Geräumiges, zentral gelegenes Apartment

Zentral gelegene Unterkunft, die alles bietet, was man braucht - und sogar mehr (Bügelbrett!). Gut ausgestattete Küche, geräumiges Zimmer. Restaurants, Snackbars und ein Supermarkt fußläufig erreichbar. Auch zum Gris Gris Beach und den Rochester Falls ist es nicht allzu weit.

Der versprochene Balkon ist quasi der außen gelegene Gang, der zum Apartment führt. Die Fenster an der Außenseite sind ein bisschen wie Auslagen, sie gehen bis zum Boden und lassen sich nicht öffnen.

Schlechte Organisation. Kein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

Dass check in theoretisch schon ab 10:00 möglich ist. Das Zimmer ist schön hell. Bett war bequem und es war nachts ruhig. Gastgeber war freundlich, aber erst 17:45 erreichbar, weshalb es zu Unannehmlichkeiten kam. Wifi war super. Das Doppelzimmer mit Bad (ohne Meerblick/37m) und das Apartment befinden sich im 1.Stock. Wobei das Apartment sehr dunkel (gibt aber genügend Lampen), schon etwas abgewohnter ist und man daran (an allen Fenstern) vorbeigeht, wenn man in das DZ möchte. Das DZ mit Meerblick (33m) befindet sich im 2.Stock. Davor gibt es noch ein weiteres Zimmer.

Dass ich beim Check in nicht mein gebuchtes DZ (37m) bekommen habe, sondern erst das Apartment, da das DZ (sogar bis 17:00) belegt war. Der Gast aus dem DZ sollte nämlich umziehen und wartete auch schon auf den Gastgeber. Der Gastgeber kam dann endlich um 17:45 von Arbeit, musste dann noch das Zimmer reinigen, da seine Frau, die zu Hause war, sich darum nicht kümmert, so dass ich erst 18:20 in das gebuchte Zimmer einziehen konnte. Nach einer langen Wanderung noch 2 Std warten zu müssen, ist nicht wirklich komfortabel. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis (bezieht sich auch auf die Ausstattung) hat für mich gar nicht gestimmt (Nacht 34€). Bis auf eine Entschuldigung und der Wunsch auf eine gute Bewertung kam von dem Gastgeber nichts. Ich hätte ja schließlich das dunkle, abgewohntere Apartment nehmen können.

La chambre prête plus tôt pour m'arranger, très propre, belle terrasse avec vue mer de loin, on entend les vagues...les petites attentions, du thé dans la kitchenette, de l'eau...calme. Très bien.

La connexion Wi-Fi n'est pas au top.

Host is very helpful, he can advise you places to eat, how to get to supermarket and help to get taxi. Big respect. Bed was big and comfortable. Wooden furniture is great, I like it. WiFi works ok. Overall, it's worth the money, I can recommend to stay here. Easy to visit Gris-Gris beach, Rochester Falls and etc.

Water pressure can be better. Bathroom feels a bit small, but still is fully functional.

Superb

Very good location. The beach / waterfalls are accessible walking (around 30mn). The flat was bigger than expected, and all the amenities to either cook or store your food, with luxurious greeneries all around. (You will be awaken by the birds). You have few places to go shopping around or have some food ! I did not try them all, but the corner one was great. I recommend visiting Gris Gris beach, Rochester fall and cascade mamzelle !

Exceptional

The apartment was really spatious, with everything guests would need, clean, comfortable. The location really good, very close to the bus stop, with some shops and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Also in a walking distance to the beautiful Gris-Gris beach and Rochester falls. And the fast food on the corner held by Shemina is a place one would need to visit, for it's energy and charm as well as for good food.

Great little get-away in a friendly town with a room that is perfect value for money

Host was super friendly and helpful. Even gave me a lift to a hiking location and worked around my arrival times! Friendly vibe in town. Residents are all helpful and welcoming. Rooms are clean and equipped with all you need.

Road noise was sometimes a little extreme. But besides installing double-glazed windows, there's nothing the host could do about it.

Superb

We were looking for a simple room to stay for one night in Souillac. Upon arrival we were happily surprised by the cleanliness and the facilities of the room. A tv, a small terrace, water boiler, lavatory tools, and even a tiny bar. The facilities themselves are basic, but clearly taken care of with love for the visitor. Price - quality amazing. For us a highly recommendable stay when paying a visit to Souillac.

The apartment was very large, very clean, and comfortable. The property is right next to the Bus stop and many small shops, and a quick walk to Jardin Telfair and Gris Gris Beach. The Host was really nice, would definitely stay again.

big but basic apartment - no balcony

Practical location on a side street, walking distance from shops, restaurants, bus station, beach (and, if you really like to walk, Rochester Falls). Big apartment with a touch of luxury in the form of a water purifier. otherwise basic.

There is no balcony and the shared narrow terrace now has shades so there is no view whatsoever. Make your own bed (even when you arrive) just like in a youth hostel. Water temperature in the shower not possible to regulate at all, it is what it is (lukewarm). Host is a busy man, carpenter/painter so he does not hang around to see if you need anything and he is not interested in hearing any extra requests the guest might have (unlike most other hosts in Mauritius, usually very helpful!). There were big cockroaches in the bath room.

Great apartment with high quality finishing

We had a great time at this apartment. The owner is very friendly and showed us everything. The apartment is built in a very high quality and everything is in a good condition. It's close to everything in Souillac but in a calm side street. We would definitely go there again.

Big recommendation for the other budget travellers

Our taxi driver called to our host, so he was ready to welcoming us when we arrive. The Apartment was large and clean. WiFi worked great and aircondition was the best. Our host took us to nice (and cheap) restaurants and arrange a driver to take us to Rochester falls(500mur for 2 People). He also had recommendations for different activites near Souillac.

Nice and clean place, fairly new with all the needed amenities. The owner is a woodworker/carpenter and you can tell by the place - really good finishing.
