About this house rental
Built in 2017 at the base of the Andes, our Casa was designed by renowned Argentinian Architects 'Bormida y Yanzon’. Our property includes a 3-hectare vineyard and sits adjacent to the award-winning Alfa Crux winery. There are 3 master bedrooms en suite and a separate guest quarters with 2 bedrooms and a bath. The pool and outdoor quincho provide you with a perfect setting for swimming up to your vino and asado. Nearby there is horseback riding, white water rafting, fishing and of course plenty of wine tasting.
When you drive to our house off the main highway you can pass through the village, Eugenio Bustos, which has a small supermarket called Vea right in town along with other specialty shops for bread, vegetables, and meats.
There are many wineries with restaurants in the area. A few recommendations, Siete Fuegos at Vines of Mendoza, a small place called El Paisano which is very cool. For lunch, Bodega La Azul has outdoor seating. The winery, Salentein, is a must-visit with a great restaurant. Casa de Uco is another restaurant option.
The area is rustic and off the grid, as if you have stepped back in time in one sense, but surrounded by beautiful wineries with outstanding food options that rival Napa or the French wine country.
And nothing compares to the views of the snow-capped Andes. Some additional details:
Arriving:
Our house is located within the Alfa Crux (formerly O.Fournier) winery. You will coordinate with Edward Holloway and his hospitality staff at the Alfa Crux on the timing of your arrival so they can provide the keys and general information about the house.
We are a straight shot roughly 90 minutes south of the Mendoza Airport on route 40.
A lot of guests ask, “Should we rent a car”. It depends on your length of stay and what you plan to do. The nearest town is a 5-minute drive to get groceries or supplies. It is also fairly easy to arrange for drivers for tours of wineries and meals in the area. You can reach out to Alfa Crux for help if needed.
Directions:
Our house is situated within the Alfa Crux (O.Fournier) Winery so if you are driving, you should use the winery as your destination while using Google Maps. The address for is Calle Los Indios s/n - 5567 La Consulta - Mendoza, Argentina. Once you arrive at the O.Fournier winery gate where there will be a security guard. Just let him know you are staying at the “3 W’s” home.
It is very easy once you turn into the property. You go straight on the dirt road (it’s all dirt once you are in the winery) after leaving the security gate. You will pass 4 left turns (the winery will be on your right). As you come up to the 5th left turn, you should see the house off to the left. You take that road until it ends and then turn right and you will come up to our driveway. Don’t worry if you miss the fifth turn because the sixth left turn is the end of the road and takes you to the house as well from the other side. We are at the end of the road as they say.
Wineries: There are wineries galore in the 3 valleys of Mendoza, many of which will provide a lunch of dinner. We suggest a reservation and planning ahead. Aside from Alfa Crux/O.Fournier, the next closest is Zuccardi which recently built a beautiful winery and an amazing restaurant just 10 minutes from our house.
Links to some Bodegas we have enjoyed, however, there are new ones popping up all the time so suggest you check your favorite social media sites for ideas. http://www.zuccardiwines.com/home

Restaurants: Most of the wineries including those above have restaurants and many are truly outstanding culinary experiences. The dining experiences range from high-end white table cloth to a family’s house turned restaurant with true home cooking so there is something for everyone.
Eugenio Bustos Basics: The nearest town is 5 minutes away, which you drive-thru to get to the house called Eugenio Bustos. It is a rustic gaucho town but has the essentials, a Bank with ATM’s on the town square (corner of Arenales and Bernardo Quiroga), a large grocery store called Vea (corner San Juan Bosco and 2nd of April), a gas station right next to Vea, a pharmacy and hospital (hopefully not needed) on the southwest corner of the town square a block from the bank. There are also specialty shops like a bakery and butcher in town. You should know that Argentinians take a siesta and shops close between noon and 5 so plan to visit morning or early evening for essentials.
The house also includes nice breakfast every day and cleaning service during the morning.

This was our fourth visit to Mendoza and we were seeking more unique accommodations to host friends. The entire experience (from arrival to departure) was wonderful. The setting was breathtaking. The house was large and comfortable. And the attention devoted to our group by the hospitality manager, Matias, was exceptional…from assistance arranging vineyard tours with a private driver, to orchestrating private dinners in the villa prepared by the very talented culinary staff from the Alfa Crux winery restaurant. All in all, a truly magical way to experience Mendoza.

