Welcome to our much loved STUNNING MODERN COASTAL THEMED HOME. If you are looking for a serene place to relax, enjoy and unwind…you will love our oceanview home.
We have a direct view of Rathtrevor Beach from this 7plex in Tanglewood Pl, Parksville.
Tanglewood is a community of privately owned units adjacent to Rathtrevor Provincial Park and we are 1 minute or 2 of walking distance to the beach access to the famous Rathtrevor Beach. The best part is that you will have this great view right from your home away from home! Sit back, chill and enjoy the view!

The view: We are positive that you will fall in love with our home. And not only that…you will wake up to this gorgeous view right from the Master bedroom on our king sized bed. The master bedroom also has direct access to the deck for you to enjoy the serenity and the breathtaking view of the beach with the beautiful Arbutus tree from a distance on your left overlooking the beach. Sip your coffee in the morning to this soothing view.
The space: We have repainted the entire place to soothing Benjamin Moore colors. This is a 2 br 2 bath apartment of about 1100 sq ft. for your enjoyment.
The deck: BBQ grill with 2 lounge chairs as you soak in the view from a quiet distance awaits you.
Gourmet kitchen: It has been updated to white quartz countertop on the perimeter and quartz backsplash for a refreshing white kitchen look! In contrast, the kitchen's island is in beautiful black granite giving the entire kitchen a modern yet coastal feel. Stainless Steel appliances and with everything you could possibly need from coffee maker, toaster, waffle maker, blender,. Fridge, gas range, microwave and dishwasher for your convenience.
Dishes, serving bowls, pots and pans, cutleries, wine glasses and basic kitchen stuff are provided.
Furniture: Beautifully decorated to make your time away from home as comfortable and as relaxing as possible.
Linens and beds: You will surely have a refreshing sleep with our. King sized for the Master bedroom and queen for the 2nd room with varying degrees of softness for your pillows The Italian made sofa bed also has a memory foam mattress for your enjoyment if needed. Extra pillows, comforter and blankets are available. Soft linens and towels are also provided for your use during your stay.
If you don't like the morning light to wake you up (some people love it and some don't), please bring sleeping eye masks with you. We have blinds in the entire place even for the very top ones.
Bathrooms: The ensuite is a 5 piece bathroom with a soaker tub and a glass door shower on the other side. The 2nd bathroom has glass door shower. Heated floors for your comfort for both bathrooms. White soft and fluffy bath towels as well as big beach towels are also provided. Dryer, hand soap, tissue and toilet paper are available for you.
For families with toddlers: We have Graco play pen
Business: For those of you needing a work desk, we have one in the 2nd bedroom.
Laundry: Front load Samsung washer and dryer are available for your use. Iron and ironing board as well if needed.
Road to your Oasis: It takes a ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay, West Van to Departure Bay in Nanaimo to get here. The BC ferry ride usually takes a short hour and 40 minutes. Then about 25 minute drive from Departure Bay to Tanglewood.
If you are coming from Vancouver downtown, the drive to Horseshoe Bay could take about 30-40 minutes. Give yourself ample time for the ferry. I strongly suggest for you to book reservations so you don't have to line up for the ferry. All you need is to make sure to be there at the latest 30 minutes prior to sailing time. If you're flying in from Comox airport, you can rent a car from there and be in Parksville withkn 45 minutes.
The beach: Rathtrevor is about 2 km of beach walk and you'll see Rathtrevor Provincial Park on your left. Low tide happens quite often so your walk could be as long as you feel like it.
What else : ) Toys and game boards are available as well as 2 smart TVs! Wifi available. Well we're hoping that you will be spending more time bonding with each other than being glued to those electronic gadgets that some of us can't live without. : ) Guilty one here too!
Beach toys: Of course, beach chairs and a beach wagon to accommodate your beach stuff as well as a cooler.
Wifi: Of course : ) ! Password is written inside the binder on the kitchen island for you.
Smart TVs available in the Master bedroom and living room.

Beach access: As the road starts to slope down from where the 2 storey building is, you will be walking past a few townhouses and the access would be on your far right. It usually takes a minute or two. No public access to this.

Other things to note:
We charge an extra $25/person/night after 4 registered guests including kids from 1 yr old and up to a maximum of 6 guests only including kids 1 and up.
We request that you load the dishes, pots and pans and please make sure the dishwasher is running before you leave. This will really help the cleaners to stay on time for our next guests.

What a beautiful place to stay. We had a lovely time sitting on the balcony, going to the beach and exploring the area. Joyce’s place was really stunning, so clean and in a great location. I might recommend having an extra lounger on the deck. Other than the unit had everything we needed and more. We can’t wait to return.

The view here is unparalleled. We have stayed in the complex before and Joyce's unit was great. It has a central, beautiful view and a great patio to relax or snooze on.
The place itself was clean, well laid out with a well stocked kitchen. There wasn't anything missing that we could think of. Joyce was very prompt responding to inquiries. Check in and out was simple.

The condo was perfect and the view was stunning! We loved sitting outside on the deck having breakfast enjoying the morning sun each day after a beautiful scenic walk to top bridge as well as several strolls along the beach in the evening/afternoon. Very relaxing vacation!

Place was super clean, views were amazing, easy walk to Rathtrevor beach and trails, close to shopping, hiking, and events. Kitchen was well equipped... beds were comfortable. Host always responded in a timely manner. Definitely recommend and would stay here again on a heartbeat.

