Great Lake District Pub type hotel
Clean rooms, friendly staff with a sense of humour.
Only thing is the front of the hotel is by the road, so you can expect a bit of road noise.

Great traditional very welcoming hotel
The Staff were very welcoming throughout my stay. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable. I had an evening meal within the Bar area and the food was really good at reasonable prices. Breakfast is ordered to your liking and cooked fresh on demand.
I only stayed the 1 night and could not find anything that I did not like.

Very disappointing. Over priced for the whole experience
Breakfast was very basic. Also the one meal we had in the hotel.
Mostly the breakfast and the bar area was not comfortable. At breakfast instant coffee was there to be made by the guest. Not good.

Great hotel in a lovely spot.
Great hotel with a lovely garden. Have stayed here twice now and would certainly stay again. Staff great. Good breakfast. Parking alongside the hotel.

Lovely stay, easy to park
Nice and quiet, liked that the bar/restaurant was separated by a glass door, this kept noise downstairs and the bedrooms quiet. Fab beer garden, lots of places to sit. Hotel doesn’t open till 3 but booking.com says 2pm, may need to update this, but they were nice enough to let us in early.
Room was nice and homely but very muggy, we had the window open all the time, could do with air con or at least a fan in the room.
