This was a great vacation home for our family vacation in Pacifica. The view of the ocean and hot tub were some of the highlights of this home. There was plenty of space for all 6 of us. We enjoyed walking to the beach, hiking trails, shops and restaurants. However, the grade is VERY steep and the walk back up to the house was a workout. Please note there were no beach towels and we wished we would have brought some. Overall, we were very happy staying here.

Communicating with the rental company was very easy, they answer emails extremely quickly. I can certainly appreciate the fast and detailed communication. The check-in process was very easy, and the instructions were clear and detailed. They were kind to leave a small plate of snacks for us when we arrived at the Rental. There was plenty of parking in the driveway. Although the driveway was kind of hard to get into, the team made sure we knew everything about the property and made the experience very nice. I enjoyed working with the MARBELLA team and would happily book with them again. The Rental itself had a close proximity to the beach, less than a five minute drive. The Hills in Pacifica are always a bit of a challenge, but definitely worth it the rental itself was spacious with plenty of seating to accommodate our family. no complaints, I would stay here again.

It was comfortable, we enjoyed the view.

I thought Marbella Lane was a person who is actually a host, but it is not it is a company through vrbo that ask for too much personal information before they give you the code to check in. I never had this much hassle checking in an Airbnb in my life. They ask for your identification again and your method of pain again, even though you already paid through vrbo, it felt like a scam because I never had to present those things all over again I thought once they confirm the booking they send you the information the day of or the day before to check in with a personal host. I called them because we also had a hard time finding a house on a mountain on the hill at night time with animals that we're not used to and we can't see. They should tell you that their company through vrbo when you're booking and all the unnecessary things you have to go through before you book and put your card number in to book with them. They sent us additional directions to the home and gave us extra rules about tightening up the house or cleaning up the home that's not on the app or on their profile when you book. I understand not damaging anything breaking anything but I can leave a dish in the sink because you're going to charge me $200 to clean up anyway they damn there asked me to sweep up the damn floor and wash the towels and sheets and stuff. They don't you tell you that got coyotes you got to go in the house after 9:30 they put you on the curfew it wasn't pleasant but the house is clean.

You could not find a better view of Pedro Point than the one right from the living room in this lovely property. We loved the well-appointed kitchen, living room and the little balcony off the master bedroom. Excellent location, only 15 minutes from SFO, providing a perfect base camp for exploring Pacifica, or beautiful drives to nearby Half Moon Bay and the City.

The interior of the house was very nicely appointed and as described in the listing. The landscaping around the house was in severe neglect and the patio needed painting, cleaning, and new cushions on the furniture. Our biggest problem was that we found mice in the house. The manger was very responsive and sent a handyman right over. He left us traps and we promptly caught 4 mice! It put a damper on our vacation to have to deal with and then dispose of the mice ourselves. Will not be back.

This property was fantastic, amazing views and the rooms were very comfortable. The management team was incredibly responsive by email and very easy to work with.

We had a lovely family vacation at this house, very clean and had everything
we needed, plenty of room for everyone and a nice kitchen and Laundry area. We enjoyed to hot tub and view , we were easily able to make a few day trips to Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz ,we would stay here again.

All of our guests were pleased with this house. The location was really nice. Pacifica is a very nice area. All of our expectations were met.
4.8
Let me start with we had a wonderful time, lots of room for us 6 women. Place was very clean and well stocked with cooking supplies and various sundry that you could need, even found a first aid kit in one bathroom. One suggestion though is more wine glasses, there were only 4. There are 2 bathrooms but one is in the adjacent bedroom, not part of the main house. That bedroom is large with king size bed but it would be a difficult room to access for elderly as it is down a pretty steep staircase off the deck, so that extra bedroom and bathroom could be unacceptable for elderly. We range in age from 56 to 71 and did fine, we put the 2 “younger “ ones there. It should be something to consider though. And speaking of steep, the drive way is pretty scary but if you stick to the right side and gun it, it is accessible. One car was a RAV 4 with higher clearance so not a problem but for my Camry and the other Cadillac it took a little finesse but we managed. Anyway I still rated it five as these negatives were still manageable and it is a beautiful home.

My stay was great however there were no closets that were usable in 2 of the bedrooms--my daughter graduated with a masters degree from San Francisco University and we did not have an iron to press it off that we could find otherwise loved it

This place is just as described by the owner. Nested up on a hilltop with amazing views of the Pacifica beach where you can enjoy fresh air, tranquil sounds of nature and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. The kitchen was stocked with the essentials and the towels were soft and clean as well as the rest of the home. You could walk down the road to the local shops but the walk back up is pretty steep. Overall my family loved staying and can’t wait to visit the area again.

This property was literally sparkling clean. I could smell the cleaning products upon walking in. It has a beautiful view, and is very spacious. The backyard is very relaxing. I would definitely come back.
Thank you !

Thank you for opening the doors to your beautiful property!
Prior to check-in, there was so much communication from the management team it gave me a bit of anxiety. I understand one must be thorough and ensure that those coming in to the home respect the rules and arrangements of the property but, that's why we sign the legal documents before hand. Nonetheless,
I'd like to thank the Marbella Team for the support, the hand-holding prior to check-in and for ensuring that our stay was as beautiful and as comfortable as it turned out to be!
Aside from that, it was a very smooth check-in process, and the property itself was one for our family's books!! The location for us was too perfect. Of the four days we were there, 2 days were set apart for some serious walking in to town, and hiked some of the nearby trails. We got to know some of Pacifica's hidden gems that, had we not stayed at this property, we may have never found on our own.
Please note: the drive up the street to access the property is not for the faint of heart! Like another reviewer said: if you want the views, you gotta make the drive up! It's very steep and after the massive rainfall northern California had over the NYE weekend, those steep streets looked like cascades! The pre-check-in jitters and the faint hearts up the steep inclined streets all melted away with the panoramic views of the ocean from the main part of the house, the comfortability of the house itself, the surrounding mountains, the walkability to town, the access to hiking trails and easy access to the beach, made it all that much more worth it!!
We'd do it again if given the opportunity to stay at this property. Thank you once again and Happy New Year!!

