I loved every minute of my stay, also the morning blessing with my private house altar.

The private villa, was beautiful and clean. I loved my bed with mosquito net. There was a fridge, desk, nice open shower, big terras and refreshing pool. The breakfast had many options with fresh juice and tea or coffe, the afternoon tea was also complimentary. I almost had the pool for myself and everything was very clean and friendly staff. There is a international supermarket across the street and 24/7 warong next to it. I definitely will come back.

When there is a neighbour in the villa's you have less privacy, because the balconies face each other.

Perfect location, within walking distance of restaurants, museums, and attractions but also felt calm and quiet and out of the busyness! Also the cabins were beautiful and the beds comfy.

We had a gecko wake us up the first night and we had no idea what it was so we’re freaked out but as soon as we worked it out it was all good (and they are lucky!) - wear the earplugs provided!

I highly recommend this hotel and thank the staff for making our holiday special.

Before the trip, I extensively researched hotels and their reviews, fearing a gap between expectation and reality. However, this hotel exceeded my expectations and won my heart! - Excellent service: The staff was incredibly friendly and polite. - Cleanliness is impeccable with daily cleaning, towel changes, and an evening bed service. Additionally, they go the extra mile by adjusting the evening lighting in the room and turning on mosquito repellent. - Convenient location: Centrally located in Ubud, near a supermarket and restaurants, yet away from the road. Easy access for walking or calling a taxi. - Daily evening tea with dessert. - Two clean swimming pools with comfortable water. - Good water pressure and consistently hot water in the shower. - The room is equipped with everything you need (air conditioning, hairdryer, refrigerator, kettle, tea, bathroom amenities, earplugs, etc.). - A large water cooler in the room - it’s so convenient that it’s hard not to appreciate it! - No insects or unpleasant odors. We stayed in Superior Double Room number 4 on the second floor for 12 nights. This building has only four rooms closer to the road (two rooms on the first floor and two on the second), opposite its own swimming pool. A little further from the road, there are four separate villas and a second swimming pool. During our stay, the entire building was empty, and we enjoyed the silence and beautiful views from the second floor.

Absolutely nothing in the hotel. The only downside is that there may be slight noise from the neighboring hotel; there is live music on weekend evenings, but only until 23:00. The road noise was not strong and did not bother us in any way.

Will recommend it to my friends

Overall it’s worth staying for leisure. The location is great and I love the greenery in the hotel. The swimming pool is 24 hours but off light at night. The staff is always nice and ready to respond to our requests. You can ask for laundry (wash and dry) with cheap price.

The door to the washroom cannot be fully closed and unavoidably bugs fly into the bedroom. But it is not a big deal because gecko can help eat them, and the hotel prepare anti-mosquito spray in the bedroom. If you are afraid of geckos, then better book the modern type of room.

The value for money ! This place is so lovely, people are really nice, attention is payed to every details, outdoor is really thorough… I also appreciate this place is traditional. For the price, Ari Cottage really deserve you stay there.

Coup de coeur de Ubud

Très bien situé, au coeur de centre des activités. Personnel impeccable, serviable et souriant. Equipement de la chambre top (eau à volonté, frigo, armoire, etc.) Très beau lieu de vie. Cadre calme et agréable en plein d'un quartier animé de Ubud. Eau chaude ! (c'est rare) Très bons petits déjeuner.

What a lovely place at a great location. The staff is extremely helpful and kind, they easily arranged a scooter we could rent and provided laundry service. Very clean rooms including a seat on the balcony.

Fantastisch verblijf in sfeervolle bungalow en behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel

Heel gezellige en leuke bungalow, goed bed, fijne douche en een heerlijk zwembad. Fantastisch personeel en een heel uitgebreid informatieboek over de omgeving . Als je het leuk vindt: net niet in het centrum van Ubud (dus ook fijne restaurants in de buurt buiten de drukte om).

Als je op de veranda zit, zit je wel tegen je buren aan te kijken

Knus, traditioneel Balinees, zeer prettige service, goede locatie. Ik raad deze locatie zeker aan.

