Fabulous 5 days at this location..

Fabulous location, quiet, clean, plenty of space, rooms were decorated fabulously and the amenities were spot on. very good space.

I couldn’t fault it - slightly pricey maybe.

Stunning garden, very relaxing family stay in a beautiful cottage.

The cottage was well equipped, incredibly clean, and the garden was huge and stunningly beautiful. Other guests who say the photos do not do this house justice are very accurate, as it is in an absolutely gorgeous setting. The welcome pack was an added treat, and the garden games were enjoyed by us all. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had some issues getting the shower the correct temperature, but the owners were very helpful.

Ideal location for visiting family.

Ideal location for us as we were visiting family. Close to Ilminster & Langport for shops and cafes. Great access for walking without having to drive somewhere. Very well equipped, with tea coffee, milk, bread & goodies on arrival - great after doing battle with the A303! Really good outdoor spaces for eating, drinking or just relaxing.

Lovely clean well appointed cottage in beautiful countryside

The owner was very good at communication from the outset, friendly and helpful. There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival, with all the basics and more covered. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean, tidy and the cottage well equipped. It had a lovely garden and patio area. There is a lot to see in the surrounding area, Barrington is a beautiful village to walk around.

We enjoyed ourselves very much at our stay in 700 Westport. Facilities at the cottage was very good and clean. Sandra was very helpful in directing us to the cottage. Would love to come back again someday.

An ideal cottage in a quiet location

Cottage was very well equipped and welcome pack (milk, bread, butter, jam, cake, etc) was splendid. Situated in a quiet location beside a small canal. Very convenient for us for a 2 -night break so we could attend a family gathering nearby. The owner, Sandra, was very welcoming.

Peaceful and relaxing stay in a lovely location in a well renovated cottage with large and attractiv

We loved the location. We know the area a little as we have family in Yeovil so it was easy to meet up and plenty of walks and paths from the door. Enjoyed our walk to Barrington Court across the fields and back.

With 4 adults another shower room would've been ideal, but not essential. 2 loos very handy!

Great find! Lovely and clean, really well thought out welcome extras...even breakfast cereals!!! And super tasty cup cakes. Outside had lots of seating to enjoy the scenery and listen to the birds. Leaving! Well equipped for a lazy weekend with friends.

5/5 stars. 700 Westport exceeded our expectations. We stayed in this property from 22 February to 10 March 2022. The whole house and around it were very clean. Sandra (host) was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the delicious welcoming cupcakes and it was very thoughtful that there was rice krispies for our toddler. They also provided eggs, milk, and bread. We especially liked the attention to details. The location of the house is very beautiful. Photos don't really show enough how beautiful the place is. It was a delight to see different types of birds in the garden and by the canal. The next door neighbour was kind and friendly too. It was very relaxing coming back to the property after work. It is also not far from nice restaurants. The nice fully equipped kitchen is actually bigger than how it looks like in the photo - even dishwashing became enjoyable while looking at view outside. Everything in the kitchen works so well and of good quality. The living room sofa is very comfortable too. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this property and been advertising it to friends and family. Can't wait to stay here again. Kind regards Matt

A very enjoyable week.

Pretty, cosy cottage. Clean & comfortable. Plenty of places in the local area to visit. Lots of great walks. Coast not far to drive to including Jurassic beach.

Stairs quite steep to two of the bedrooms. Road noise as it’s close by.

The property was exceptionally clean and has been refurbished to a excellent standard. Sandra had left lots of personal touches and even decorated for Xmas for us. Lovely treats of biscuits and chocs. couldn’t fault our stay

Cosy cottage with lovely facilities

The cottage is so cosy and comfortable, lovely furniture. There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival with gorgeous muffins! It was so relaxing and just what we needed.

The cottage was clean, warm and comfortable and the owners are lovely.

The photos did not do the property justice, it has been renovated very well and is extremely comfortable. The location is good.

A large mirror would be really good, we were attending parties so it mattered!

Superb

Plenty of equipment excellent location and lovely garden excellent property lovely host who came to see us after we arrived. Lots of goodies left for us like milk bread eggs cakes etc.

The only draw back was it was assumed that we would only be using the double bed so there was no other bedding in case we wanted to use another bed. To be fair though I’m sure if we asked it would have been provided.

Cosy house with lovely garden

Sandra was a fab host and we all had a great stay at the property. Beds were comfy and everything was very clean and tidy. The picture of the garden doesn’t do it justice as the bridge is not a normal road so it’s much more private than expected. Thanks for having us! :)

We're hoping to find a vacant week and come back.

This little cottage is exceptional. A fantastically appointed kitchen. Lovely linens and decor. The garden is spacious with lots of sitting out areas, and the area is pretty special.

I couldn't improve on it.

Absolutely fantastic family friendly property

It was an excellent property that really exceeded our expectations. It was well equipped and suited a family of 4. The terrace area was amazing. The facilities in the house were ideal for a family.

Very little improvement as everything was catered for.

Exactly what we wanted a peaceful retreat.

The location is exactly where we needed to be with long walks and peace and quiet. We took a short walk to the Lamb & Lion Free House where the staff were very welcoming and everything was very organised due to COVID-19.

Nothing could have been better for us. Only negative I could say is that the ground was hard due to the dry weather and was a bit difficult to walk on.

Exactly what we wanted - change of scenery and relaxing at this stressful time.

Excellent property tastefully furnished and fitted out; lovely personal welcome by owner with excellent welcome pack waiting for us indoors. Very quiet and central location for visiting Somerset and recommended local Lamb & Lion first class Sunday Lunch.

Superb

The cottage was clean, comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect for exploring and we managed to visit Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury, Brean, Lyme Regis and Charmouth in our weeks stay.