Family vacation
We had a great time! Beautiful house with amazing views!

Beautiful location!
This house is lovely - nestled against the mountain just up from the beach in Pacifica. The view is amazing with a great open living room that overlooks the ocean. We stayed over the 4th of July holiday and we’re able to sit and watch fireworks right there from the living room! The house has an open layout and was a great size for our 6 member family. Communication was excellent with the owners - I would recommend this house for anyone looking for a nice getaway to Pacifica!

This was the cleanest vacation rental we've ever stayed in. The home is beautiful, with a great view of the ocean from the living room and great location that was close to everything we wanted to do. At the bottom of the hill, there is a walking trail that goes for about 1.5 miles, and it was a great daily activity for us. We also walked/ran up and down the .5 hill to the house for daily exercise. No matter how great of shape you are in, that incline will definitely be a workout!
The only treacherous thing is the driveway! It's such a steep incline up the drive that it was hard for us to park a minivan, which is only front-wheel drive. If you have the option of renting a four-wheel drive car, definitely do that. And the owners provide instructions on how to park by swerving as close to the right side that has the 400 house number on it, but my husband found that it was better to do a three-point turn into the driveway. Back up toward the house across the street and then floor it while facing the driveway at a straight angle.
There is an amazing glass-top access in the wooden floor that is covered by a rug in the bedroom closest to the kitchen. It has a wooden ladder that goes down into the depths of hell (some sort of dark basement or bunker) that looks like bodies can be stored down there in a scary Hannibal Lector-esque sub-basement. We discovered it as we were doing a final check as we were checking out! I wouldn't recommend going down there, but just looking at it will inspire all kinds of crazy/creative ideas if you're a writer (which I am, LOL).
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. And the owners/property managers were super responsive to our email questions and checked in with us a few times to see if we needed anything.

This was a wonderful rental with wonderful views of the ocean. It’s also a great location near several restaurants, a grocery store, and the beach. The property management group were super communicative and even checked in during our stay. It was a nice touch. Check in and check out was very easy and straightforward.
One thing to note is that one of the bedrooms and bathroom is in a separate detached space. This wasn’t clear on the rental description. It wasn't a huge issue but wish we had known ahead of time.

In almost a decade of vacation rental stays for work and fun, this was my first bad experience. It was a doozy.
Even before the plumbing disaster, there were problems. The place looked okay at first glance (just a little shabby and dusty around the edges), but we soon discovered it filthy under beds—a haven for hair, dust bunnies, an old makeup tube, and hair pins. Someone's old contact lenses were stuck to the night table. The kitchen drawers and cabinets were sticky and had crumbs. Pans had residual grease on them. The sheets in the guest house had not been changed from the last guest and showed remnants of a snack!! Needless to say, this place was far from "sanitized." It was disgusting.
Nevertheless, we were determined to have a nice beach vacation. We decided to be good sports—re-washed surfaces and all the dishes we planned to use and stacked them on the kitchen table to avoid putting anything back into the sticky cupboards. Luckily we’d brought our own sheets.
Then, on the day before our departure, we woke up to a gurgling noise and found the toilet overflowing and flooding multiple rooms. Sewage was also coming up from all of the drains--tub, sinks, washing machine.
Needless to say, we had to cut our week-long vacation short by a day and a night. The manager tried to blame it on us. This is after they admitted that they had recently had to change out some pipes!! Um, clearly there are major plumbing issues at this place.
Before leaving, we were faced with…
—4 hours of shoddy communication with the management company, who answered promptly but promised to keep us posted on when the plumber would arrive, but only did so after the plumber had already arrived.
—Sopping up the flood using our own cleaning supplies in order to reach and pack up our stuff while waiting for the plumbers to arrive
—Packing up while dodging the many workers who were walking through the sewage areas and tracking it around the house. A couple cleaners arrived, but the workers stayed hours longer than the cleaners and I feel terrible for the next guests, because the place was anything but sanitary!!
Once we got home, we had to wash and re-wash our clothes that were soaked in raw sewage.
The management offered to give us our $ back for the last night, which is laughable le, considering we couldn't even stay there, let alone the hassle of cleaning and moving . Stay away from this place and any place managed by Marbella Lane.

Great quiet place for family of 5! We wanted to do a mini getaway with kids (7, 5 and infant) and found this place perfect— near many beaches and hiking trails! House is nicely updated and clean with plenty of room for everyone to relax! Property manager communicated frequently which was helpful— gave us heads up about steep driveway and how to park car. I appreciated the detailed emails and fast responses to my questions! Looking forward to our next stay here in Pacifica!

Beautiful views, hot tub and deck were great. Everything was clean and well maintained. Run by a management company so communication doesn’t feel very personal but they were super responsive, professional and easy to work with. Hiking, beach and necessities (groceries, food, coffee, etc) are literally minutes away.

The location is great. The view is beautiful. The kitchen is well appointed. The house was very clean, except for gnats in the shower. The driveway was definitely problematic, but manageable. I may have missed the fact that the second bath is not in the main house, but in the detached guest house. There is stairway access to space under the house from the floor of one of the bedrooms, which, even for adults, was a bit unsettling. Overall, we had a great Thanksgiving. I look forward to visiting the area again, when the pandemic has abated.