Mooie traditionele Balinese accommodatie van buiten en van binnen, leuk met buitendouche, schoon bed met klamboe (hemelbed), goede airo. De WIFI was echt fantastisch, kon zonder problemen via whatsapp bellen. Er zit een veranda bij. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ik was een avond laat thuis (na 12 uur) en toen hadden ze mijn bed alvast klaar gemaakt, klamboe uitgehangen, lampje en airco aan. 24 uurs receptie, als je thuis kwam of weg ging erg geïnteresseerd. Heb zelfs een keer om 3 uur 's nachts nog ontbijt aangevraagd. Ontbijt is niet uitgebreid, maar precies voldoende en smaakt goed. Verse sapjes of fruit. Eitjes zoals je wilt (ik raad de scrambled eggs aan). Kortom erg tevreden. Fijne locatie, gelegen naast arma museum, is een bezoek waard (in avond traditionele dans/theater, goed restaurant). Op loopafstand van centrum (10-15 minuten).

Ik zou wel oordopjes gebruiken (die liggen trouwens al klaar) in verband met lawaai soms. De badkamer buiten is niet super schoon, maar goed genoeg (kamer wel schoon). Chipjes waren over de datum. Maar mijn verblijf was super, zit nu op andere locatie en al spijt dat ik daar weg ben.

Super enjoyable!

It was a wonderful stay at Ari Cottages! Despite being on one of the busier streets in Ubud, it was quiet in the cottages, with the pool area shared only between a few guests (we often had it to ourselves!). The staff was extremely kind, welcoming, and responsive to questions. The breakfast included in our booking price was delicious, and they even made us a small to-go breakfast the day we checked out (boiled eggs, banana, toast, and water). The AC worked well, there was a comfortable bed and a fun outdoor bathroom space. It is located within walking distance of several great restaurants and bars, but it is on a busy street, so if you are traveling by car it can get slow. We rented a motorbike to help get around the traffic, and it worked well. Overall it was a great stay!

Only downside was on Saturday night we could hear some of the nightlife (karaoke/band playing) for a few hours. We slept with a sound machine on our phones/ear plugs (provided by hotel) and it was manageable. If you are a light sleeper something to consider if you are staying on the weekend.

Nice, spacious and well equipped rooms in bungalows. Nice swimming pool. Very good breakfast and even biscuits and tea at 4 PM when you are present at that time. Beautiful museum and hotel garden next door, don't forget to stop by.

There is a rooftop bar about 500 m away, and it is noisy until 23:00 on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There were also construction works next at the front building during the day, not annoying in the evening, but could be during the day depending on the type of work.

A great place to stay if you want to be within walking distance of central Ubud.

Location is good for being able to walk to shops, cafes, restaurants etc. The welcome by the staff after our long drive from Gilimanuk was just what was required, with cool towels and a welcome drink. The rooms are large and well-appointed and the service is very good. We had breakfast served on the balcony the first morning. The massage I had arranged by the hotel was to be recommended! (Yulia).

The bathrooms are not well ventilated so there is a persistent smell of damp and the tiles don't dry off at all. The cottages in the inner compound are probably a little bit further away from the incessant traffic noise of Ubud than the rooms in the first part of the hotel.

Would have stayed longer

- the pool was great and clean , fun to swim in. - I loved the morning breakfast on the balcony. - the staff was nice . - location was great to go walk in the Action on Ubud. - AC and mini fridge was working well.

- the Towels and mosquito net was a little bit smelly. but it's my only "negative" element about the time being there. So its not bad at all. We had a great time being there and would come again.

Worth it

Location is very good , close to yoga barn ,5 min max with motorbike , u can walke but there is no sidewalks with the bike is around 12000 rupees. U have supermarket in front , emergency next to it and few restaurants down the road. U can rent motorbike from them. Staff nice and helpful. Breakfast good and I would say very good service and price with that price.

I had problems with my door was sliding out, not a big issue but was annoyed for 9 days every time I open the door comes out and I have to slide it back 🙃 doesn't help if u are in a rush 😒

a small and hidden cottage in Ubud which is very quiet and comfortable, the room is always clean, because it is cleaned twice every day, as well as the staff is very friendly and attentive, especially putra he always meets our needs during our stay, starting from laundry, breakfast, the breakfast is also very good, and there are many choices, I will come back again to stay when on vacation next year
