About this cabin rental
Beautiful family cabin surrounded by a white pine grove that sleeps up to 8 people with 3 queen beds-- one on the main and lower level, and 1 queen bed and 1 bunk bed in the loft. Well appointed, fully-equipped kitchen and a cozy gas-burning fireplace in the spacious living room. There's also a rec room downstairs with a pool table and Pac man to enjoy. Free WiFi!
After grilling out on the huge wrap-around deck with the propane grill, enjoy the beautiful surroundings a new, relaxing hot tub on the covered deck. Maybe even enjoy a roaring campfire at the outdoor fire ring.
To make your stay worry-free, all linens and towels are provided. All you need to bring are your personal items and food for a great time! Please note, to enjoy the beautiful outdoors in all it's glory, there is no Internet so as not to distract you from the beautiful Hocking Hills surroundings!

My family had such a wonderful weekend away at the cabin. Very easy to find off the road, gorgeous property and outdoor games like tetherball and space to roam. The inside of the cabin had everything we needed, and the rooms were clean and comfortable for night time. We would love to return to this cabin again next year.

Lovely cabin, very well stocked kitchen, nice modern bathrooms, comfortable beds and furniture. We only had 4 people but 8 could be comfortable. Teens enjoyed the game room! Restaurants available within 10 minutes.

My wife and I got away for her birthday. The property was very clean, well stocked and exactly what we needed. We would love to bring the whole family back for another weekend!

We had a great time in Hocking Hills!! The cabin was amazing, beautifully decorated & very cozy. There was a lot to keep the kids & adults entertained (pool table, hot tub, Pac-Man, toys, tether ball, board games, etc). Loved the large dining room table where everyone could sit & eat meals together. It was relaxing sitting on the front porch in the mornings while having coffee. The cabin was close to all the caves/trails in Hocking Hills too! Had an awesome time, highly recommend!

Much needed & overdue vacation this yr.
I've had this cabin info saved for some time.
This vacation was the time yo reserve it.
We needed yard space for the kiddos but private enough that we could enjoy nature.
The oldest grand asked the night before leaving why we just couldn't buy the place & stay.
Morning of departure he cried & half way home he announced he wanted to live in OH.
Now he wants dad to build a log cabin.
The Merlot is the cleanest csbin we've stayed in the 7 yrs weve been visiting.
Bathrooms on every floor level was very convenient for the kids.
The illuminated deck at night was cool & the fan during those 100+ degree days allowed one to be comfortable outside.
We picked wild black raspberries & made homemade ice cream too.
Can't wait for a return visit.

We had a great weekend hanging out in this beautiful cabin. It was clean and provided lots of activities for us to do during our stay.

We have stayed in a lot of condos/houses for vacation and this is by far the most well stocked place (especially the kitchen) we have ever been in. And it’s perfect for kids. The Pac-Man and pool table brought me back to my childhood growing up in the bowling alley when my parents were in a league. Not to mention all the other toys/games. We had a wonderful time especially since this was the first vacation in about 10 years that my oldest son could join us. I would love to come back in the fall when the leaves change :)

Long weekend with family to hike Hocking Hills and zip line. Cabin location was perfect and the hot tub was appreciated after hiking all day. Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed.

We had a lovely weekend at the Merlot Cabin! The kitchen was well supplied for all the cooking we did, and the cabin is comfortable and beautiful! Location was great for the park and trails.

The cabin was as described, and the amenities are top notch. The location is perfect, SO close to Old Man’s Cave and Cantwell Cliffs.
Abundant privacy and everything you need to be comfortable and relax. 6 adults slept comfortable in the best mattresses we’ve ever slept on in a rental!
Cell reception is not the best, but the WiFi works great if needed. A couple of us are executives and enjoyed the excuse to leave our phones face-down in the bedrooms while we enjoyed this amazing property! I think I clocked 15 minutes of screen time the entire weekend, the best vacation from tech EVER!

My family had a great time in the Merlot. We had deer in the backyard every morning. An owl watching us in the hot tub, and got to enjoy a wonderful getaway inside a warm, clean cabin.

