We spent a few days in this lovely house and enjoyed the beautiful countryside around. Everything was as expected or even beyond our expectations and the owner was very friendly and helpful.

What a gem The Laurels is. We enjoyed a long weekend at the cottage and had everything we needed. Lovely welcome package to arrive to after a long drive and lots of information about what to visit in the area.
Beds were very comfortable and everywhere was spotlessly clean.
Would definitely visit again.
Five stars!

The hyggelig cottage with a lot of cushions and cosiness was a nice place to stay. The kitchen was very well equiped, the warm water in the shower was instant and enough for 4 people and the beds were very cosy and we could sleep very well...the only thing was the missing wifi, were we would have liked a remark in the description, that there is no wifi/internet...we read our newspapers over the internet and for planning trips etc it would have been important and for us essential...we actually wouldn t have booked if we knew there was no internet.....the signal for mobile internet was sadly too weak for research etc, so that we had a bit of a problem there....
Otherwise a very great place to stay...thank you very much...

Lovely terraced cottage tastefully decorated. Local pub has now closed so you need to drive. Local village shop is very handy just across the road. Around 10 min drive to St Agnes which is a really nice spot. Did miss not having Wi-Fi and the on street parking for more than one car is tricky.

Nice and very clean place to stay. Short distance to local small shop. Nice beaches nearby, easy to reach by car.

The Laurels was the perfect base for our week at half term. Set in a quiet street, with outdoor space both at the front and back of the property, we really enjoyed our stay. The cottage has literally everything you could need, and is very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped, and everything has been very well considered for a holiday home from home.

The property was clean and well equipped. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay to visit Cornwall.

Great location for exploring north Cornwall. Charming cottage. Warm, very clean and well kept. Very well equipped for self catering cooking. Close to a fantastic dog friendly beach. Good walking straight from the doorstep. Friendly local community and excellent pubs nearby for eating out.

Lovely Easter weekend spent at The Laurels.
The cottage is in a great location and very warm and cosy.
Even though the weather wasnt freezing we couldnt resist lighting the fire after a day out exploring Cornwall.
Very clean and has everything that you need.
Lovely little welcome basket with some Easter treats went down well.
Will definitely stop here again.

This cottage has just about everything one could possibly want in a holiday cottage. The owners have thought very carefully about what should be available on the premises and we arrived with quite a few items that we thought we might need but all were already there! Absolutely delightful little house which was warm and very comfortable with several separate downstairs areas that allowed privacy if you want this. We hosted a family Christmas lunch for six adults (though only three staying) and it was just brilliant. If we need accommodation close to Perranporth again then this will definitely be our choice.

The cottage was very clean and pretty. The local shop was literally fours doors down. We managed to explore one of the nearby beaches Holywell, headed to Newquay Beach and town and dined in Truro. The children, us and our dog all enjoyed our stay. Thanks

Summer at The Laurels
Cottage a good combination of old fashioned and modern. Wonderful enclosed garden. Sunny porch. Back yard disappointingly drab. We did miss the internet: this is 2022!

Lovely little cottage , handy for Porthtowan and Aggie. Be prepared to drive to eat or just use the great local cabs. OK so no WiFi or village pub but we had a great 5 days despite the weather. I'm grateful for a view of the North Cornish Coast and a clean cottage - nicely done all involved as a hassle free experience from booking to end of hols - thanks x

We have a lovely time, the whole experience was wonderful.
Only thing when we arrived, we struggled to open the outer door 😅 it was raining bad, so that didn’t help.
Highly recommend definitely x

Homely cottage in a great location
What a delight it was to stay at The Laurels for a fortnight. Mount Hawke is a lovely village with two shops within walking distance but there’s no pub. It’s a really homely cottage which has a lovely contrast between the light kitchen & dining area & the cosy snug which was lovely for the cooler evenings. The rear garden catches the late afternoon sun & is very sheltered, perfect to relax in after a day out. We like cosy evenings in & the cottage is well equipped to cook meals from scratch. We loved being able to walk from the front door through the woods & down to Porthtowan beach for coffee & cake at the cafe. There is a great surfing school too which we highly recommend & amazing fish & chips from Seasmiths.
WiFi would have been welcomed because the signal in the village is weak & during COVID times places like Seasmiths are click & collect only.
A lovely stay, would definitely return.

Lovely cottage!
Great location and lovely cottage. It had everything you could need and we all had a great stay. Garden and bbq were great and we had to light the log burner even though we got a bit warm. Communication from owner was first class with lots of info on the local area. Would recommend and would stay again. Thanks so much.

Wonderful experience
A cosy cottage with lots of character. The cottage was clean and Michelle was very accommodating to all our needs. The village is quiet with a lovely shop over the road and provided easy access to many lovely days out. Will definitely be back!

Cozy and relaxing
Really lovely short break. Used as a base to explore the villages and beaches. Very well equipped, beautifully clean and comfy.
Only downside was no WiFi. With teenagers and very poor signal in the cottage, WiFi would have been appreciated, even if we had to have paid for it. Other than that, perfect!

We had a really comfortable stay here. It’s a great location (especially with children). There’s a nearby park and two local shops. The cottage was great- beautifully presented with new and clean facilities - great fridge, freezer, dryer and shower. Lots of hot water! Thank you

This is a lovely light-filled 2 storey house right next to a little shop, we found this so handy. There are 2 enclosed gardens, very handy for our dog and drying washing. The bathroom is downstairs which feels a bit strange but we got used to it. Well equipped kitchen with washer and dryer and plenty of storage space everywhere. We always ate at the table but the breakfast bar would be nice for a couple, and unfortunately we never got round to using the firepit. The sofas could do with replacing and we really did miss the WiFi as the signal was terrible (we have EE and Giffgaff) finding it difficult to plan day trips or finding places to eat, I think this should be considered.
All round though a great place to stay. I'd say locally St Agnes and Porth Towan (sunset) are worth a visit, particularly in the evening, and surf school at Gwithian.
