything else was excellent and we had a great time.

My children, grandchildren and myself had an enjoyable stay at Summer Wind.
The house easily held all 14 of us. The large backyard with an ample eating area, outdoor grill, and pizza oven were great at dinner time. My grandchildren especially loved the well equipped finished basement complete with pool table, video games, TV, and board games.
It was wonderful spending time together in this lovely setting.

Everything was perfect, from meeting with Gene to go over the property to anything and everything we needed to make our stay perfect. Can't say enough good about our hosts, the property and all the additional stuff to make the stay perfect for all ages. One of the grandchildren asked her mon if they could just stay there forever. :)!

Very good property. Well maintained with all the items that you may need in a stay. Plenty of space. Great landscaping. Property manager is very responsive and does a great job. Good location for all attractions and the Beach in Rhode Island. Good value!

We loved this property and location. The house feels very large and we had 15 people, 4 of which were kids under 10. The outdoor space was spacious and super relaxing. The neighborhood is very quiet. The kids loved riding bikes and scooters in the street. Since it’s a dead end there was hardly any traffic at all. Super close to good restaurants, the best beaches and shopping. We loved our stay and would definitely come back.

The pictures don’t do this house justice. We were there to celebrate our son’s graduation from the Coast Guard Academy but will definitely be going back for vacation. Gene, the owner was so welcoming and very responsive. The house was so well supplied and had everything you would want or need. The location is perfect. That back yard was awesome. My family loved it. Gene even caters to the babies and had toys galore. Thank you Gene, for a memorable stay.

My family and I stayed at this AMAZING property over the 2022 Christmas Holiday and it was just about as perfect as it could be! I am from a large family of 7 kids with lots of nieces and nephews and many who live out of state. Typically, we celebrate Christmas at my parents house in northern RI, but my parents are getting older, and my father had a health scare this summer, so we wanted to give them a break from hosting this year and find a place that was large enough and comfortable enough to host those of us who were able to get together. Gene and Suzanne’s property was the perfect spot for us. From the moment I contacted them and explained our situation and how we loved the set up with the first floor bedroom so my dad wouldn’t have to worry about stairs, they were so accommodating. With the little ones, it was really important to us to be able to have a Christmas tree and to have the house feel like Christmas and Suzanne completely understood and decorated the house to the nines. It looked absolutely gorgeous and so festive!
I read several of the reviews before booking and they are 110% true. Gene and Suzanne literally think of everything and provide so much to their guests. We had more than enough towels and comfortable bed linens, soap, shampoo etc. to last for the entire four days. The kitchen had everything we needed from serving platters to plates, barware, a coffee maker, Keurig machine, plenty of condiments, and spices and everything was clearly labeled, so was very easy to find. My teenage nieces and nephews had such a great time down in the basement in the captains quarters with the pool table and the big screen TV. They provided ample phone chargers throughout the house, which was so appreciated. They had baby gates and a booster seat for my one year-old nephew and lots of toys and games for the little ones. We found a lovely Santa Claus from the Westerly town Facebook page who came over on Christmas Eve and handed out presents to the kids. We just could not be any happier with the way that our experience went and are so thankful to have found this beautiful home with such accommodating hosts. We made some wonderful memories that will last a lifetime which was just what we needed after the challenging year we had all had! We hope to be repeat customers at Summerwind and would recommend this property to anyone. THANK-YOU Gene and Suzanne for all you did to make this such a special holiday for us! The Gill Family

It was a perfect place to celebrate my wife’s 80th Birthday with our family. Six adults and four children ages 10 to18. Lots of great games and activities for all. Well equipped kitchen and outdoor grill (even a pizza oven we did not have time to use). We would love to come back some day.

Our family of 14 stayed for 10 days. The property was all it was promised to be and Gene our host was excellent and communicative at all times. It was very well equipped with everything we needed especially in the kitchen but really everywhere including beach chairs, umbrellas and beach towels. The outdoor pergola and kitchen were wonderful. The house was very nicely furnished and felt like a home, not a sparse rental like other properties we have stayed at. We would definitely like to return. Thank you Gene and Suzanne.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Summer Wind. We’ve never been to a home where the owners thought of absolutely everything. From beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and sand toys, paper products, and all towels and sheets, you literally can arrive with your clothes and food and you’ll be ready to enjoy your stay. The house was spacious and clean, with thoughtful touches throughout.
We unfortunately were there during a week which started with rain. I think that, with the humid conditions, it attracted many mosquitoes to the back yard which made it difficult to enjoy the beautiful outdoor space - I would recommend bringing bug spray just in case you get similar weather. Overall, I would highly recommend this property. It’s like being at a “home away from home”.

This is a beautiful home that exceeds the VRBO description. It is spotlessly clean and in a beautiful neighborhood. It is located less than 10 minutes from Misquamicut State Beach.
The outside deck, patio and pergola are are great place to wind down after a day at the beach. Everything you need for your stay is provided from beach towels, chairs, umbrellas and sand toys for the children to inside games and toys.. The rec room with pool table and more child play space is great as well. The pool table occupied adults on our one rainy day and most evenings when we were not doing a family movie night there on the big screen TV.
We rate this home as one of the best of the many homes we have rented through VRBO.
The Muratore's have done a beautiful job with this home and are wonderful owners to work with.

