It was clean and nice and felt easy to get acclimated. Everything in the house was easy to figure out. Loved the big porch and deck. Walking distance to the beach and Nana's ice cream was wonderful. Also walking distance to the library which was fun for my 4 year old. There were plenty of different beaches and other activities to do in the area that were all an easy drive from the house. Definitely would recommend!

Pros: Owner communication is quick, location is amazing (easy walk to beach & marketplace), loved the screened in porch and large kitchen area.
Cons: to be critical, the downstairs bedroom had a small open slit below the a/c window unit; at night if my older daughter kept the light on (texting) and it attracted flies; we moved her to the other upstairs bedroom and kept the light off in that room which took care of that minor fly problem. Otherwise, our stay was awesome.

We had a great time! We walked to the town beach every day. The two beach badges were great. The weather was not perfect but it didn’t stop us. We did drive to Cliff Walk one day, but Newport is a little too crowded and overpriced for us. For dinner we walked 2 blocks to “The Kitchen” on the main floor of a small bed and breakfast, which we loved. We also took surf lessons and played tennis at the local school which was a 2 minute drive away. The house was comfortable and clean and the host was great. Loved the screened in porch and the outdoor shower. We’ll definitely come back next summer. Thank you!

Everything was great. We loved our stay in Narragansett and will be back. The house was clean and well maintained. We liked that we could walk to the beach and the Pier. Oliver was always quick to answer any questions we might have. We loved sitting on the deck and enjoying the night. We give this stay 5 stars.

Oliver is an amazing host - very communicative and attentive. The check-in process was smooth, and he clearly communicated with the house had available (and did not have available) so we could pack accordingly.
The location of the house cannot be beat - 5 min walk to the beach, restaurants, towers, etc.

This property had great owners who made sure you had what you needed for a great visit.
Best things: plenty of beds, beach passes, updated kitchen, washer/dryer, lots of room to hang out and relax in a screened in patio or outside around a fire pit, plenty of hot water.
This is a place to stay when you will be outside!
Things to know: small TV and living room, but not important if you are out all day. Bring your bikes if you are driving in. It is not close enough to walk with kids to the beach and the wagon provided had a wobble that we didn't trust. There are a few beach chairs that are not in the best shape but worked since we came from out of state.
We had to drag sheets from out of state which was awkward but they were willing to help out. We had already left when I saw the message so be sure to ask if you have any concerns.
It was a perfect introduction to Rhode Island beaches for our kids. Town beach is clean and a great atmosphere. We will definitely spend more time at this beach on future visits!

Our family adored staying at Oliver’s rental. There are lots of spaces to enjoy, including a large backyard where we could play. We were a short walk to both the beach and a playground! Oliver generously includes town beach passes with the rental. We were able to use the beach wagon and chairs from the house which gave us more space in our vehicle. Oliver is an excellent communicator who responded quickly to any questions we had. This allowed for a very simple check in/out process. Overall, we were extremely pleased and are looking forward to a return stay. Thank you Oliver!

This is a classic Narragansett beach house tucked back from the street and surrounded by other beach houses. Big yard shared with house next door. The kitchen and bathrooms have been updated relative to your average beach house. AC works though you don't really need it at night near the ocean. Screened in porch was a big win. We walked to the beach and to dinners. Oliver was incredibly helpful throughout the check-in and check-out process.

My partner and our three kids stayed here for a week in July and had an incredible vacation! This house is a short walk to the beach, and although on a busier street, is tucked away and quiet. The yard was great for soccer, football, sports, etc and we loved hanging on the large and comfy screened in porch. The open kitchen set up was perfect and had everything we needed to cook and dine together. (Although we spent many meals outside on the deck.) Be aware that the living room is on the small side, although we managed to watch movies at night with two adults and two teens just fine. (And one of the teens is a 6 foot football player.) With so much to do, we really only watched tv at night anyway. The a/c units kept the house cooled down and the beds were comfy! The outside shower stayed hot for all of us to use it after our trips to the beach. The waves were GREAT and my teens loved going back after dinner for some super wave action! The sand is some of the softest we have felt! Nana's ice cream was heaven and we also enjoyed an eclectic menu at Crazy Burger. There is a lot to do in the area and so much is accessible. It was our first RI vacation and we are definitely going back next year! The owner was super accommodating and communication was top notch.

