This spot has beautiful lake views with gorgeous sunsets. The accommodations are great. Included in this homey, comfortable cottage were things from linens to kayaks. And the host is wonderful: ready, willing and able to answer questions/concerns. It is not far from Acadia and other places to enjoy what Maine has to offer.

This is a sweet cozy little cabin in the woods. Has modern conveniences but still holds its rustic charm. Karen tries to think of everything you will need at the camp. The bed downstairs is one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. The lake in the backyard is just amazing. Love the sandy swimming area. The sunsets in the backyard next to the fire pit was breathtaking. We will be back for sure.

A little gem on Toddy Pond in Orland, this rustic camp, with modern updates, fit the bill for a week of Ahhhhhh! Needs some more camp "stuff" to really put it at the top, but we had a blast playing cribbage and listening to the loons. Centrally located, a short trip to Bar Harbor, Schoodic Point, and the Bucksport area. Host was excellent with any questions we had. Sunsets were stunning!

This sweet cottage on the edge of Toddy Pond was the ideal property for my family to enjoy the beauty of the pond complete with dock and kayaking and lovely views from a cute and very clean and well stocked cottage. I greatly appreciated the great views of the pond with awesome sightings and hearings of Common Loons! I also loved the bedrooms and kitchen, W&D, and back deck. The fire pit was a great way to end our days after exploring nearby Acadia and other local sights. The property owner was friendly and responsive. I highly recommend this listing and didn't want to leave!

We (parents, 4 year old, grandmother) loved our stay at Karen's camp. It was exactly what we were looking for - great swimming, kayaks available for use, and plenty of indoor space for a couple of rainy days. We especially appreciated the ACs in all the bedrooms for the hotter days. The camp had everything we needed for a Maine vacation.

Loved the location as it is in reasonable driving distance to many sights in that area of Maine. The lake is beautiful and was quiet in the fall. The cottage was neat, clean and comfortable. The host was very accommodating, willing to help in any way to make our stay enjoyable which it was!

Stay here was so peaceful! We liked being in Orland because it was pretty central to everything we wanted to do.
WiFi was great and we brought our laptop to watch movies. There are three individual bedrooms and a futon so it would be great for families.
We really enjoyed the little beach (little rocks- bring swim shoes), the dock and firepit. We did not go kayaking but loved that they were there.
Thank you for a peaceful week!

This was a wonderful place for us to stay, one of the very best places we have rented on Toddy Pond over 30 years of visits. A very good 3 bedroom House, very close to the water with great views anytime of the day. A good large family room and kitchen, nice deck, fire pit, easy access to swim - and a very fun large inflatable float for many! Karen and Ben were great to communicate with both before and during our stay - we certainly hope to rent it again!!

Absolutely perfect lake house
Rented for a week exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia with my wife and 2 kids, 18 and 20. Aside from perfect weather and an unending list of places to hike, explore, and eat throughout the week, this rental.was outstanding and even more beautiful than the pictures suggest.
The location is quiet, private and immersed in the serenity of the natual.area. The owners left it generously stocked with the essential Maine amenities like coffee, kindling, linens, and kayaks. The bedrooms were extremely clean with comfortable sheets. The kitchen was very well stocked (even with a lobster pot!) and best of all, there are amazing views of the lake from every room. My whole family had an amazing unforgettable week and choosing this rental was a large factor in such a wonderful week. I have rented several vacation homes from realtors ovee the years bjt the service from these owners was superior and the house was perfect for a family of four. Much appreciated!!

A Great Week!
We are a three generational group traveling to Maine for many years together. This cottage was clean, well appointed, and close to amenities and sites to see. If there is one thing we might request, it would be that the dock situation be more stable. It was great if you were steady on your feet, but difficult to enjoy if not. Overall we had a wonderful time.

Great stay in Maine
I thoroughly enjoyed my week at this property. The house was clean, clean, clean! It’s obvious the owners take exceptional care and pride. Even the gravel by the beach was raked! We used this as a base to explore Acadia and that worked out great. It’s about 40-50 minutes easy drive and was a VERY relaxing spot to return to after hiking. I would definitely come again.

Grows on you
Went from underwhelming first impression to spending most of our vacation days at the camp. It really grows on you. Newly added WIFI corrects lack of cable TV. We kayaked and swimming is good in deep water just past boulders. Fire pit is well stocked with wood and lakeside was mostly quiet and peaceful. Kitchen has all the basics and we enjoyed cooking with gas. Beds are comfortable and single bathroom sufficed for two teenage girls plus parents. Location is perfect with take-out within 15 minutes and less than an hour to tourist sites. Lakeside could use an updated extended dock, but our family really enjoyed our stay here and we'd book again.

First family vacation with 2 kids under the age of 4!
This was our first family vacation with our kiddos (3.5 & 2) so we weren't really sure what to expect. Thanks to our host, it was a great and relaxing vacation. Karen provided us with a crib, toddler bed, baby gate, high chairs, monitors, toddler size life jackets, books and toys (indoor and outdoor). This made our stay easy and enjoyable. I also really appreciated that laundry was on site.
Toddy Pond is very rocky, but here there is easy access to the water. The kids could walk right in, however still bring water shoes.
We loved the fire pit. We roasted marshmallows and hotdogs. Every night after the kids went to bed, my husband and I would sit down by the fire.
Bedding was clean and beds were comfortable. The Air Conditioning and fans were great too.
Other than acouple of cobwebs in the corners the cottage was very clean, especially the bathroom and kitchen.
We had some cool nights where I wish we could have opened the windows, but there weren't any screens. But we really were quite comfortable.
All in all this was a great first family vacation for us. Especially our hike up Blue Hill Mountain!
Thank you Karen for opening your home to our family.

Peaceful camp
What a great lake camp! The lake was so clean and the location was perfect for fishing, swimming, sunsets & bonfires! Kayaks were great and we rented a canoe from The Activity Shop... which delivers. Friendly, helpful neighbors and the hosts were quick to respond to any questions or issues. We wish them much success in their future rentals :)

Beautiful spot on the lake
The property is just as listed and has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing vacation. Very comfortable beds and plenty of seating. A perfect little sandy/pebble shallow shore for little ones. GREAT FISHING! Our hosts were only a phone call/message away. The only reason for the 3-star rating on neighborhood is due to someone building a camp two doors down, hammering and sawing most of the day. Also, another neighbor right next door was extremely unfriendly (no fault of the hosts at all!). Beautiful lake and close to everything!
