About this house rental
This big and comfy property is located in Helensville Auckland. The huge 5 and a half hectares land will ensure that you are able to enjoy your peaceful holiday in a quiet and uninterrupted environment. Walking down the hill across the paddocks to the bottom of the property, there is a fully fenced bush area, about 2 hectares, with big kauri trees. You will surely enjoy the beautiful birdsongs.
The house is located on top of the hill which consists of 5 bedrooms with double beds, 3 bathrooms, 1 kitchen and 1 kitchenette including 2 master ensuite. The living area is wide and open with beautiful farm views from the sliding doors and windows. A large and fully functional kitchen in the main living room, and another kitchenette. The house also has a big and private outdoors swimming pool that is perfect for the summer.
It takes less than 45 minutes to drive to Auckland Airport, 35 minutes to drive to Auckland CBD, 20 minutes to the biggest Northwest Mall, less than 10 minutes to local town centres - Helensville and Waimauku. The nearby Huapai/Kumeu region is in the heart of the wine country. Lots of vineyards and ample restaurants are close by.
Our world famous special black sand beach of Muriwai is only 20 minute drive . It hosts a remarkable Gannet Colony (bird watching area) and the whole area has lots of walks and activities. Two great mountain biking tracks are short drive away. The local forests also host tree adventures, roping between giant pines and paint balling.

2. An exit cleaning fee is required. The cleaning fee shown on this listing is for a two to five night stay for up to ten people: it may be more for longer stays and larger groups.

In case our swimming pool is not available (This has never occurred by now) because of damages or safety issues, no compensation is available, and no negative feedback is acceptable. Please do not book if you disagree with this.
7. Please bring your own food, drinks and towels. We provide Tea Towels and bath mats only.

We really enjoyed staying here. Jane and her cleaners were amazing.. Easy, fast communication and extremely accommodating last minute. The home is spacious and we all loved having our separate bathrooms and spaces. The kids loved the pool so much. Everything was clean and extremely easy to follow instructions. Highly recommend this home A++

This place suited us as only 8kms to reunion base and 12kms to Woodhill forest where family did tree walks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our comfortable stay at this beautiful home. Ofc the pool was our first attraction, but for the kids we had with us there was lots of room to run around and animals to look at.
Our stay was too short too be honest but we felt very much welcomed by our house manager who was great at communication.

Great spacious accommodation for large groups or families, but beware you pay per person although advertised as ‘sleeps 10’ . Rather dated and only accommodation I have been to that doesn’t supply towels ! These cost extra .

My family and I were very impressed with the property and the communication skills of the property owner. We knew exactly the process of check-in and check out and any other items that would maximise the enjoyment of the stay! This is definitely a shortlist on our accommodations for our next family trip/vacation!

Had a great break away with friends.
After paying, there were conditions to agree to before we could get the key. We didn’t like this, it was too late to cancel. But the conditions were fair, just prefer to know the conditions in advance so we can decide if the place is right.
There was a bbq, but it wasn’t good. Too much rust on the grills. We didn’t use it.
The fireplace was AMAZING. We bought a box of wood and a box of kindling for about $28. It kept us warm for 2 days with some leftovers.
Gas cookers are GREAT! And those steel benches were so nice, easy to clean.

Great space and location. Having the pool was good. A few minor issues (lack of tin opener/ plug/ oven dishes/ TV reception) considering the price.

Nice big house. Could do with a bit more homely feel to it. The only slight issue was that you cannot jump into the pool to avoid water level dropping and filter being damaged. Other than that, the pool was lovely on a hot summer day and the overall stay was good.

The pool is over salted but clean. House inside was very clean though. Curtains need a little detailing as some hooks were hanging off. Our check out time was 11am and the owners arrived at 11.10 am and became quite offensive that we were still there, just clearing the bins and last few bag from the kitchen. The male owner became quite agitated and bumped our 5 year old grandson right off his feet in the doorway from the entrance hall to the 1st bedroom. We had used the bbq, which had not been cleaned from the previous visitors, but dutifully cleaned it and returned it to the back. It’s a pity that a lovely stay was marred by a thoughtless owner. At the lunch later many of the guests that had stayed at other venues had been made welcome and accommodated to stay on later without being pushed out on the precise minute. Maybe just a couple of thoughts for the owners.

Highly Recommend
Jane is such a host, and the prompt response from her is just amazing. The property is beyond explanation. My family enjoyed our 2020 Christmas. Lovely views from all parts of the house, to top it all off, salt water swimming pool. Brought the ocean to to us instead of driving all the way to the beach and back. My family really love this Bach and wish to return. Thank you Jane.

Lovely place super nice setting. Hassle free. Jane was great to deal with. Kids loved the pool. Only suggestion from us would be an iron on the premise would have been awesome but again not a biggie great stay thank you.

wen we arrived we did have a problem with the water tge tank was low, but we stayed a extra night and gt a discount because of the water problem we did get water .... was really nt a problem, had a awesome time we will b back !!! thank u jane awesome communication ❤❤❤

Tranquil Farm Views very relaxing****
My family and elderly parents thoroughly enjoyed this tranquil home good space in the 5 bedroom home . the pool was very refreshing and the use of the outside space for exercise training and a bbq after was great! Wi-Fi worked well in each room as we enjoyed movies in the spacious living room

Helensville
The property was clean and tidy and suited us as it was located not too far away from our daughter. We took our own towels but didn't realise we needed tee towels and bath mats. When you are flying to Auckland it is hard to bring all those things with you as it adds to your luggage. Shower in the shub bath was very hot and we didn't use it. We couldn't regulate it any cooler. Showers in the other bathrooms were fine. No tea or coffee so take your own.

Working away from home
The property is lovely with wonderful country views. Jane was extremely nice to deal with and was happy to help us in any way to accomodate our needs. She is a lovely person and we would happily use this property again.
