About this house rental

Available Thanksgiving week , Christmas / New Year's and the month of January (at reduced price). Skiing Gore or Lapland? Ice fishing? Perfect location!

Description:

Plenty of space in this 3,431 SF home (12 people max.) to celebrate the holidays this year or ski Gore Mountain, only an hour away. Discounts available for extended stays. 3 night minimum.

Play in the cold, then relax your tired muscles in the hot tub!

The view from this home can't be beat. Peaceful and serene with gorgeous sunrises, geese flying overhead, sunshine sparkling on the ripply water or reflecting off the frozen lake. Gaze at the moon and stars from the warmth and comfort of the outdoor hot tub and fire pit. Never a dull moment with bar (lights up), poker table, dart board, tournament sized pool table, 100" projector and screen with HD movies, surround sound... (Apple TV, Netflix, etc.). Cozy fireplaces and woodstoves for ambience w/ uniform heat from baseboard heaters.

If you're looking to connect with nature and/or recreate, there is plenty of of hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, fishing, snowmobiling close by. (For trail info or if you'd like to be guided, please inquire)

Only 30 minute drive to groomed nordic trails at Lapland Lake, 45 minute drive to world-renowned Saratoga Springs (spas, shopping and dining, etc.) and an hour to Gore Mountain. Equidistant to Canada, Boston, NYC.

This is a pet friendly home. Please inquire whether your furry friend(s) meet the criteria.

Sleeping options:
- Stay in the fully insulated and heated cottage with a short queen and fold down sofa for a more private experience (no bathroom).
- Four queen beds in the house
- Custom built boat bed (1 person) made from an actual row boat
- Comfortable memory foam mattresses

The rate has been reduced for off-season enjoyment.

Guests must read and agree to all conditions before booking (by booking, guests are inherently agreeing to all terms).

House is not to be rented for the purpose of ‘partying’. Guests violating this rule may be charged their full security deposit, even when there’s no damage.

Should there be damage, and/or complaints filed by neighbors, VRBO / HomeAway will charge your credit card up to $1,500. Claims in excess, would be handled separately.

I may not continue offering this house for rent after January so if you're interested, don't hesitate. This may be it!

What a beautiful place. Ahne place is so beautiful. It has everything a family would be looking for. The views are second to none and the house is kept so neatly and very well equipped with all you would need. Ahne is the best host. She is there if you need her for anything. You can't got wrong with this beautiful lakefront paradise.

We enjoyed our stay at this property, the owner was very attentive, available for questions, place was very clean, great space for grandparents and their families. Rented a boat and docked it at the house. Great beach and dock to swim off of. Clean water. Excellent vacation!

Loved the home and enjoyed the access to the water,that was key. It was so important to have a place we had space to have some time alone but also we had several places that we could gather together., which was so important to me.We loved the deck where we eat most of our meals ,we enjoyed the projector TV where we all could watch a late night movie . We also loved playing pool and darts. It truly was a very comfortable place to gather.We loved having the kayaks, the volleyball net , the fire pit and the super host Ahne was able to make are stay not only special but accommodated us with any of our needs! Thank you Ahne your are special!

The house and property is even better in person. There is so much to do between the lake activities and many games to be played. The downstairs is just amazing. Ahne was easy to contact and very attentive to our questions. We very strongly recommend this property. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would

We rented Ahne's beautiful home for a few days getaway and couldn't be more satisfied. It had all the amenities and little touches you could ask for. Games, hot tub, fully stocked, lake front access, water sport toys - we had an incredible stay. Ahne is also a very kind and responsive host who looks out for the quality of your stay. We would definitely love to come back again and recommend this house to anyone else. One of the best places we've stayed in our VRBO adventures.

Impeccably maintained home, on a great lot overlooking the Sacandaga and Beacon Island. The home comes with everything you need. We didn't need to bring much other than our swimsuits. We rented a boat and made use of the mooring buoy that came with the home. Excellent communication with the owner that lives in the region, and was available at any time. Don't hesitate to book!

My family had a great vacation here! Ahne was very responsive, the house was beautiful, well-stocked, and had plenty of entertainment for the rainy days as well as the beautiful ones. We hope to stay here again in the future! Thank you, Ahne, for the hospitality! One note for other guests is that there are a lot of single/double steps around the house. My dad uses a walker so needed a hand here and there, but he managed ok.

It was great having a place for the whole family to get away. The house was beautiful and plenty of room for eight adults and two children. Having the lake right there was awesome. The hot tub and pool table were a hit as well. Communication with Ahne, the owner was great!

We had an amazing time at this beautiful property. The house was perfectly clean when we arrived, and the property manager available and easy to contact. The view of the water was incredible. We had so much to do, and my family was never bored. We had so many activities to choose from, paddle boating, paddle boards, kayaks, swimming, fishing, swinging on the deck and more. At night we would start a fire in the gas fire pit, make smore's, have a pool competition, then finish off the night in the hot tub- still in view of the water. I would recommend this property to any family wanting to get away from the chaos of real life, and just relax. ABSOLUTELY LOVELY.

We just completed a wonderful five day stay at this really beautiful, really well furnished home on Great Sacandaga Lake. Ahne was a really great host; I actually can’t imagine anyone doing a better job as a host, and she is a great communicator. The house is beautiful, well appointed, and perfectly situated right on the water with its own dock, a small gravel beach, and a variety of canoes, kayaks, SUP, paddle boat, etc. Also, the house is really well stocked, so you don’t need to bring cooking oil, spices, laundry detergent, you name it. Highly recommend!

The property owner is considerate and very accommodating. We rented this property for my bridal party to use to get ready in the morning of my wedding, the photos for our "first look" came out amazing with the lake in the background. Picture perfect all around.

The house and the location were great. Plenty of room for all of us (10), and plenty of indoor entertainment (large, open kitchen area, downstairs rec room w/ pool table etc.) and lots of outdoor activities. Ahne was responsive leading up to the trip, and accommodating of our requests (flexibility about reserving her ski boat, changing credit cards, etc.). The house was clean and well stocked, with a lot of cool little features (great bluetooth speakers, trolling motor for the rowboat....). Would definitely go back.

Ahne was an amazing host . The house was perfect and had everything that we needed.The views both day and night , SPECIAL...Loved the firepit and jacuzzi was an added bonus. We will be back !!!!