We were blown away by our stay at this house. It exceeded all expectations. Matias was an amazing host and helped us curate an incredible holiday. We will definitely be back!

Everything about this property was above and beyond. They arranged everything for us from day trips to wonderfully cooked meals at the house. The wine was amazing. Can’t say enough about the staff. And of course, the home itself was superb. Only stayed two nights. Definitely could’ve stayed there longer.

We (6 people) stayed at Casa Crux for 7 days in February 2024. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it to anyone.
The villa is beautiful, spacious and well appointed. We adventured or wine tasted every day and relaxed each night in the villa. We used the private chef, spa services, and Matias coordinated all villa and outside activities. The breakfast each morning was extensive and delicious with fresh fruit and cooked to order eggs. We used the private chef two nights and both were spectacular. We used the spa services (massages and facial) three times and they were great. A particular shout out to Matias. He was our everything - concierge, money changer, breakfast cook, arranger of wine appointments, chef, spa, drivers, treks, etc. He seemed to work 25 hours a day! I highly recommend staying Casa Crux - and the Alfa Crux winery has beautiful architecture, great wine and food and fun people too.

What a terrific house in the middle of Alfa Crux vineyards. You will not find a better house in the area (besides maybe their second house on the property). This was a gem! It has 4 master suites (the 4 fourth master is a separate casita steps from the main house and actually has 2 bedrooms with a bathroom…great for a family with kids…so 5 bedrooms total). The best part is waking daily to a full breakfast prepared for you! And if you choose, hire the chef to come in nightly to cook dinners for your group. It was great to be gone all day and then come home to have food prepared and all cleaning done by them too. The house is far from the city but if you are in the area for winery tastings…this was great. The house is on the vineyard which has 24hr guarded security gate too (all the vineyards had this). Matais, the house manager, was always helpful and quick to respond. Definitely use him to book a driver for winery tours (Argentina has a 0% blood alcohol limit for drivers…so get a driver! patrol have random stops set up along roads.)
Don’t hesitate, book the house! And do the Alfa Crux winery tour…it is an architecture masterpiece! Wines were not the top in the area but very cool winery! Our top wines from the region were from Catena Zapata and Salentein…highly recommend!

Everything about our stay at the Alfa Crux villa was incredible. The property itself is a 5 star accommodation - nice, spacious, stocked pantry, comfortable beds, the setting with the vineyard and Andes, and everything else; it felt like it had all the positives of both a hotel and house rental. And what really sets this place apart is Matias and his team. Matias was always very responsive, helpful, and nice - helping coordinate any logistics quickly. The breakfast prepared by Matias and his team each morning was delicious and had everything we could have wanted and more. On our last night, Matias, chef Carla, and their team prepared a delicious asado dinner and wine pairing for us at the villa which I'd highly recommend doing. This place is easily one of the best places I've ever stayed and doesn't get any better.

If you're even looking at this property you should just go ahead and book it! We have stayed in dozens of high end rental properties all over the world and this one is on another level. The property itself is without question 5 star accommodations. What takes it to another level is the service that comes with your stay. Matias (property manager) is the man. His goal is to make sure that you have a fantastic stay and he will deliver. The breakfast provided in the mornings is a wonderful way to start the day. I would also recommend taking advantage of the chef prepared meals at the house in the evenings. Alfa crux is arguably the most beautiful winery in the area. The location is perfect for exploring all there is to do in this part of Argentina (wineries, horseback riding, rock climbing, white water rafting, fly fishing). We stayed during the second week of October and the weather was perfect. Our family is from Mendoza and was very impressed with this property, the service, and our stay. You won't find anything better in the area. I can't say enough good things!

Our group had an absolutely amazing stay in Mendoza at this property. Matias was the best host and helped us plan everything including transportation, wine tours, meals, and even massages. A huge amazing breakfast spread was included each morning, as was daily housekeeping. I can't say enough amazing things about this property. We hope to be able to stay here again in the future!

