Great apartment with fantastic hosts. Book this now!

Fantastic hosts, Salvo and his wife made us feel at home and went out of their way to assist us with local restaurants, connecting us with a private driver, and just were so friendly. The apartment was located in a great spot, close to historic attractions within walking distance and also public transport (approx 20min walk from Catania's main train station, bus stops within a few min walk). The apartment was very clean, well equipped, had three sleeping areas (perfect for our family of five), a newly renovated bathroom (with a proper large shower head, rare in Italy), and a usable kitchen. There was even a terrace that one could eat on if they desired. This was our favourite apartment in our 6 week trip to Italy. Totally recommend this apartment, do not hesitate to book! 10 out of 10. Overall reasonably comfortable and clean

Clean and very central but did not know we couldn’t drive down the street to unload our cases We had to park about 500 metres away a d drag our luggage down cobblestone streets to accommodation. Not ideal on a very hot day and we are all in our late 70s Also not mentioned in description that bedrooms are interconnected Not ideal for privacy when 2 couples sharing . Also only 1 full bathroom To us 2 bathrooms means 2 showers with toilet and basin Hosts were very helpful and plenty of towels etc

Dimora perfetta per un gruppo di amici

La Dimora del Sole è situata all'interno di una silenziosa palazzina nel pieno centro di Catania lunga la Via Etnea. L'appartamento, recentemente ristrutturato, è dotato di ogni comfort, molto pulito e si presta ad ospitare senza problemi fino a 8 persone divisi su 3 ampie stanze. La disponibilità e simpatia di Salvo e Lella: ci hanno accolti e fatti sentire a casa, dandoci un sacco di ottimi consigli su luoghi d'interesse e ristoranti... spero tanto sia un arrivederci!

Salvo and Lella were fantastic, kind, friendly hosts. Great communication prior to our arrival and excellent hints and tips and recommendations when we arrived of things to do and where to eat. The apartment was perfect for us. Although right in the middle of one of the busiest streets in Catania, the apartment was so peaceful. The air conditioning was a definite plus. Comfortable beds ensured a good nights sleep.

There was nothing I didn’t like. Some scissors would be good in the kitchen.

Great spot to explore Catania

A great place to stay to get to know Catania. Ideally between the centre and Bellini park with many restaurants in the area. Very nice hosts, always ready to help but also not interfering with your stay. If you are looking for a place to experience Catania, to have everything within walking distance - this is the place!

almost everything was great except for one room, which is a bit lower (a tall person has to bend down a bit) and you have to climb the stairs there.

This apartment was perfect for 3 adult women, holidaying in Catania.

Salvo communicated very well re the property, and met us promptly at the property with the keys. He and his wife ran through all the instructions well. The property was in an excellent location - close to everything, and was a joy to come back to, at the end of the day. It was lovely and clean, and had everything we needed. If ever I am back in Catania, I would choose this apartment again.

Would stay here again! Having a small kitchen was helpful, and we had enough bedrooms for all.

Location couldn't have been better for our family. The host was very helpful and personally showed us around the apartment when we arrived, welcoming us.

Superb

I cannot thank our host enough - we booked this property for our family of 6 adults to stay in, and had different expectations of the interior layout. The apartment is lovely and would have been wonderful for a different group (beautiful principal bedroom, lovely bathroom, beautiful terrace), but did not meet our needs for privacy and quiet (principal room was reached through a different bedroom which doubled as the sitting/gathering space). When we spoke with our host about the misunderstanding, he was incredibly accommodating and helpful in adjusting our stay. We have only good things to say about him and our stay in this apartment - its location was wonderful!

Came as guests... Left as friends... Lovely host... Great spacious apartment...perfect stay.

The host was a great guy... Took care of us like we were part of his family.. Went above and beyond to ensure that we are comfortable and felt welcome. The location of the apartment is spectacular... Right in the middle of Via Etnea.. Walking distance to literally everything and all the major sites.. Restaurants.. Supermarkets.. Christmas Market..

Great apartment, great hosts

Salvo and his wife were great hosts! Despite arriving late at night due to flight change, they welcomed us and explained everything we needed to know about the apartment. The communication with the host has been excellent. The apartment was very comfortable and clean, at a great location. Totally recommended.

We had to pay an extra city tax fee, however this was already mentioned in the apartment's description. The bedroom upstairs was a little hot.

Amazing

Luxurious, spacious, maximum clean apartment, spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds, pleasant and useful interior terrace, building with quiet residents in the heart of Catania. AliBus has arrival and departure stations from/to the airport nearby. Exceptional hosts, an example of how such a business should work, very kind and civilized. Thank you very much! See you next time we arrive in Sicily!

Great place in the heart of Catania

Salvo & Lella are super nice people. We had an issue with the shower and Salvo fixed it right away. Eventhough their English isn't great they will do their best to help in any way. You can feel their sincerity. The location of the apartment is awesome: you're in the middle of the centre but it's nice and quiet. Pretty much verything is in walking distance. The upstairs room has no AC but it does have a quiet fan with a remote and there are insect screens on the windows so you can keep the windows open. The very comfortable couch turns into a bed which looked really comfy as well. Just know that the part you sit on is not the part you sleep on, there's a separate mattress ;) Oh, the WiFi works great too!

There are only minor details I missed having, like some hooks to hang your clothes on in the upstairs room or salt and pepper for cooking. And the shower might not be too comfy for bigger people. Like I said, very minor things. Overall we had a great stay.
