The staff where so lovely and incredibly helpful with anything we needed in the hotel and outside the hotel. We originally booked 2 nights and ended up booking for 3 more nights.

Very nice new hotel with perfect locality. Big bed. Nice pool. Helpful staff.
Toilet with glass door in the room.

Property has its charm, a relaxing outdoor environment with swimming pool and beautiful garden. For sure with potential to be a top place for a few nights. Would not recommend for the paid price and not for more than 1/2 nights.
The open rooms with no separation between bath/shower and bedroom and window/door to garden.
The pillows are too flat, and when asked for extra pillows, unfortunately no extra pillows available.
The matress is quite hard, at least not that comfortable for long hour sleep.
The breakfast is nextdoor and limited to a list to choose from. Coffee is average.

very cozy and intimate hotel with Tulum as its main decor style. staff is very friendly and helpful
only thing I want to mention is the breakfast that is served. it’s very small and not that creative. you get a small granola, two mini croissants and a bun with chocolate.

Breakfast is very poor.

Pool is good, cozy territory, beautiful design, quiet
The air conditioner leaked water that flowed right next to the bed. All staff were very friendly and polite except the old lady.

Beatifull spacious room, very clean, nice layout, good shower,...spacious bed but a bit hard
Wifi was suboptimal sometimes. The breakfast was delicious but a bit poor (a juice, coffee, small yochurt/granola bowl and some small pastries like a crossoints). Would expect a bit more choice, and not everyday the same breakfast. Overall we booked with last minute discount, but i think its overpriced.

location was quaint with access to street shops and restaurants. beds were comfortable and quiet a/c. weekend staff very nice and friendly.
We chose this property because of the wonderful breakfast and restaurant reviews unfortunately this was closed during our stay, would have been nice to be made aware before booking the with breakfast option. Open shower facing the bed has odd, but didn’t bother us much.

the location at la veleta, the nice decor of the room and facilities and especially the host who gave us so many great Tipps what to explore around tulum!
nothing, everything was perfect

The actual shower was great, it has good water pressure. Loved the plants and the lights.
Free parking but limited spaces)
Felt quite secured with the bell at the entrance.
I hated that there was no door in the shower cubicle, be careful because when you take a shower it sprays sounds the room.
I didn’t like the pillows decor, they were uncomfortable.
I didn’t like that the breakfast is not in the hotel (you have to walk to a restaurant)

Nice plants and pretty quite.
Cappucino is not included in breakfast just espresso or americano...
The beds are hard as a rock.
Pillows are old and clumpy.
The bedding needs to be updated.
Room is dingy and with barely any privacy.
You cannot let fresh air in the room without giving up your privacy or opening the window door.
Far away from beach and restaurants.

good sized rooms
very rude staff, the staff gave away our pillows to another room. when we asked them for pillows the guy at the front desk shrugged his shoulders and said he didn’t have any and he couldn’t do anything about it. it was 6pm in the evening. he also refused to call the manager and told us to complain to booking.com. breakfast one morning was in a restaurant 10min down the road and very basic, the other morning it was in a place just outside the hotel and even worse. we all left hungry and had to pay extra to get a bit more food even though we should have had breakfast included. the shower heads were never de-limescaled so the water can only out of 2 little holes meaning it was painful on the skin. it is definitively not a 4 star hotel, we wouldn’t go back

Amazing peaceful rooms, beautifully arranged around a central pool, quiet, friendly, chill, secure due to locked front gate, good lighting, and wonderful location. Smart management, and purified water available 24hrs.
Leaving. Also, that the guys in mgmt seemed educated and well taken care of, while the cleaning lady looked very worn down and not well cared for.

Location and Cafe staff
The hotel looked nice at the first glimpse, but the design in the room and service were extremely poor. The shower had this open concept, which seemed cool, but there's only one ceiling mount shower head installed toward the exterior of the shower area. Having no separating glass door, made a big area in the room wet, messy and unclean. There're limited towels in the room and we had to ask for it every time; especially for wiping out the flooring, it's turned out to be a big pain! We needed some utensils in the room (Plate, fork and knife) to eat fruit, but they could not provide any, which was quite disappointing and strange for a hotel at this price. However, the major underwhelming point about this hotel, was the rude behavior of one of the property managers (Veronica, I guess) and the guy who was the staff in the evening. They're rude, arrogant, not welcoming and not accommodating our questions and needs. It's not an isolated event during check-in, we ran into the manager the next day and she didn't even bother to greet us. We also asked about parking spot for our rental car and Vespa overnight and the response from the staff guy was that he didn't care and he's not responsible.
The pool temperature was freezing cold, there's no hot tub, no lounge/cafe area, no TV or decent lighting in the room. So, when it rains in Tulum, there's basically nothing to do in the hotel.

There was nothing that I didn’t like about Era Hotel & Spa. Even before I arrived the staff took care of arranging transportation from CUN to Tulum. Upon arriving I was greeted with a smile, bags taken to the room and a brief tour of the property. No matter the time of day the staff greeted you with a smile; was ready and willing to assist and/or provide recommendations. They provided free bicycles for use to use to bike to the Tulum ruins. Awesome stay and experience, definitely would pick this hotel again.
Honestly there was nothing that I didn’t like about this property.

Although the reviews are good for this hotel we did not enjoy our stay at all. The room was dirty and dusty , the bed was creaky and felt like it was about to break and mattress was rock hard. The amenities were no where near as good as any other hotel we stayed at in Tulum. Spa was not open , bar was not open - you really are not getting a good deal for your money here. Choose somewhere else unless you want to feel you are staying in a hostel for the price of a premium hotel.

unfortunately had to cut our stay short only managed one night due to something coming up which was gutting as the room is absolutely beautiful! really handy location in tulum town and not far from beach , it was my partners birthday and the staff put little balloons and drink in the room such a nice request and the most loveliest staff will be going back once back in tulum!

Property itself is lovely, albeit on the ‘wrong’ side of town - you really want to be further towards the strip that runs down to the beach. That said, two amazing restaurants a stones throw away. Room was super comfy, very pleasant and very comfortable bed etc.
No Swimming pool. We were sadly horrified to arrive at the property and find a makeshift tarpaulin strewed across the swimming pool, which was empty and full of plaster which had been chipped off it. No one had made any effort to contact us about this in advance (to allow us to make alternative plans) so we were very annoyed when we found out the main pull to the property was out of action. For them to not refund a nights stay etc was also pretty appalling.
They say you can use the ‘spa’ tub to cool down, but this is in essence a large hot tub (with no jets), which also turned any white swimming attire yellow (as it did for my nails and skin), so take care not to be in there for long.
In another bizarre twist, we were also told that there was no WIFI and they needed to get a repair piece for it to work, being directed to use the WIFI in the restaurant outside. Weirdly, I could see that the network appeared on my phone so I asked for the password ‘for when it may work’ and shock… it worked immediately. Very very strange?
All in all, very disappointing stay.
