Great old property

We had a great time here. Right across from the beach even though it was too cold and rainy to swim it was still nice for a walk. Beds were warm and comfortable and the shower was instantly warm and had great pressure. Towels were nice too. Kitchen was well stocked to cook or just have a coffee. The enclosed backyard was great for the kids and the dog to explore. My only complaint is a broom in the house would have been nice so we could sweep at the end of each day as being near the beach we felt like we were walking on sand all the time. But a minor complaint considering everything else was great.

This is our second time at Bay Shack. The accommodation is simple but has all the amenities we need and is clean. The access to the beach is on point and we love sitting out the front in the afternoon. This is our perfect getaway, we love it. Our dogs love going to the beach everyday. Communication with the host is excellent. Thankyou for having us all again 😊

Great little cottage with the perfect location for beach lovers and close to Dunsborough shopping centre and cafes. Quiet location, very comfy beds and an extremely well supplied kitchen. Coffee pod Gift and personalised welcome note upon arrival was a nice touch. Was surprised with the full sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner too. Towels etc as per other reviews all supplied. No issues with wifi either. Yes a little tired, needs a bit of maintenance but that can be overlooked with everything else this place has going for it. Super safe enclosed backyard for dogs although they only allow one and 3 resident bunnies for the cute factor. Great stay !

This was the perfect venue for a family getaway Down South. My dad was visiting from the US and it gave us a well located home base for showing off WA's Southwest. The house was well appointed and had everything we needed. The entire group thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the proximity to the beach was amazing!

Great love cation and just a very short walk to the beach
A great house for a family stay. Yes the house is old but well maintained and clean. A headed area for the kids to play on and a large back yard for a little bit of adventure. There is even a resident Monitor lizard who is helping keep the insects etc at bay

Such a great stay for our family and dogs. Right across from the dog beach and a couple of minutes drive to town.
Dogs loved the big backyard

Comfortable, revamped fisherman’s shack
Great location, very peaceful and comfortable. A little overpriced considering style and age of property, and lack of WiFi. Not very impressed with sharing with rodents and droppings in kitchen cupboards.

Beach Shack
Awesome location, property was exactly as advertised and would recommend to anyone with pets who likes the beach.

Location of this property was amazing, across the road to the beach, and bike and walking trails. Our dog loved the beach. We also did some fishing on the beach in the evening and caught a few. The house was cozy and cute. The beds were super comfy. We used the bbq a lot and it was nice to sit out on the alfresco. Definitely need mozzie spray though! Easy to get into Dunsborough and the wineries and breweries. The only let down was the shower. The house is an old cottage we understand that but the shower wasn’t great. Could really do with updating. Old and tired looking. All up though we would definitely recommend. Ideal for dogs and easy access to the beach.

The simple life
The Bay Shack's location directly across the road from the beach was perfect for us and our two border collies. The property has a large, secure back yard for the dogs to sniff around and explore, and the property had everything you needed inside for a weekend away.

Perfect Beach Getaway
Thank you for having us. The house was absolutely perfect for our needs for a weekend getaway from Perth. It is directly across the road from the beach down a short path. It was well equipped and had everything we could have needed for our stay, including linen, towels and cooking supplies. With limited restaurants open and some very wild weather we really enjoyed staying in and cooking and enjoying local wines. The photos provided are spot on, the property was clean. Kitchen and bathroom were not new but well maintained. We did lose power on Sunday evening on account of the storm but that could not be helped. Would gladly stay again.
