great location. very spacious and light. very comfortable beds. lovely coffee and really nice to have milk left for us. the shower was brilliant. it was really helpful to have our own open garage.

The flat was well equipped, Mas and Tony were quick to communicate with us, beds were comfortable, the upstairs was deceptively spacious and the location was great - it was only a few minutes walk to a grocery store, fish and chip shop, the beach and all that Mersea island has to offer. We had a lovely couple of nights.
Downstairs is a bit small but the large bedrooms meant we socialised upstairs. There was only parking for one car and we were a group of six. We were able to find street parking and left the car there for the duration of our stay so this wasn't an issue for us.

It was a really comfortable place and situated in a great place for the beach and harbour. Lovely shower, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen.
There isn’t any garden and can be a bit noisy near the road, lots is Vespa’s around when we were there.

Location good. Plenty of room. Big TV. Garage for bikes etc.
House is reasonable value and had good shower and plenty hot water etc. but in my view, and apologies, it would benefit from declutter and upgrade to make it more 'neutral'. Couldn't find owners' phone number anywhere. Our bed had plastic sheet, i think, under bottom sheet which made it feel like hospital bed. Crumbs etc. Under chair cushion in lounge. Grey coloured towels are unattractive. 'Stuff' everywhere.

Location is perfect , walking distance to all West Mersea attractions. Communication with owner perfect as well.
The lounge area is small if you’re a group of 5 or 6 people

The location is fantastic, and parking in a garage was an unexpected bonus. The bedrooms are very spacious. The kitchen was fairly well equipped, and there was milk, tea and coffee (and varied odds and ends of food) when we arrived.
The property seemed a little shabby and unloved. The layout is a bit odd - one of the bedrooms has two sofas, but no wardrobe, and the curtains in the front bedroom are too short. Other than sitting in the bedroom, there isn't a comfortable place to sit downstairs. We thought it might make more sense to put a living room with a sofabed in the back bedroom, which would make it a much more comfortable home. It wasn't very clean, (cobwebs, dusty skirting boards) but we wondered if that was a consequence of it being empty for a while? We didn't mind too much, we're not particularly house proud, but others might have found it off putting.

Brans Estate is a lovely property that really feels like a home from home. It's very handy for local shops and a brief walk down to the waterfront. The kitchen was a joy to cook in, and the shower was to die for. The hosts were friendly and communication was top notch. I can't recommend this property highly enough.
