Perfect mid-century beach house JUST A 5-MINUTE WALK FROM THE BEACH! Across a quiet street from a beautiful park & duck pond. Sunny, open, bright home! Quiet neighborhood but a short walk to excellent restaurants and a grocery. You'll have the entire house to yourselves -- 4 bedrooms with closets, 2 full baths, full kitchen, living room, extra rec room, washer/dryer, barbeque grill – even Foosball! Fully stocked with kitchen supplies & linens. Plenty of on-site parking. We even provide free snacks! Ideal for families or friends.

When you rent a vacation home you often only deal with a large property management company. They’re typically available only Monday to Friday, 9 to 5. And even if you reach them during office hours it can take days to solve an issue – usually after you’ve checked out. And you often have to check in, fill out paperwork and get keys at their office, which can be miles away.

Our names are Melany & Jon. We're experienced Superhosts and we own and manage this fully-licensed home ourselves. We’ve lived here for 30 years – California’s Central Coast is heaven on Earth to us! Your key will be waiting for you at the house in a lock-box. We live 5 minutes from the property and are available to help 24/7. You’ll have our personal cell number -- call or text ANYTIME! We’ll deal with any issue immediately. We are familiar with all the local shopping, activities, and restaurants (honestly we eat out too much). We’d LOVE to recommend places and activities to make your stay absolutely amazing!!

not only did i love my stay at this house, but so did the entire bridal party! we didn’t have to decorate much because of the existing theme of blue and boho! jon & melany were great hosts and very communicative! our only notes were updated sink faucets & shower curtains, deadbolt locks, & more pots/pans. other than that it is a perfect stay! :)

Dog & 4 adults stayed to be on the outskirts of CalPoly graduation. We slept well, showers were great, and we enjoyed the park and short 1/2 mile walk to the dune/ ATV beach. Not fancy, but quieter and less expensive than SLO

We were in the area for a family reunion which was held near the beach use. We had a wonderful stay in Oceano. The home was clean and everything we needed for a long weekend with family! Jon and Melany communicated via text and left us snacks! Great home, great hosts, great stay!

Great location! My 2 year old granddaughter had a great time at the playground across the street! Plenty of room for all family members and King size beds in each room! Hosts were very friendly and eager to help with dining and sightseeing recommendations! Check out was super easy!! Thanks to Melany and Jon!

Basic but good for the price Great location for kids -- across from nice little park Good communication from owners, helpful and regular Good size for our group - 4 bedrooms w kings Nice amenities - soap dispensers in shower, coffee, spices, sugar set on table - Dining table needs repainting (the paint wear makes it look dirty - Bedroom windows need proper shades or blinds (esp in main bedroom) - Wall hanging in main bedroom has ugly stains (but wall hanging in living room is sweet) - our children complained that bathtub didn't seem clean

Communication with owners was great. They made sure we had what we needed. My family and I had an amazing time. It was roomy, cozy, and just perfect for our needed. The park is right across the street and walking distance to beach. Short drive to Pismo and close to town. Would definitely stay here again!

We appreciated the communication from the owners. There were a few hick ups, but overall it was a good stay and as a family we are so grateful. We really enjoyed walking the beach in the morning picking up sea shells as a family and returning back to play at the park accross the street shortly after. The 3 kids (under 8) were highly entertained.

Our dog had just gone to hospital so we were late for check in. It was as exactly as they told us. It had a park across from the house. It was close to beach and markets and restaurants. It was also close to Avila beach where my daughter was getting married. Lovely place to stay. We also had to contact owners because our key was left in a Lyft car. They met us at the house and let us in. Jon an Melany were great host

Poor access for wheelchair-driveways have gravel, high transom at gate, doorway entrance, shower ,and very low sofas. Only accessible seat a chair at dining table with a cushion I brought. Photos of the property are not what is in it, e.g. thank goodness no white furniture, sofas covered but not user friendly for me. Moldy shower, dirty windows. Excellent kitchen. Thanks for you efforts.

Family members from LA and SF area met for a weekend in a very central spot. The house had just enough equipment for our group. The owners were very helpful and responsive to requests. Our kids loved the nearby park and the short walk to the diner. They also loved the foosball game. This house was a good choice for us.

Cozy house with beamed ceilings...we were very comfortable there and enjoyed the location/proximity to the beach. Happy to have 4 king beds and Jon & Melany accommodated us regarding our small dogs.

Overall it was a great stay! The kids loved the park across the street, and the host was communicating throughout our weekend to make sure we had everything we needed. Our family of 7 adults and 3 children fit comfortably. The sofas were foldable sofa beds which made extra sleeping areas. Normal wear and tear throughout the house. The kitchen had all your basic necessities; utensils, cups, plates, pots, and pans. The coffee maker worked great, and there was coffee and tea available. Downtown San Luis Obispo is only 15-20 mins. I would recommend it!

This home is super cute and the owners are absolutely AWESOME. Close to the beach, kind neighbors and we enjoyed the melodrama, just a few blocks away. It needs a few upgrades. Beds and couches need to be replaced, the kitchen can use little things like a blender, more items to cook and prepare meals with.. All and all a great experience and we appreciate the conscious efforts to maintain an affordable VRBO. We will be back!!

We were at a loss for words. I think they need to update those advertisement photos that were used. Get the pest control guy out there. Definitely do some major dusting, floor boards, windows inside and out, bathroom vents, bathroom tub, there’s just to much list. Just passing through we only stayed one night. Unfortunately we can’t give a positive review. Yes they were ready available for us if we needed them. We just didn’t even want to bother with it.

One of the showers was absolutely disgusting. You can tell they just do a quick rub, and not a thorough clean of the shower. Makes me wonder why they charge such a large cleaning fee. The rest of the house was very clean. Clean enough that you can walk around barefoot, just that one shower was dirty. Would stay here again.

My family and I recently stayed 4 days and 3 nights. You really can't beat the location. It's close to the dunes and beaches (Oceano, Grover and Pismo). We're talking as little as a 2 minute drive from the house! We bought a day pass and had a bonfire on the beach one night! There was plenty of room for our party of 8. The host, Jon, came out to the property within minutes when we had an issue with the toilet. So great to have a full kitchen, bbq and washer/dryer to use. I agree with another reviewer that a comfy couch would have been nice. We enjoyed our stay and are considering booking again for next summer.
