We loved the location and hearing wave action at night was very restorative. We shared place with my brother and sister in law from
Colorado and they arevdd st o impressed! Thank you

Towels were ratty and smelly. Outlet for microwave and toaster didn’t work. Depressing; not what anyone would expect

Cute little place was just right for me, my partner, and dog. There was enough room for the three of us to spread out when we needed to and it was cozy enough to settle in during an evening rain. The interior is a little dated and highly functional with all you need for a stay a the beach. The WiFi was easy to access and fast.
Great location being only steps to the beach and a short walk to downtown Manzanita. We also loved the porch for morning coffee and afternoon relaxing.

Front door handle nearly fell off in my hand, tried to find some tools, none anywhere, had to use a table knife to tighten the screws so we weren't at risk of being unable to open the door. No binder available that would explain things about the house, especially TV operation, and there were dirty dishes in the cupboards. The towels were old and well used, like what you'd use on your dog. The home is in need of some updating and the front yard could be cleaned-up as the majority of the neighborhood is nice. The house is in a good location.

Kitchen was a bit sparse and we needed help with TV due to no booklet, but management came and fixed TV issue which was appreciated. House is a modest gem with a beach view on the porch and a good wood burning stove. Comfortable and close to beach. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely location near the beach. Clean and quiet.

This property is quaint and charming! We enjoyed our stay very much, wish we could have stayed longer.

Perfect for a solo stay at the beach!

The home quite frankly is in disrepair. There is obvious mold and mildew in bedrooms. All linens and furniture are old and substandard/ worn out. We could not use the couch or chairs and had to sit on kitchen chairs the whole time due to deterioration in furniture cushions. This was the worst rental we have ever used. The home is in an excellent location and that must be why people continue to rent it. We highly suggest vrbo remove this property from your rental pool for health and fairness reasons

We left a list of things we weren’t happy with!

We felt that the interior and furniture and the exterior were rather shabby. We were comfortable, but expected a bit more based on the photographs.

We had a wonderful stay at the beach cottage. We loved the location and being able to walk into town and the beach. We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the peacefulness of the view of the ocean. Thank you!

This house is all about location. With some upgrades and work this is a nice rental. Merideth was very responsive about the problems that the house had while we were staying there

Lots of great walks and meals

The location was great. The house was very over priced. When I asked the site, it was because we booked with Vrbo. Just go direct if this happens, it would probably be cheaper. The house was outdated. The linens weren’t great. If it was priced accordingly, then it would have been a more enjoyable stay.

Our beach house was clean and well equipped with fantastic beach access. Also the check-in, check-out process was very simple. We enjoyed our three-night stay and used the cottage as a pied-à-terre for excursions to other near-by beach towns. The only thing I might add is that the furnishings and decor were a bit faded. The cottage seemed like a place that the owners have grown tired of and merely rent out. Overall, however, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the cottage to others. P.S. There were occasional ants on the bathroom counter, but we know from experience in our Portland residence that ants in the spring and summer are common!

The property was clean and just like the listing. Just a short walk to the beach or into town. Great place to stay.

Location was great with access to the beach. The lockbox was awful. We had to call for one of your repair people to let us in at about 5:00 pm. We feel a partial refund is in order. Also, you need to replace the outdated toilet that was too small for the average person. Also, some new towels to replace the ragged ones.

If you book through VRBO, you will pay 2 booking fees, one to Meredith Lodging and one to VRBO. Wish we had booked directly with Meredithlodging.com. With taxes and fees, our $283 per night actually ended up being $472 per night.
Property was as described, great for 3 people, pets allowed, and less than 1/2 block to beach. Lovely walk into town through the neighborhood. View of ocean from deck was very enjoyable, and kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc.
Tiny sugar ants were on kitchen and bathroom counters, but these were a minor annoyance and we kept everything put away and wrapped.

Location was awesome, short walk ti Laneda Ave and an even shorter walk to the beach. House is quaint but very dated in furniture and functionality. Majority of the blinds either did not work or were damaged. The shower head was made for someone 4'2".
The biggest concern, however, was the ants in the kitchen and bathroom vanity. Could not determine where the small black ants were coming from but I must have squished a few hundred over our three day stay. Made it difficult to cook or leave any food on the counter. Not a very appealing prospect. The coffee maker was ancient and a Kureig style coffee maker would have been better.
We would not book again in the future.

It was the perfect getaway for a couple of days if you want to stay right near the beach. The place was a bit dated and small, but it was clean.

Great Weekend Trip to the beach. Only possible criticism- shower head is very low, could be a problem for tall people

This cottage is private, quiet, above humble and has everything you need to call base camp. beach, shops, restauraunts and nature are all just outside the door. Its wasnt super fancy when we stayed but its charming in its down home appeal.

Manzanita Bliss
We loved this location, the home, town, proximity to the beach was amazing. Beds were too soft for me, but my kids were fine. Don't leave food on the counters due to a few ants. Otherwise, we loved walking on the beach, reading on the porch, enjoying the view and Manzanita! We'll be back!

Overpriced
It's a cute place close to the beach, however, the beds are terrible and bedding smelled old, we had ants in the bedroom and I had to the laundry and dishes. Not what I expected for the price I paid

great location
This is a clean, functional place in a great location. Kitchen is well stocked, ditto bathroom. Beds decent, bedding a little worn. Living room seating worn and uncomfortable. A few glitches but management co. responded quickly. Key box clunky but this seems to be par for the course for rental housing. A solid B+. I would definitely stay there again.

awesome
This house was perfect for our 6 night stay with access to beach...groceries...dining...hiking and exploring...I even harvested 50 mussels from a nearby beach to enjoy with our home cooked steak dinner...awesome

Lovely location, uncomfortable bedrooms
The location and open spaces in the unit were great. We enjoyed lots of beach time right out the front door. However, the beds were old box springs with quite a bit of sag in them and we found it hard to sleep comfortably. In addition, the thermostat for the heaters in the bedrooms didn’t work, so we had to choose between heat on or off.
Overall, we would consider coming back to this location, but would hope these amenities were improved and fixed before we return.

Perfect Location
Great spot in Manzanita with a super short walk to the beach, coffee shops, and restaurants. House was very clean though we did have a delayed check in by 2 hours which was disappointing. Like other reviews have said, the pillows are very flat and old as were the comforters on the bed. I really wished I had brought my own pillows. Otherwise this house was great and I would definitely stay here again.

Loved it!
Great location, very comfortable house at the beach. Had our 2 dogs and it was perfect. Can see the ocean from the front porch. The only suggestion ( not a complaint!) is that the beds need fluffier pillows, but I’m just a big, fluffy pillow kinda gal! Will definitely return.

Loved this cottage!
We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage, and will definitely book again. Nicely furnished and all the kitchen amenities you might need. Very clean, and area is nice and quiet. Easy walk down to the beach. Thanks for a great mini-vacation!

Great Location
The property is basically right across the street from the beach. Such easy access made for great walks on the sandy beach. The kitchen was fully equipped with all j yi our basic food prep needs & then some. We thoroughly enjoyed our evenings around the wood burning stove. It’s a great little place.