The house was exactly as described. Prior to check in Oliver sent me a message keeping me informed of the potential for an early check in. He offered to let me park there even if the cleaning crew was not gone so we could explore the town. Luckily it was ready as we arrived and it was everything as described. I had a few questions and Oliver responded very quickly and was friendly and helpful.
The pictures are extremely accurate of the property so you get what you see. The main highlight is the proximity to town, the two bigger restaurants, and the beach. It's a very walkable distance as described.
The house is the 2nd house on 1 lot. The neighbors that we were sharing the property with were fine and didn't get in the way so don't let that deter you at all.
If you're vacationing Narragansett then this place is ideal for a group of up to 6 people.

We rented this house so that we could attend a wedding in Narragansett. It was the perfect location (5 mins from the wedding AND beach!) and just right for our needs. If we had a longer trip in mind, we'd probably opt for a larger house. The bedrooms are tiny and there's not much indoor living space to relax in; felt especially tight with two kids. But the screened-in porch and backyard were delightful and made up for the somewhat tight quarters inside. Oliver, the owner, was an exceptional host, providing helpful directions and accommodating us with beach passes and extra hours on our last day!

This was the second year in a row that we've stayed here. We have two young boys, 2 and 6, and they love it just as much as we do. Oliver is very responsive and helpful. The cottage is a short 15 minute walk to the beach -- even with hauling all the beach things, plus a stroller, etc. There are boogie boards, beach chairs, and a beach wagon at the cottage as well, which is great. We'll be staying here every time we come to Narragansett.

You can easily rent boogie boards on the beach. The owner was very responsive about a small issue with the beach wagon and couldn't have made it easier to check in and out. We'd happily stay again! For parents of young children: we were able to block off the stairs with an armchair in the living room, and to block off the slight step between the kitchen and dining area with a bench in the unit. A few pieces of duct tape closed off outlets and kept a lower cabinet with cleaning materials shut, so child-proofing was pretty simple. Our youngest loved the screened porch and we loved having an 'outdoors' place that we knew was safe for him!

We were lucky enough to find this cottage available last-minute when other travel plans fell through due to Covid-related restrictions. The owner was great to work with...great communication and super helpful. The cottage was beautiful, spacious, and sparkling clean. Plenty of space for our group of 4 (2 adults and 2 12-year-olds) with well-equipped kitchen. Loved the laundry room, screened-in porch, deck for eating outside. Short, easy walk to beautiful Narragansett town beach as well as nearby coffee shop, restaurants...went days without needing/using our car. Having beach passes included for our party also a big plus! Absolutely loved everything about this cottage and would definitely rent again!

My friends and I were looking for a long weekend away from the hustle and bustle of life-walking distance to the beach, stores, etc. and Oliver and Kathleen's beautiful home DID NOT disappoint! We had a nice, relaxing time walking to the beach then coming home and spending the evening on the comfortable, screened in porch or by the fire pit. The outdoor shower was a major plus! This home was way more than I expected and we are hoping to return again next summer!

Our stay went very smoothly. The house is set up well for a young family. We especially loved the outdoor shower and screened in porch. (The neighbors had loud parties but they ended at a reasonable time.) Narragansett is one of our favorite destinations and being able to walk to the town beach and local favorite spots was ideal. Although the house is on a main road, it is set back and we were not afraid to have our little ones outside exploring and playing in the yard. Our youngest child struggled with the stairs a bit due to their steepness (to the second floor bedrooms) but by the end of the trip, was a pro. We had the perfect amount of communication with the owners and it was a wonderful bonus to use the beach passes. Overall, this was an easy stay and we enjoyed the conveniences it allowed.

This cottage is located in a great location which is a short walking distance to the ocean, seawall, shops, and park. We are a family of 7, and it worked out perfectly for us. The screenroom attached allowed for added space, and makes an enjoyable area for overseeing the yard while enjoying the fresh air, without worrying about mosquito's. Our grandson was able to play in the side yard, while the adults enjoyed playing cornhole. The beds were very comfortable and it was a plus to be able to use the beach buggy and beachchairs in the shed. It was so nice to walk just a couple blocks to the ocean and the park, which is well equipped. There was no need to use the car, except when we made a trip to Block Island ferry and other parts of Narragansett. Oliver was very kind, and easily accessible and responsive. The pin code on the front door lock was also a convenience, especially with so many of us coming and going. Prior to renting, we looked at other cottages, but they are quite a walk to the beach, so beware when they say "closeby"....this cottage really is close to the beach! We'll be back!