Our experience with the Alfa Crux house was impeccable from the start. Matias was attentive and thorough in helping us plan the perfect stay for our mastermind event.
We were greeted promptly at the airport by the driver he arranged. Matias was at the house when we arrived to help us get settled and provided exceptional wine and snacks. The home was very comfortable for our party of six women, and we felt safe and cared for the entire stay.
Everything we experienced was impeccable and we recommend it all:
• The 6 course meal with wine pairing prepared by the chef at the house
• In room massages offered by 2 masseuses
• stocked pantry with our favorite things!
• Incredible breakfast every morning
• The private wine tour at the Bodega! What an incredible experience!
• The all day photo shoot with professional makeup done onsite for our individual business needs and to capture our mastermind activities
Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!
The service and hospitality was above and beyond. We cannot thank Matias enough for all of his hard work, including sacrificing himself to protect us from the wasp nest!
6 star review– we will be back as a group and individually!
The house was exactly what we expected and more - the view of the Andes from the dining table every morning was spectacular.
The house is well stocked with anything you might need and if it doesn’t have it, Matias will find it!
This place is the epitome of high end luxury.

I wish there were more stars available to be able to rate this property and experience. The house is a dream, comfortable and gorgeous. Matías, the house manager, is a master of logistics, with kindness. He arranged for everything, from horseback rides to winery and restaurant reservations to asados and meals prepared by the excellent chef Carla. And he made a fabulous breakfast. We had a particular need and the Alfa Crux winery, represented by Nayla, couldn’t have been any more nice and generous.

The property is absolutely breathtaking with complete seclusion and incredible views. It was made even better by Matthew who went above an beyond any host we've ever had scheduling wine, tours, horseback riding, and dinners sometimes with less than 30 minute notice. He even cooked us breakfast daily and arranged a chef to come for dinner one night! I'd highly recommend staying here and at Alfa Crux!

We had an incredible stay at the house, not only is it gorgeous but the concierge Matias was insanely helpful even before we got to Mendoza, helping us book wine tastings, lunches, horseback riding trip and making our trip so seamless and perfect. He was the true gem. The house is super clean amazing, private with stunning views. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys nature, great wine and food!

FABULOUS PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE VERY HEART OF WINE COUNTRY. THE PROBLEM IS, YOU WONT WANT TO LEAVE. SUPER HOST WITH VERY RESPONSIVE ATTITUDE

The home was great. I would recommend renting a car, because it is pretty distant from everything, and the private transportation got pretty expensive.
The downfall was that the pool was not usable.

This is an excellent property and we highly recommend. The owners are very communicative and their property manager, Giuliana, is beyond helpful. Giuliana met us at the villa and provided wonderful insight into the surrounding areas. The villa is comfortable, well maintained and the location is stunning. It is terrific and we will definitely return. Thank you again, especially Giuliana, for making our stay so enjoyable!

We had a fabulous time staying at this villa! The pictures can hardly do justice to the beauty of the property. Best of all was how helpful and accommodating Giuliana and everyone was during our stay. We are most grateful. Would highly recommend and truly hope to be back!

We were a party of 4 couples who stayed at the villa for 4 nights in April. The villa is very beautifully designed to maximize your views of the mountains and vineyards. We enjoyed cooking evening meals in the kitchen, relaxing by the pool, and walking on the property in the mornings. Giuliana arranged our driver(Daniel, who was safe, punctual and overall excellent) for 4 days, as well as wine tours, lunches, a walking tour into the foothills of the Andes(Paula was a very knowledgeable and capable guide), a fabulous asado dinner cooked at the villa and a lovely dinner at The Vines Resort. We were completely impressed by the operation at the O.Fournier Winery and Giuliana was a pleasure to work with. Our entire stay was a truly peaceful and special experience. I highly recommend it!

Six of us stayed here celebrating a birthday. The owners were great to work with and very responsive to our questions. The house was perfect for us, including it's size, design and it's ideal setting. The location offers easy access to explore other wineries in the area. Giuliana (the house manager) is tremendous and took great care of us. Thanks for a memorable stay. We cannot wait to return.

Friends and I stayed here as part of a destination trip for a 40th birthday. The owners were a pleasure to work with, and the house manager/concierge was extremely responsive and made the stay effortless in terms of reservations for dinners/wine tastings, and general assistance. The house is beautiful, has fantastic views, and is wonderfully secluded.
