Een absolute must see!

Wat een bijzonder plek om te overnachten! Nette en bovenal fraaie kamers. Vanaf het balkon geniet je over een fraai uitzicht over de omgeving. Het ontbijt is super uitgebreid. Het meest bijzonder vonden wij het enthousiasme en de vriendelijkheid van het personeel. Absoluut een 10!!

De locatie is iets hoger gelegen en daardoor wat lastiger per Tuk Tuk te bereiken. Laat je hier echter niet door belemmeren! Het personeel heeft ons geholpen en zelfs service geboden naar het centrum, waardoor onze Tuk Tuk een dagje kon blijven staan.

The view is worth it all. And the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating.

The view is the best one can get

The pictures are not an accurate reflection of the property 1) it is remote. Only reachable by taking a rather long hike or by tuck tuck. Cars cannot enter. 2) no electricity. There were repair works happening so we did not have any electricity until 6.15pm and from 8am the following morning again. 3) the room is very basic. Similar to a glamping experience.

Emozioni e panorama, grazie

Vista incantevole, pulizia ottima, letto comodo, colazione alla carta super abbondante e buonissima, rumori della natura emozionanti, possibilità di cena nel ristorante appena sotto la stanza, il treno nei giorni che eravamo lì è passato alle 6.20, 7.30, 9.20, 11, 17.20 (con sempre un po di ritardo). In bagno c era shampo e sapone. Consigliamo di arrivare lì con un tuk tuk, perchè la strada è molto stretta e ripida. Attenzione che a Ella l'applicazione pick me non è molto efficiente, quindi all'arrivo in treno, contrattate con i driver che vi aspettano fuori.

Ojalá volver

Los chicos que gestionan el alojamiento son alucinantes. Nos cuidaron y se preocuparon porque estuviéramos perfectamente y alimentados. Hubo momentos en los que teníamos hambre y ellos buscaron soluciones. Además el desayuno es impresionante. Nos enseñaron muchas cosas de su cultura y costumbre. Respecto a la habitación es una pasada despertarse en el puente mas bonito de Sri lanka. Repetiría sin duda

The warm and friendly smiles of the staff really sum it all up.

The service and the scenic location above the bridge!!! You can wait for the train to pass right from your balcony or from the restaurant where you can enjoy your fave Sri Lankan dish. It has access to the 9 arches bridge, and the property can also be reached by tuktuk and other smaller vehicles.

Complimentary toiletries would be nice to backpackers.

The view and the staff!

Het uitzicht is echt fantastisch, wakker worden op je balkon met uitzicht op de treinen die langs komen. Het personeel is ook super vriendelijk, behulpzaam en brengen je met de tuktuk gratis naar het centrum. Ook het ontbijt was erg lekker!

Het was behoorlijk koud s'nachts dus een extra deken op de kamer zou wel fijn zijn. Ook werden we iedere ochtend rond 6uur wakker door het harde geknaag van de eekhoorn die in de muur van de kamer woont. Voor mij geen probleem, vond het wel leuk maar misschien dat iemand anders dit echt niet tof vindt!

Perfect location, slightly out of town with privacy and perfect views of the nine arches away from the crowds. Wonderful

Beautiful location perfect views of the nine bridges and the way to get down to from the cabin. Wonderful staff, really friendly and helpful even popping us into town for free on their Tuk tuck

The bathroom didn’t smell very nice and x2 mornings in a row we were woken up by some kind of animal possibly a batch screeching. We think it may have been on the wall or ceiling due to to volume

Tolle Aussicht! Empfehlenswert!

Unbezahlbare Aussicht, hilfsbereites Personal (inkl. kostenlosem Tuk Tuk Transport), gutes Frühstück, super WiFi, Bezahlung auch mit Karte möglich.

Da die Unterkunft sehr abgeschieden im Dschungel liegt, kann es nachts durch all die Tiere laut werden. Ohne die grandiose Aussicht wäre der Preis für die Unterkunft nicht gerechtfertigt.

Waanzinnig uitzicht op de Nine Arches Bridge

Geweldig uitzicht op de Nine Arches Bridge. Fijn dat er ook een restaurant gelegenheid is voor ontbijt, lunch en diner.

De route er naar toe is in het donker of met regen best gevaarlijk. Maar gelukkig is het personeel heel erg behulpzaam en brengen ze je gratis naar het centrum toe.

Best view of 9 arched bridge

Couldn't have had a better view of 9 arch bridge 😁 They've also opened a restaurant and bar so you can eat there too since it is remote. Cars can't get down the access road, so take a tuktuk from the end of the road. Should be about 500 rupees. Owner has a tuktuk so can take you if you call.

A few, very high-stepped stairs and path to get to the cabins, so don't bring too much luggage 😏 but don't let the put you off, it's so worth it.

Perfekte Aussicht - Danke an alle! Wir würden wiederkommen!

Sehr zuvorkommendes & freundliches Personal. Auch der Besitzer hat sich sehr viel Zeit genommen. Die Aussicht ist wirklich gigantisch. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet - Deko, Vorhänge, wenig Platz & Ablagefläche (vor allem bei großen Koffern) - dennoch vollkommen ausreichend für unseren Aufenthalt! Warmes Wasser in der Dusche ist vorhanden. Der Weg zur Unterkunft ist zwar etwas abenteuerlich - steile Wege nur mit TukTuk (mit dem Auto nicht möglich! Aber das Personal holt einen an der Straße ab & hat uns auch für Ausflüge zur Straße gebracht. Der Besitzer hat sich kurzfristig (am selben Tag) um ein Zugticket für uns gekümmert (1. Klasse, Panorama-Blick). Wir haben einen sehr fairen & günstigen Preis zur nächsten Unterkunft (Kandy) angeboten bekommen. Wir wurden zum Bahnhof gebracht & das Personal hat uns auf der Hälfte der Strecke mit unserem Gepäck im Auto abgeholt & uns zur nächsten Unterkunft gebracht.

