Loved everything about this place. Walk-in distance to beach and town, hot tub, views of the bay and spotless clean.
Also dog friendly which was great.

It was secluded, spacious, and had a wonderful view of the estuary. The bedrooms huge and each had a sofa and ensuite. One bedroom had a wee room with a single bed in it, perfect for a child. The deck was roomy and we spent a lot of time sitting around the dining table there whilst cooking on the Weber bbq.
The kitchen was tiny with not enough space for a standard stove, and there was no dishwasher. One of the tiny ones would fit under the sink and make life easier, but it wasn't a big issue.
The touch lamps in the bedroom flickered which was annoying.

The Hosts were amazing. They met us on arrival and ensured we had everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. The view over the harbour was beautiful and it was great to enjoy the supplied breakfast sitting on the deck, beneath the shade sail each morning. Sky Sport was enjoyed by the guys while the wives found the kitchen was well equipped. The warm spa under the stars each night was an added bonus. The property was secluded from the neighbours by mature trees and was situated in a quiet, peaceful area. A set of steps provided easy access to the restaurants and jetty below. (The Raglan Harbour Cruises leave a number of times a day from this jetty.) It was an easy walk into town along the shoreline.
While the property sleeps 6 it is probably better suited to two couples or familes - rather than 3 elderly couples - just with the configuration of the rooms.

Plenty of breakfast supplies, Great location.
It was all to our liking would recommend.

Enjoyed the outdoor space, the location was spectacular. This home had a beautiful homely feel about it, plenty of space and room for the kids indoors aswell. Spa was exactly what we needed after an eventful day if rugby.
The hosts were an absolute gem, hardly noticed that they were home, friendly and hospitable.
Glen had all the recreational gears out ready for use, bikes, kayaks, and the brazier was nice n toastie.
There was nothing I was unsatisfied with during my stay here at Journey's End.

Very friendly, helpful host :-) ….and accomodation is in a great spot right near the wharf, not far from the village with lovely views 😊 Clean and comfortable and set up perfectly for 2 couples - with an ensuite each! Well provisioned with eggs, bread, tins of fruit, baked beans and milk and spread in the fridge! Would love to come back one day! Thank you! 😊😊
p.s. good parking outside the house too!

We loved all the amenities , awesome view and location. The kitchen was very well equipped and we loved that it had all the little extras like, sauces, salts, cooking oil, butter, milk. It's those little things and extras that make this place special.

What a truly incredible spot, views to die for, with the most amazing, attentive, friendly, thoughtful and generous hosts. Couldn't believe the level of Glen & Amy's hospitality. The stunning view of the harbour and the wharf from the large elevated deck made for a beautiful and interesting outlook. The kids loved all the yummy breakfast provisions. Use of the kayaks, to explore the coast and bikes to cycle in to town (an easy few minutes away) added to the experience. We had the best holiday ever. Can't recommend Journey's End highly enough.

Sadly the weather was horrendous - we were grateful the apartment was so spacious

The unit is large with two bedrooms/two bathrooms, an extra small bedroom and a bed in the living room. It also has a good size deck, and fairly comfortable living room with a TV and good selection of channels. It would be appropriate for a larger family group. Cleanliness was fine.
This was the most expensive place we stayed in during a month long trip. We did not feel the price equaled the experience.
When I read "exceptional breakfast" in the Booking.com description, I don't expect to self cater with a choice of dry cereals (mostly for kids), tea, coffee, canned beans, canned fruits, eggs and white bread. There was no fresh fruit nor juice. Our host offered to bring us fresh fish, but never did.
The large bedrooms lacked any dressers or even a simple luggage rack. The showers lacked shampoo and conditioner and only provided body wash. Upon meeting our host, he kept saying, "if you need anything, call me". When we did call our host to ask for shampoo, he did not pick up the phone nor return our call.
The view is straight down into a very industrial area, with a huge concrete tower directly in front of the bay. Truly ugly. This tower is pictured in the photos shown on Booking.com, but from a side view and with a wide angle lens, making it look far less intrusive.
There was no good size pot in which to cook pasta one night. It also would have been helpful to have instructions for the heater unit and the combo cooktop/toaster oven.
The water in the hot tub was cloudy.
All in all, a terrible value for the money.

It’s a clean and pretty house in a great location, just steps from the wharf. Both bedrooms have their own full bathroom with shower. There is a grill on the patio and a well stocked kitchen. They provided eggs, bread, jam, coffee and tea.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

Great spot for views, close to a couple of food shops. Beds comfy, good space, kitchen facilities ample, good entertainment equipment ie TV, sounds. Cruisy host.
Shade cloth on deck not enough for when it rains as it leaks badly. Spa jets not powerful but was still nice to soak in.

Upon arrival the host gave a full tour and nothing was a problem, awesome place well set out with a great outlook of the Harbour.
Stayed here on a work trip so I didn't get to enjoy all of the great offerings this appartment and the surroundings have on offer.
3.5
Great aspect location wise although access difficult for luggage handling and older people with less mobility would struggle
Relaxing spot to go to and Raglan a great friendly little town
Fish Shed on wharf really good value and beautiful fish
Really an apartment ....undernealth owners house, I mistakenly thought it was the whole house as thats what looked like on
website . sleeps 6 but only if you have a couple of children . Two main bedrooms good space .
Kitchen average ....needs a proper kitchen.
Needs extra cupboard spaces in bedroom etc .
This could be a really nice place but defintely needs some T L C . Quality doesn't match the price.
4.5
Location was quiet given the proximity the wharf area. Host was a great guy. Apartment is very spacious and has everything you need.
Perhaps a washing machine in the apartment