Our stay at OceanView Oasis was terrific. The condo is in a great location - steps away from Rathtrevor Park/ Beach and we were treated to beautiful sunrises each morning. The condo is beautifully decorated and all the amenities made our stay very comfortable. The host also checked in when we arrived to ensure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

Rathtrevor Beach is beautiful and Tanglewood is perfectly located to enjoy this exceptional natural setting. We are familiar with other properties at Tanglewood and always enjoy our stay. This time was no exception, it’s a wonderful location. If you were staying more than a couple of days the lack of a chest of drawers in either bedroom is a drawback. Also the white towels are going gray. This is the most expensive pricing in Tanglewood and seems overpriced relative to other units.

Amazing Oceanside Getaway
This was the perfect location for an anniversary celebration. Joyce's place was spacious, clean, well organized, and well appointed. There were numerous 'little touches' that made our stay indulgent. We certainly felt relaxed and at home in the condo. The location was perfect - we awoke to the soft sound of the waves and a glorious view of the ocean from the bedroom and living area. And the sunset over the water as we sipped wine on the patio brought each day to an end. The beach and trails at Rathtrevor Beach were short steps away and all the conveniences of Parksville easily accessible. Check in and out were efficient and Joyce messaged us to ensure everything was ok. When we had one small question about how an appliance worked and she was quick to respond. We will certainly plan to return to this lovely property. Thank you Joyce!

Much Needed Getaway
We had a fantastic weekend at this beautiful condo. The accommodations were clean and quiet and we found everything as advertised plus more! Joyce was easily reachable and accommodating. I highly recommend this unit! Bananagrams, good food, wine, sisters and a long awaited visit with the cousins!

Perfect spot
Joyce’s place was everything we could have asked for. A beautifully appointed and fully equipped condo with a great location and stunning views. Comfortable beds and fluffy towels. Kitchen fully stocked with all sorts of small appliances, pots, pans, dish ware, etc. etc. that allowed us to easily prepare meals at home (great BBQ too!). Beach chairs and wagon were also nice to have. Joyce was a terrific and attentive host. I can whole heartedly recommend her place.

Great place for a family trip
Very nice suite and outstanding location. Closer to the beach than most other units in the resort and has a great view of Rathtrevor Beach. A wonderful ocean breeze can be felt on the large patio and throughout the suite if the windows and doors were open.

This is a beautiful rental property in an amazing location!!! The property is located very close to the beach, restaurants, the town of Parksville, mini-golf, and Rathtrevor provincial park. The townhouse is exactly as advertised, warm, welcoming, comfortable and is well appointed!!! We loved the welcome package and note and felt Joyce was very responsive, friendly, warm and kind in all her dealings with us. I would t hesitate to stay here again and HIGHLY recommend this listing. :)

Little family getaway
We have a hectic life and so were very happy that we booked 3nights at Joyce lovely little piece of heaven! I was so relaxed when we returned back home.
Joyce her home is perfectly situated, super family friendly and amazing area, few minutes walk to the beach... oh and dont forget the lovely evenings we had on the patio with a glass of wine or the morning coffee I had and just watching the eb and flow...
Everything went super smooth! Her apartment was super clean and everything you need was available and if you couldn't find it you just shoot her a text and she helps you out as soon as she can (like right away;) )
Definitely a recommendation for our family and friends!

Beachside Paradise
The pictures look good but the real thing is even better! We just came back from a wonderful week stay in Joyce’s home and it was just perfection! You are hit by the view when you walk upstairs to the condo...it is just stunning. Then you take a look around your “home away from home” and you will be ecstatic that you picked this condo to stay in. Beautiful furnished and decorated, just like out of a Pottery Barn catelogue, every detail well thought of and the kitchen is lovely and well stocked. We have been going to Parksville on vacation for years, we even stayed in the townhouses at Tanglewood, but this condo beats them all, hands down. Fantastic location right on Rathtrevor Beach, with the beach a short walk from the unit. It is also a short drive into town and for the kiddies aside from the beach, which goes on for miles, there is a mini-putt a short walk from the condo and for the adults, the restaurant at Tigh Na Mara is a short walk away and is really good. But you may not want to tear yourself away from the comfort and the view from the well furnished balcony and just BBQ at home, like we did most nights. I couldn’t recommend this condo more and we will definitely be back! Thanks Joyce for sharing your little piece of paradise with us! Jane and Rick

Joyce’s place is beautiful, from the decor to the breathtaking views. Place is as described and had many kitchen gadgets to use! We were very comfortable and unit is very private. Joyce is very detailed and responsive to any requests/questions. Will be looking to stay again!

Tranquil and luxurious Oasis
From booking to check out Joyce was a lovely hostess ,thoughtful and easy to talk with.
My daughter and I wanted a spit to enjoy the beach and have some time together and we found both at the beach house.
The view was marvelous and the condo was beautifully decorated and very comfortable.
As my daughter is attending school on the island we will definitely be back!

Paradise Regained
Our stay in this Oceanview Oasis was perfect from the first minute we opened the door to the last time we closed and locked the door behind us. It was spotless, and it was so well equipped that I didn’t have to bring anything extra. The view from the condo is breathtaking, and I spent a good portion of every day looking at the sea from both the windows as well as the beautiful, large deck. The beds were very comfortable, and the furniture was comfy as well. We really relaxed for the month we spent in this lovely condo. I would definitely recommend this paradise to anyone looking for a perfect, relaxing holiday by the sea, and we will be back for another stay in the future. Thank you for making such a beautiful home available to us!