Das Essen ist einfach gehalten, dennoch geschmacklich gut & vor allem große Portionen. Geht nicht alleine in den Dschungel!!! Es gibt wilde Elefanten, damit ist wirklich nicht zu spaßen.

Mejores vistas de Ella

Ubicación inmejorable con vistas directas a las vías del tren desde la habitación. Vegetación exuberante y sensación de estar en simbiosis con la naturaleza. Desayuno increíblemente bueno a muy buen precio, te lo preparan al momento.

Para nosotros fue idílico. No obstante, informar sobre la dificultad para llegar al hotel según el vehículo que lleves. Nosotros fuimos en moto sin problema aunque con el camino sin asfaltar y bastante cuesta.

Sehr schöner Ausblick - für ein-zwei Nächte super!

Der Blick auf die 9 Arches Bridge ist echt unschlagbar und auch der Besitzer ist sehr nett.

Unsere Toilette war undicht und nach dem Spülen ist immer Wasser ausgetreten am Boden. Für längere Aufenthalte nicht so toll. TukTuks sind etwas schwerer zu kriegen, weil recht abgelegen. Aber der Besitzer hilft da gern, wenn man ihn rechtzeitig informiert:)

Perfect location to appreciate the views from a quieter perspective.

The location couldn't have been better - I loved watching the trains pass over the world famous Nine Arches Bridge whilst sipping coffee in my quiet balcony.

The only thing that could have been better was having an AC in the room (as written in the description), as there was only a fan and it was really hot during the day.

Amazing view!!

Toutists flock to see the Nine Arch Bridge...and we could see it from out cabin. The cafe called the soul cafe is also loved by the tourist as they sit here to watch the trains. The cars can't go till the cabin. So the tuktuk takes about 5 mins to take to this quaint cabin.

The water flow in the taps and also the bad state of towels. No toiletries. We had to ask them to give and replace the torn ones, which they did

Amazing location!

Excellent location overlooking the nine arch bridge. Breakfast very good and cooked to order. Staff brilliant and happy to take you into town on the hotels personal tuk tuk. Staff know the train times so perfect for getting pictures and due to location you can be at the bridge early morning with no other people.

The place to be for the view 🫶🏼

The view can’t be more amazing than this over the 9 arches bridge. Also the staff is very lovely and will come and get you with their tuktuk. I didn’t get breakfast but it smelled and looked fresh and good ! 10/10 for the view and the team.

I think it’s a little bit pricey, for the quality of the room itself. You really pay for the view which is amazing, true, and it might be really difficult to bring confort up there. But I’d try to work a little bit on a few stuff : - the lock on the door is a little bit weird. - better curtains to really block the light because they have beautiful windows yes, but also the sun is up at 5:30. - hard to work on the bathroom, but the toilet is a little bit unstable, I had some bad smell coming from the sink, and the water pressure is not crazy but way enough to get a shower. Probably the price is also high because it’s in Ella, and it’s a little more touristic, I honestly didn’t checked all the hotels, but those little notes could help you to make this place a little bit more confortable to add on to the high price (76.50$). I’ll say high price again for Sri Lanka ;) so for those notes I’d put like a 7.9 😊

You really can't beat this location and view. Hard to think of a better spot in Ella. It is slightly away from town but the boys are generally happy to Tuk Tuk you in if you're not up for the walk. It's absolutely unique.

All for the View!

The view of the Nine Arch Bridge was amazing!! Staff were very lovely and you can choose what ever you’d like out of the food / drink menu for breakfast! Milkshakes are banging!

Place wasn’t as nicely fitted out as first thought, sink tap was all over the show, some things broken / not working in our cabin to how they should. Just a tad expensive and would just recommend the one night is enough.

Exceptional

Seeing the Nine Arch Bridge away from the crowds was at the top of my bucket list for Sri Lanka, and here I could make my wish come true. The view from the cafe is exactly what I was dreaming of, and the location is truly remote and peaceful. The cabin is simple yet cozy, a bit pricey but so worth it. Since we came with our rental car, they let us park in a safe place and then offered us tuk tuk rides to the car and back.

From my room, the view of the bridge was partially obstructed by the restaurant roof, which was not visible from the pictures of the room I had chosen.

It's ok for beautiful views

The views were amazing. The toom was cosy enough.

It was very difficult to get there, especially at night. Not suitable for people with mobility difficulties as it requires walking on a rough path and stone steps. When it rains, it's really muddy. Tuk tuk can only take you there to a point. Breakfast was good but extremely slow. We waited for around an hour to get the food. The towels were very old, toilet was leaking. The price is high for the room, but I guess it's because of the location.

Picturesque

Very boho rustic vibe. Nice decor. Very nice view. Great breakfast in the morning. I was able to access the Nine arch bridge very easy in the morning and that was really nice. I’m coming back here for sure. Photos from the hotel are the most beautiful

There were hundreds of scary bugs all over the glass windows and door at night. It was a bit scary cuz it was a infestation of bugs and i did not know if they were poisonous or not. They looked like huge bees.

The owner and the rest of the staff are great. They go above and beyond for your stay to be great!

We got the room above the café. The roof completely ruins the view over the bridge, which it is the main attraction of the place. Also, they were doing construction works in the café. It would’ve been nice for them to flag this in advance.
