The location was very good and the size of the dwelling also very good.

Towels were not provided. I doubt many, if any, traveler from the US bring bath towels in their luggage. I can see the place working quite well for a young couple or a couple with older children. I would not recommend it for older travelers. The bedrooms are on the second and third floors and accessible by rather treacherous stairways. The stairways are more like ladders than stairs and the bannister from the ground floor to the second is difficult. I would not recommend this place for a family with very small children as I would be concerned about the stairways. It was obvious that the owners had spent a great deal of effort in planning, executing the renovation project and it was very well done. For an older couple such as my wife and myself it was not a good choice for the reasons I have given above.

Excellent Sancerre location. Quiet neighborhood. Very popular with cyclists. Plenty of free on-street car parking. Appreciate that host stocked local Sancerre wine for purchase. Lots of kitchen appliances. Particularly appreciate having a washing machine and a place to hang-dry clothes. Very clean interior. This will sound strange, but fantastic toilet paper!!

Would recommend that bath towels be made available, rather than having to request them. Would ask that toiletries, in addition to the hand and dish soap provided, include shower gel, as a hot shower to wash travel off is the first priority! Would not recommend for those who have issues with steep, narrow stairs.

the property is spacious and well decorated. everything is different but works really well. lots of thought had been put into making this a great space to stay. the kitchen is really well stocked and has everything you could need.

loved the outside spaces and the general quirkiness of the decoration. the property feels really different, there is something to notice and look at in every room.

Location was very good, and since it was out of season we could park close by. The house was very well equipped and the beds were comfortable.

It was cold on arrival and it took quite a while for the house to warm up. The Internet was a bit slow too.

Spacious well equipped living areas and outside patio, well located in Sancerre. Good bedrooms and bathroom upstairs.

Beds not made up, Bath towels not provided as standard, only advised day before check in, altho hostess willingly sorted for us. 1 small roll of toilet paper, no bathroom soap… was advised toiletries not provided but basic amenities should have been provided, esp for international visitors

A beautiful, traditional home with all modern facilities in the centre of this lovely village. Centrally placed in a quiet road with parking easily found throughout the week. The hosts have furnished the house with many, creative touches and have thought of everything in terms of comfort, including local wine and beer to enjoy - the honesty box is a great idea. We spent many hours using the terraces and are already planning our return trip! All our queries were answered quickly via booking.com and email. Fabulous!

The property was in a great location within walking distance of central Sancerre and also good to walk out of town into the local countryside.
