We would stay here again

Cute and cozy house with a quick walk to the ocean. House was clean, close enough to walk into town for breakfast. Would definitely come back to enjoy this place again.

Lovely house, older style, like my grandparents house in 1960's. Kitchen had everything you needed for cooking, including beach plastic ware.
Kitchen table was old and pock marked, could be replaced or nice table cover could brighten things up.
Only one bathroom and upstairs was fine, maybe a problem for some. Bathroom had no hair dryer, only curling iron from the 80's. Beds were super comfy, plenty of towels.
Great property, but definitely over priced for style of house and furniture. Loved the more quiet location, had the beach to ourselves

This property is in a perfect location! The house had everything we needed to enjoy the beach and town. We didn't mind that it wasn't updated. We did wish there were screens on the doors in the bedrooms. Overall- great place to stay!!

Great communications and response to questions. Liked short walk to beach.

Stay was wonderful. House was clean and everything was easily accessible. Only down side was we bought stuff to make s’mores and the fireplace outside didn’t work as we thought it would /:

Good location close to the beach. Meets the basic needs for a small family or friend gathering.

My daughter, a couple of her friends, and I had a lovely time. It's comfortable, no frills but covers all the basics, has a nice layout with the bedrooms upstairs. Everything worked well. There's no view of the beach, but you can hear the waves and it's just a block away. I appreciated the location--a beautiful 15 - 20 minute walk along the beach to reach downtown Manzanita. The girls loved the giant bed and screen for late-night movie watching. We had a great time. Thank you!

We had some minor difficulty accessing the code when we arrived and the WiFi did not work. Meredith attempted to fix. Seems likely that the Spectrum bill was not paid or there was an outage in the area. Other than those minor glitches it was a delightful property - prett, clean and walking distance to the beach and close to the wedding venue (we were there for a wedding)

Ugh. The main bed caved toward the center. The bathroom and towels were in bad shape. Kitchen is a hodge podge of items not worth using. No cutting board.

Great little house in a quiet new close to the beach.
House was very clean and looks like they have been updating it.

Great location, a wonderful home with comfy beds and a shower which offered excellent water pressure. Would stay again.

Comfortable, close to beach
House is roomy for 4, kitchen is large and well equipped, the seating and beds are comfortable, and the location is great. No bath on main floor, not ideal.
Property could use some TLC. Overgrown bushes make it difficult to park 2 cars. Interior has a few places that need touch ups.
Property managers were very responsive, but we had several issues. House had not been cleaned when we arrived. Cleaning crew arrived during dinner and were very efficient. Managers agreed to refund our cleaning fee. Kitchen had no coffee filters and wrong ones were provided. First time using Meredith, so don’t know if we just caught them at a bad time.

Oregon Coast
Manzanita is a beautiful, peaceful, quaint beach town. It was a very short walk from the cottage to the beach with easy access. The cottage is older with a vintage vibe. If you’re looking for new, fresh amenities, this is not the place you. If you want a quaint, relaxing atmosphere, then you will enjoy the stay.

Great location, short walk to the beach
Just right for a weekend getaway for two

nice retreat
My daughter particularly enjoyed the ocean theme. I appreciated the spaciousness and comfort of the beds, the kitchen accoutrements, and the throw pillows and cushions for sitting on the floor. Couldn't get the dishwasher to stay closed, which was my main complaint. Lighting of dining room could also be improved. Having a washer and dryer available was great. Wasn't sure if I could have a fire in the fireplace or not (also didn't reach out to ask) thanks

Cute place, needs to be updated
This house provided a fun weekend getaway with friends. There were a few things falling apart (toilet paper holder falling out of the wall, wall sockets not securing plugs) so it could use some updates. The walk into town was a little too far and hilly, but the walk to the beach was close and easy. The location was nice if you want a quieter spot.

close to the beach
This house is located within easy walking distance to the beach and the ocean is visible from the upstairs rooms. This house had a well stocked kitchen and we cooked all our meals there. Loved it and will rent again.

Mostly clean but dilapidated
I chose this property because of the positives reviews and location, but I choose poorly. My first impression when I walked into the house was that it was clean but dated, not retro, just old. The dated kitchen and bathroom did not bother me because it mostly match the pictures online.
After checking in we used the restroom upstairs and noticed some black spots on the ceiling that appeared to be mold above the shower and there were also black spiders running underneath the washer dryer that’s in the bathroom. In the living room the wood around the wood stove was peeling off the walls, the cabinet doors in the kitchens were all very crooked and look like they have not been maintained.
We went outside to the back patio and found no cushions on the patio furniture as is depicted in the pictures online and there were numerous rotten boards on the patio that made it feel like it was unsafe to walk on. They said the propane grill was ready to go but it had an empty tank next to it in a partially tank with the fire pit. The fire pit igniter did not work so it was unusable. So basically the whole back porch area was just unusable.
As we walked around to the side porch we noticed broken steps and that pieces of the trellis that goes around the porch was laying in the grass. We decided not to chance it on the side porch.
Later on that night we went upstairs to the bedroom and wanted to open the sliding glass doors so we could hear the ocean as we slept but there were no screen on the sliding glass doors. The next day as we were walking back from the beach we noticed the screen door were laying outside on the top deck.
We reported the issues to the property management the following day after they texted and asked how everything was going. They did offered to send a maintenance man to come out and fix it. But since we were only there for two nights we asked if they could just do it after we leave. About 6:20 pm during our anniversary dinner, the maintenance man came by anyway and asked to look at the house and start work. I asked if he could just come back tomorrow since if I’m only here for two nights. Personally I really did not want to waste time I was paying for with a maintenance man fixing something that should’ve never been an issue to begin with.
Would I stay at this House again? In its current condition No.

