Amazing location, close to La Maurice and beautiful grounds with onsite access to the water, lounge chairs and a camp fire at night. Guy was so very welcoming and friendly. Showers were lovely and hot, well set up and good water pressure.

Cabin was small and cozy and rooms very small. WC was extremely tight, very difficult to use the toilet and you want to make sure you are comfortable with those you are sharing cabin with. We could hear the the road from our cabin, though not a buse road. From the room/cabin description it was not clear that the shower was outside/shared. The showers are very well set up but it would be good to have a clear mention that these are located in a separate shared cabin outside the room/accomodation cabin. We did not have wifi anywhere near the cabin.

The breakfast was both delicious and prepared specifically for the guest by the owner's wirfe. You will not find a better breakfast in the finest hotels.

It was clean, in a good location close to the national park.

If the cottage had been listed at half the price, we would have been happy. Unfortunately, it is very overpriced for what we had. It is extremely small, the cottage was designed for four people and it was cramped for two. The kitchen was two hot plates precariously balanced on a shelf. The toilet in the cottage was so small it was impossible to sit down without pushing open the door with your knees. While the setting is very beautiful, there are busy roads on both sides of the water, which does spoil the ambience somewhat unfortunately. It is absolutely not made sufficiently clear that there is no shower in the cottages, and that there is a shared shower block building as per a campsite - so we were not sufficiently prepared for this. If some of these things were made clearer on the listing, and the price reflected this, then fair enough. The property say on their website that there is wifi throughout - but they don't say that this doesn't reach as far as the cottages, and is only in the main building. Not an issue for us, but be warned if you need it.

The emplacement is wonderful. Very well maintained. Almost in the entrance to the park nature De la Mauricie.

The showers are outside of the little cottage. A new experience for us! I was not that bad.😁

Excellent location overlooking the river. Very friendly and chatty hoteliers who gave us an insight into the history of the property and the surrounding area. Phenomenal breakfast!

My friend and I couldn't be any happier about our stay at La Maison Bellmare! Guy and Katheleen were incredibly wonderful and thoughtful hosts. The moment we stepped foot at the prosperity we felt completely welcomed and completed at peace. The property is so gorgeous facing the water and is only a few short minutes from the national park and a few good restaurants. I hope I'll get to experience it in the winter time one day. I bet it will be equally stunning! Guy and Katheleen, thank you so much for a wonderful stay and for having my friend and I at your beautiful property!! You are so amazing!! :)

Our stay was very pleasant. The owner was really welcoming . He showed us around and told us a little about the history of the domain. We also got to meet Bob, their loveable outdoor cat. The place is beautiful indeed, the kind of place that offers an amazing scenery year-round. There is a nice gazebo with an incredible river view and a fireplace. The cottage is simple, but very clean and well equipped for a short stay (kitchenware, small oven, induction cook top). The BBQ outside was a big plus, just come prepared.

A more detailed description of facilities (appliances, kitchenware) on the website would be welcome. However, when contacted, the owner answered all our questions in a short delay.