We rented the cabin for the Thanksgiving weekend for our family celebration.
Location is good, although a little close to the road.
Cabin was clean, comfortable and decorated very nicely.
The pool table and video games in the basement is a nice addition.

We love the cabin and all the details of it! So close to Hocking Hills. We loved the porch and hot tub.

Perfect place for a girls getaway! We enjoyed hiking at Old Mans Cave and Rock House and some R & R with a cozy fire in the fireplace. After our hikes we got in the hot tub, and got out feeling relaxed and pampered!
The 3 levels gave us all our own space when we wanted to chill out and have some alone time to unwind. We will definitely come back here - it was my favorite HH cabin and I have been coming for more than 20 years!

Loved the little cabin in the woods feeling. There was plenty of room and we didn’t feel crowded, and there were even dvds there so we had a movie night. It’s a great place to stay.

We had a great time at the Merlot! We were constantly seeing all kinds of critters around the property- deer, frogs, butterflies and all kinds of birds. Beautiful area and beautiful home! Very clean and hospitable.

Right off the highway for convenience, yet nestled into a pocket of woods with all the wildlife you could hope to see. Sitting in one of the many rocking chairs on the wrap around porch one morning we watched the deer graze while drinking our coffee. Very peaceful! Clean! Beds were very comfortable. Hot tub was a great way to end the night after all our exploring with the kids. Definitely will stay again as there is so much to do in the area.

We had lots to do not only on the property but close by. The only part was that the tv in the bedroom on the first floor went out. And according to my granddaughters the tv on the top floor wouldn’t work. Another thing is no wifi we had to go off the property to make and receive calls

We had a nice weekend at the Merlot Cabin with family. The house was as specified in the listing so we knew what to expect. The small issues we had were not knowing how to operate the fireplace since the remote's display didn't seem to be functioning properly, and there was a pretty strong sulpher smell from the water, even the filtered water from the fridge. Some of the outlets at the house were also not very helpful since they were covered with faceplates that blocked part of the plug and prevented some plugs going in. We enjoyed the backyard fire ring and my daughter was happy with the playground.

The main problem with this rental is the lack of being able to communicate with whomever is staying at the lodge, with lack of cell service, and no wifi. If my wife or one of her friends had an emergency at home, there is no way to reach them. They do have a landline, but you need some sort of code to be able to call long distance. Communication with the property manager was very pleasant and professional. They really enjoyed their stay, it was a girls weekend. I believe I would have to think hard about staying again, just because of the the lack of wifi, or cell service.

If we could give this property 10 stars we would. The home is absolutely beautiful! We felt like we were at home. It’s well taken care of, has great amenities, and very well stocked with the essentials. The location is perfect and easily accessible to all the caves and Hocking Hills State Park. The owners were excellent with communicating and very responsive to anything we needed. They went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stayed. We definitely will be back!!

This cabin is great! There was only two of us on this trip. I am not a fan of taking trips with other couples in a place where you're always in someone's face. This cabin is easily big enough for three couples or a couple of small families without being cramped up. There is plenty to do already provided in the cabin for all ages. Highly recommend this one.

Our family stayed thanksgiving weekend at your beautiful log home. The grounds were stunning and the amenities were perfect. The home was located to so many different trails and with the fire pit and hot tub, it was absolutely fabulous! Thanks for a wonderful weekend!!

This cabin is perfection - well built, impeccably appointed, close to the highway yet secluded, fully equipped with everything one could possibly need and extremely clean. Everything worked. We had a fantastic time.

Loved the property! Very clean and comfy and centrally located to many attractions in the Hocking Hills area. We are planning on booking again either in the fall or next summer. Owners are very prompt in replying to questions. Highly recommended!

Great vacation house in Hocking Hills
We had a great time at the Merlot. The weather was a bit of a hindrance but with games, a pool table and a hot tub we still had a great time. We were able to do a bit of hiking as so many of the trails were close by that when there was a break in the rain, we could easily get to a location to squeeze a hike in. Beautiful house that is immaculate. Highly recommend!