Close to beach!
This house has the perfect location! We were literally a 2 minute walk from the beach. Someone reached out to us to check how we were doing and responded quickly to any questions we had. The check in process was very easy. Everything was clean and well kept. The house is definitely older so it does creak in the night but that is kind of the norm in this area and even with a noisy toddler we didn’t have any problems with it waking anyone up. We would definitely stay again.

Love the beach
This property was close to the beach and fit our family perfectly. We appreciated the communication with property company. We had left an item at the place and they responded to us quickly.

Charm
Had a great stay overall. There was a problem with one of the beds which was fixed a few hours after I called.

Winter Weekend getaway
A nice property a little ways away from the main downtown area. Nice path to the beach. House is dated, but everything works. King bed is saggy in the middle, but everything was comfortable. The remote didn't work with the TV, but we were able to download an app to one of our phones to be the remote and be able to change channels, and get to streaming apps. We would stay in this house again.

Great place right by the beach
We had a great Thanksgiving stay here, and appreciated the fully stocked kitchen - plus they left us a turkey roasting kit! We didn’t have issues with draftiness and found the downstairs comfortable. The king bed dips in the middle but is otherwise comfortable, and the bathroom totally functional if not super modern. A great stay a block from the beach and with a nice outdoor space. Would stay again!

Relaxing stay
We had 4 wonderful days. The house is cute, very clean and perfect for a family of 4. House is a little bit older albut very clean. The only thing was that the outside grill was not cleaned but the rest was perfect. The location is the best and peaceful. Just a few steps from the beach, and a nice walk to the village shops. Also very nearby a pleasant walk to the bay. Just ideal. We enjoyed the boardgames and the videos. We had to stay indoors more than we planned because of wildfire air pollution but that was no problem.

Another good stay
This is the second time that we have stayed here. It's a perfect size and great location. However, it is showing some wear and tear. The sliding glass door in the living room, smaller bedroom, and the front door have sizable enough gaps to make the house cold and wet feeling. Also, the toilet paper holder fell out of the wall. We didn't have internet service most of the time we were there. Luckily, we like to read and were out and about. The property management people were really good about trying to get the problem taken care of. We would definitely stay again, but the owners need to give it some tlc.

Comfortable, quiet relaxing stay. Fantastic location. Would book again in the future.

Toilet paper holder fell out of wall and light bulbs were out, this is an example of some of the negatives. Positives location, location

Needs a handyman desperately!
Cute house, very clean, & great location. But some necessary fixes have clearly been ignored: all the window treatments on the doors didn't work well, upstairs & downstairs so master bedroom had little privacy, for example. Kitchen window couldn't close and wasn't fixed during the stay despite being vulnerable as on ground floor. Dishwasher door couldn't close fully so didn't run. Finally lock box couldn't be closed upon leaving. Won't do Meredith Lodging again. This little house needs TLC!

Cozy Beach Hideaway
This two bedrooom house was clean and had all the amenities one would need to stay in the house. The bathroom had starter soap, shampoo, hair conditioner and a hair dryer. The kitchen was well equipped with all the cookware needed to make a meal. It was bright and open. The main bedroom had a very comfortable bed and a balcony with screened door, so we could have fresh air and keep the room cool at night. We appreciated the doors and windows that had screens, so we could enjoy the sea air. We did not use the barbecue grill this time, but hope to on our next visit. There were chairs and a table on both decks. We used the ones in the front the most because they were the most comfortable with a throw pillow. The place was close enough to town to walk (about a mile) to restaurants or to visit the shops. There is a grocery store in town that makes great sandwiches for a picnic lunch, plus they have salads and other items you might need. (There is a bigger grocery store by 101, too.) There is a walking path along the road, which is also used for a bike path. The campground is across the street and a drive towards the water. One addition I think that would have enhanced our stay would have been beach chairs, an umbrella and maybe a small cooler for a more comfortable time to spend on the beach reading. I gave it one less star, for this reason. We still very much enjoyed our stay and will be returning next year. Thank you for sharing your place with us.

Perfect getaway.
We were very happy with our stay. The home was in great condition, clean and neat, and well stocked. Beds were comfortable. We were just a short walk to the beach. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

Get Manzanita Experience
We went to Manzanita for a family wedding. Instead of renting a motel we decided to try a VRBO. We were not disappointed. Great accommodations and location. The process was easy and our experience was fantastic. Thanks for making our visit so wonderful!
