Island Point Villas capture one of the most beautiful water and mountain views in Port Douglas. Facing north, the sun sets over the distant rainforest covered mountains - truly beautiful!
Mornings can be spent watching white boats depart the Marina, heading east towards a day on the Great Barrier Reef. Ideally located on Island Point Road, it is only a short stroll to Macrossan Street where you will find our 'Award winning' restaurants, shops, boutiques and cafe's.
In recent years, Villa 4 was entirely refurbished and comprises of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is perfect for couples, friends and small families searching for that ' something special'.
Entering into its open plan living, dining and kitchen area you will find all you require is catered too. Large double sliding doors open to the balcony which runs the full length of the apartment... and here is where you will find yourself spending much of your time breathing in the views. Furnished with a day bed, outdoor lounge suite, dining table and BBQ.
A master bedroom with water views provides a king bed, flat screen TV and open plan en-suite, complete with bath, double vanity and frameless shower.
The second bedroom can be configured with 2 single beds or zipped together to provide a second king bed. Again, water views are captured through glass doors to the balcony. A second bathroom provides double vanities and frameless shower with the laundry area hidden within custom-made cupboards.
Quality fixtures, fittings and furnishings throughout have been carefully chosen to provide a modern comfortable ambiance within the apartment.

The view from the property is awesome. The unit is a little smaller than it looks in photos but it works for 2 couples. We spend most of our time on the patio which was great.

We had a great time in Port Douglas, because the apartment was in such a convenient spot. It was a short walk just down the hill to several of the best restaurants, in fact we could walk everywhere if we chose to do so. In addition, the lovely big balcony was the best place to sit and look out at the water. A really special spot.

The property was awesome as expected. The location was great, well worth the walk up the hill. Peaceful, beautiful views and a shared pool at your door step, shared with very few residents.
We never had to touch the car in town , walking everywhere to marina, restaurants , cafes, shops… Highly recommended.

Our hosts were super organised, so lovely and their attention to detail is amazing. They sent a word doc (it’s also in the villa book on arrival) with a list of recommendations split by topics which I used daily! This was my second time visiting Port Douglas and I still relied upon it and every single recommendation we visited/ate at was amazing and did not disappoint. Would 100% go back to this property each and every time! So book in quickly so you’re not disappointed :)

Perfect family holiday
We loved staying at this property with our 2 young children. The spectacular view meant that we enjoyed just chilling at the accommodation more than we usually would on holidays. It was magical watching the boats come in and out of the inlet. The Main Street was just a short walk away and the walk uphill with 2 small kids was more than worth it for that view. The villa was clean, spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. Also a great local park & playground just down the hill (overlooking the inlet) and scenic lookout over 4 mile beach just up the hill.

Balcony bliss
This is an older property with a stunning view from the large balcony.
The apartment is very comfortable and the only downside for us was the pool. It is on the back of the building between car parks.
We would recommend this property and gladly stay again.

The best place to stay in Port Douglas
I don't think that there can be many better places to stay in Port Douglas. The views from the large balcony / living area really make this property. We enjoyed several evenings cooking (BBQ) and eating on the balcony.
Location is good although the hill leading up to the property is a bit steep but don't let that put you of.
It is only a short walk to the viewing point over Four mile beach.
Access is very good with parking only a few metres from the back door.
The pool is clean and ideal for a cooling dip.

Villa on top of a hill!
Beautiful views of Port Douglas from high on the point. Watch the boats in and out and all the birds! Beautiful deck space for entertaining or sitting. Lovely ! Bed was not great and if you like to cook the pans are worn and knives dull are only down.

Paradise at last
Fantastic property with great views and easy access to all the delights of Macrossan street. Wonderful verandah (balcony ) where we did most of our relaxing. Amazing place with awesome balcony & views
This place is brilliant. When we first checked in the weather was very overcast yet the view was still amazing. But then we got a blue sky day and the sunset was sensational.
We spent 80% of our time on the balcony.
It’s only 350 meters from town which is great but just be aware it’s a bit of a hill (which explains the good view). As we had 2 little kids we drove everywhere anyway.
We’d happily stay here again.

Perfect place to stay!
We were 2 couples looking to escape the stress of work and enjoy some time in the sun. This was the place! The villa was immaculately clean, the beds comfortable and views 'to die for'. We loved the proximity to the centre of Port Douglas and enjoyed walking down the hill to find a new spot for lunch or dinner. Our hosts left plenty of suggestions for how to spend our time, which was helpful. Also appreciated that the pantry was full of spices and other bits and pieces that would be helpful for eating in. The balcony was the big winner here, and we spent a lot of time under the fans soaking in the views. If it got too hot, the pool or the aircon provided respite. It was a lovely surprise to find a chilled bottle of Yellow sparkling in the fridge on our arrival - Thank you!! Am already sending the property link to friends who have seen my pics on social media and want to know where we stayed!

Beautiful property with a stunning view!
Even prior to our scheduled arrival, the property owners were in contact to ensure they knew our arrival time and everything would be ready. The property was more than ready on our arrival and was welcoming. It was located in proximity to everything in Port Douglas and made our enjoyment of the area very efficient. But more important, after spending a day enjoying the locality, returning to Island Point Villa was as enjoyable. The view was stunning whose colors changed with the time of the day. We were 2 couples for a 5 night stay. The apartment was lovely, the balcony great. In fact we ended up staying in for dinner on 3 of our 5 nights as it was so easy and relaxing to spend time there, the pictures say it all. Great time was had by all, sorry to leave.

What a find

Great property
Our second stay at this apartment, and it was even better than the first despite us being there at a very wet time of year. Everything is modern, clean and bright, from the outdoor furnishings to the bathrooms, and the kitchen is well equipped and the cupboards nicely stocked so we didn’t have to go out and buy basics.
The master bedroom/ensuite is large and extremely comfy and with good storage, and the second bathroom is also large and well designed. But the terrace is the drawcard. It is so big and protected that we could sit out there during a downpour and watch the changing weather over the river and bay without a drop of rain reaching us.
I should add that Sanctuary Villas are a dream to deal with and kept us posted on any small changes to arrangements caused by weather and maintenance being done at the time to the building.
Over the years we’ve stayed in probably 10 holiday apartments in Port Douglas and this is our favourite for its location, comfort, beautiful outlook and that terrace.

Our stay was wonderful. The view is spectacular. Sitting out on the verandah, watching and listening to the birds along with the stunning water view was amazing. The villa is stocked with everything you need plus more. There wasn't anything we thought...."I wish we had......". The pool was an added bonus to cool us down, being there in November! Furniture and bedding lovely! The short stroll to town was easy and handy. Overall, a great place to relax and enjoy!