Our family of ten (6 adults, children ages 13 to 6 months) had a wonderful time enjoying all that Summerwind has to offer! Suzanne and Gene were very informative and accommodating, and their home has been well-thought-through for guests. We especially loved their outdoor space and the fabulous entertaining basement! We had a great week at Summer Wind. House is very nicely appointed and has everything you need for a fun time with family. Plenty of games, movies, beach accessories and more! Loved the outdoor gathering and grill areas.

Gene and Suzanne thought of everything from the beach accessories.. to kid proof items like gates for the upstairs… stuffed animals and toys for the kids.. to an amazing backyard. The proximity to the beaches, stores and excursions is great. I recently lost my brother and mother and have learned the emphasis on “family time”.. being able to spend a week with our adult children, their spouses and our grandchildren was priceless. We can’t wait to return next year to carry on the tradition.

The younger adults really enjoyed the ‘man cave’ in the basement. Everyone enjoyed the outdoor seating under the pergola. Our group found Summer Wind to be well appointed with useful amenities. And if you like your bed on the softer side like Mama Bear then you’ll enjoy the sink into softness beds of Summer Wind.
Note: The location within the neighborhood seemed to be in some kind of summer flight path for smaller prop planes and while this did not bother a majority of our group, some in our group thought it should be mentioned so future guests would have that knowledge ahead of time.
Gene, the owner, was easy to work with and on top of his texts.
If we find ourselves in Westerly in the future, we would certainly look to stay here again.

The Best Family Vacation Ever!!
Words cannot express how happy I was with the accomodations of the Summer Winds home. With so many siblings, and now in-laws and children, it has been hard to get everyone together in one place. Summer Winds offered so much space and ammenities we never felt like we were running into each other. The home was beautifully decorated and incredibly clean, filled with every appliance and utencil you could need. The gorgeous backyard deck and flower garden housing a pizza oven, grill, and tables made outside entertaining so much fun. The couches in the large gazebo were very comfortable and the lighting made it so relaxing. We are a local family so the tourist attractions weren't our focus, however, for anyone looking for a great location to get family together that is central to beaches, casinos, and shopping, Summer Winds is a perfect spot. You don't need to buy a thing, they had all the beach supplies you could want or need. They also provided a book of area attractions with directions so if you are not familiar with the area you could easily find something fun to do. The owners were spot on for communication and very nice to work with. Gene provided a walk through of the house to show us how things worked so that we wouldn't have any issues and if I had a question he responded right away. I highly suggest this vacation spot and I am so looking forward to coming back with my family again in the future. Thank you Summer Winds for helping us make great memories.

Wonderful Home for Large Families
Gene and Suzanne are excellent hosts. The house is super clean and family friendly . The yard is awesome. Basement has plenty of space for sleeping and games….pool, ping pong and tv and a great bar area. Close to beaches and shopping. Great place for our family to vacation. We love it and so do our teenagers!

Amazing property!
The house has every amenity you can think of, and even ones you might not think of! Easy access to everything. The outdoor space is incredible. The outdoor living room is perfect for sipping a cold drink on a sunny summer evening. The finished basement features a beautiful bar area and is a great place to hang out after hours. All in all, it could not have been a more accommodating and comfortable place to stay. Thank you Gene and Suzanne! Wish I could give it more than 5 stars!

Perfect for Wedding Guests
Exactly as advertised, with great amenities. Gene greeted us and showed us around the house. The property is well thought out and organized, with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay on the Rhode Island coast. Even rainy days are well covered. Amazing Experience
We can't say enough good about our stay at Summer Wind.
It is big enough so that our group (11) could all have their
own space if desired or we could all be together watching
football in the downstairs game room. The house has
everything you might want for essentials. We were close to
the beach, restaurants, breweries, Watch Hill or many other
places of interest. A private back yard with bocce court was
also a nice bonus. A beautiful and quiet area.

The Summer Wind is a highly recommended and a great place for a family beach getaway. The backyard is perfect for relaxing and the bocce court was a great touch. Plenty of space for everyone and very clean and organized. Just a short trip to the beach!

Gene was welcoming and responded quickly to the few questions we had, he even sent us friendly reminders for scheduled lawn maintenance and trash pick up days (helpful as it is easy to lose track of the days on vacation)! The home is even more impressive than the listing describes, and had everything we needed and more! The back yard was an oasis in itself, and the downstairs was perfect for evening family fun and conversation. There were plenty of spaces to be alone or together, I especially enjoyed the balcony for morning coffee and a book! The home is in a quiet, picturesque neighborhood, yet close to EVERYTHING, beaches, restaurants, museums, and an excellent fish market. We plan a large family vacation annually, and this has been a favorite of all of our rentals, as voted on by the grandchildren, and adults alike. The beds, linen and towels were top quality and plentiful, the home succeeded in being elegant and "beachy", homey, comfortable and child friendly! I could go on and on, bottom line is this is the perfect summer rental to make family memories, and we hope to be lucky enough to visit again! Thank you Gene and Suzanne, from the Joslyn family!
