Perfect size for 5 adults. Overall a fantastic experience where the property managers/host were very responsive and the home was a wonderful retreat from your work life. The amenities were great with a dedicated A/C in every room and a pristine pool where you'll just love to spend the night listening to the rainforest and staring at the stars. This home is very remote (3km from the main road to the "gate"+ 7km from the gate to the home). It'll take you an additional 10-25 min to get to the main road with a few steeper inclines. A decent rental vehicle is highly recommended. Overall a fantastic stay.

Casa De Fox is a spacious, clean, and comfortable villa located in a very private setting surrounded by jungle. We enjoyed the extra space, the nice pool and balcony overlooking the jungle, and the abundance of wildlife at this remote location. If you are looking to escape from the crowds and immerse yourself in the jungle, this is your home. The Villa Manager (Brian) and caretaker (Mauricio) were great hosts and very responsive to any questions we had and made several excellent recommendations during our stay. The only "challenge" with this villa is the fairly rough dirt road that takes a little extra time to navigate on your day trips, so plan a little extra time and recognize that its part of getting a remote and private jungle experience. Overall a solid villa and my family enjoyed our stay.

The property is amazing if you like being away from people. It was so perfect for us. We loved the monkeys coming through every morning.

Wow. Beautiful home in a tropical Forest
Beautiful, clean home with all the amenities. Unique location within and overlooking a tropical forest with birds and monkeys in the area. Home is within a development and you need to drive for a while on narrow gravel road to get to the quiet home. Very responsive support from the local-site manager, Brian. He had many suggestions, handled everything quickly, answered all of our questions and provided guidance and booking for local activities. We were interested in seeing macaws and he brought us to a local farmhouse where they had 2 beautiful scarlet macaws that we were able to feed. They are free to roam but stay at the farm.

Lovely Home....remote location
We are giving this property a 4 star rating because the home was lovely and more importantly, Brian was an amazing concierge who answered texts and phone calls readily and was ready to make things right when we had a need. I would warn anyone booking that this house is a good 13 minute drive off the main road, on rough and at times very hilly and muddy gravel roads. We did not expect this and it made our very short stay in the area frustrating because of the time it wasted. Also, the drive to Manuel Antonio National Park was a good 45 minute drive. If you are not concerned with leaving the property often, then you will love it. We saw monkeys and beautiful birds. The pool area is peaceful. Just come well stocked with groceries and plan to stay more than 2 nights!

Beautiful home!
We had a great time at the house. The inside was beautiful and we enjoyed the pool area. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. The only negative was the road into the house was definitely rough. It took about 15-20 minutes just to get back to the main road to go out to eat, etc. Overall, it was a great place to stay and would recommend it.

jungle house
Wow....this house is great. It was off the beaten path and yet very close to Quepos/ M.A.. The pool overlooked a jungle like forest with a variety of birds, insects, Iguanas, troops of titi monkeys, all of which made staying at the house awesome. The house was comfortable, although could use a window shade in the living room to keep the sunlight from working against the air conditioner.. The master bedroom has a nice soaking tub that was perfect after a long day of walking. The beds were comfortable. If there was a negative, it was that the pots and pans were ruined and needed to be replaced. We bought a few of our own cheaply enough which we donated. This place is really special and highly recommended.

Simply spectacular!
We had possibly one of the very best vacations we've ever had!! The house was everything we wanted and needed for our stay, it slept all 7 of us (4 adults, 3 kids) comfortably, was immaculately clean, and the views are nothing short of spectacular. Several mornings during our 9 days, we saw squirrel monkeys in the trees around the house, green macaws, a toucan and there are plenty of cicadas to sing to you at night.
Anne-Lill and Brian were so warm, wonderful and helpful, regardless of the day or night. We had a very early morning departure to San Jose to fly home, and that was accommodated, no problem for check out! Our excursions were coordinated for us, and we even had a chef from one of the local restaurants come to the house to cook for us on Valentines Day, all arranged for us by Brian. Any questions were addressed promptly, and any assistance required was provided promptly as well, even when there was a "hiccup" or two in our plans. Brian checked in on us via phone daily to ensure we didn't need anything, we were very well taken care of.
Shopping for groceries was quite easy, there are several stores within a 10 minute drive or so from the house. Its also a short drive to many great restaurants as well.
I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a rainforest experience and would like to see animals etc. The kids loved the pool (it was shallow enough that all could touch the bottom, which was nice, no "deep end"), and the adults enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the location immensely. Driving into the property does take some getting used to, the roads are what we'd call "unassumed" in Canada, so they're quite rough and tumble. After a few days of driving them though, we did get used to it, and were able to navigate our way in and out of the property without the provided map. The house is in short driving distance to Manuel Antonio, Quepos, Parrita and Jaco, all of which we visited during our stay, and got to return to the tranquility every night.
If you're not an early riser, I recommend you bring sleep masks, as all the bedrooms are quite bright and open, with no window coverings. It was great to wake up to bright sunshine every morning however!!
Beautiful home, beautiful surroundings, wonderful owners. We'll definitely be back!

Lovely and Quite
This is a lovely large home and we enjoyed our stay. Lots of birds and monkeys to be seen! The home was clean and Brian was very helpful booking excursions and giving us tips on where and where not to go. We lost power a couple of times (which is common in Costa Rica) but we had our flashlights and Brian kept us informed on the electric company's progress. Love Costa Rica!

Awesome house and location!
This lovely house is in a beautiful, private setting with nothing but the sounds of the jungle in the air. It exceeded our already high exceptions.
Everything was in good repair and all of the features were clean and working properly.
In the dry season we didn't need four wheel drive, but the dirt road is bumpy and I could see excess rains making it slippery enough to warrant 4WD at times.
One thing I would ask the owners to add would be a bluetooth (or similar) speaker.

Lovely house, monkeys close by, and fabulous support
We greatly enjoyed our stay in January. The walk by our house proved a delightful time watching a dozen squirrel monkeys playing the trees. Late afternoon down time proved relaxing by the well-maintained pool. Brian was always helpful with suggestions on places to go and addressing any questions we had.
Quiet and modern best describe this house. The road to the house is unpaved and long but 4-wheel drive isn't necessary. Be sure to spend quiet time watching for wildlife and take a couple walks to see those entertaining monkeys ( almost a bigger sighting than Manuel Antonio Park!) We are grateful for all their efforts to give us a wonderful stay.

Excellent experience off the beaten path
Really enjoyed our stay at Casa De Fox. It was a very nicely appointed home, with all the modern amenities that you'd want. Brian was a great concierge and local resource, and we appreciate that he made himself available throughout our stay at the residence. Booking through VRBO was very easy and Anne-Lill was extremely quick to communicate throughout the process. (Sorry we couldnt stay and chat on Sat morning, we were late for the fishing charter!) Location was convenient for trips to nearby Quepos and Manuel Antonio Park. The drive into the property seemed a little intimidating at first, but after a couple trips into town it was no problem in the little 4X4 rental SUV we had. Its very much in the rainforest so insects and jungle noises are to be expected, and we really enjoyed seeing a large troupe of Squirrel Monkeys jump through the trees in the morning as we enjoyed the pool deck. Thanks for a great time!

Amazing home. Loved it!!!!
We were two families with young kids (8-12 years old) from US, France and Spain.
We enjoyed the amazing home, modern design, spacious, with A/C, our own pool and garage.
Brian Miranda was an incredible resource to recommend places to visit and outstanding restaurants. Ronnys restaurant was awesome, we were celebrating a birthday and our food and service was superb.
Definitely Casa Fox is an excellent home to stay in contact with nature.
Highly recommended.....Loved it!!!!
