About this cottage rental
Three bedroom Cottage/Shack with a huge yard for the children to play.
Peterborough is small town on The Great Ocean Road often missed as the highway bypasses the small town. That, however, is the point. Peterborough – easy to miss but downright beautiful and no crowds.
Everything in Peterborough is within walking distance. If you’re walking, the town is 10 minutes away. Two stores. One is a good takeway – pizza, pies, coffee – doubling as a post office. The other is the town’s licensed grocery store/bottleshop. There is also a hotel within the township
The solitude and the beach are great reasons to is it Peterborough. A magnificent rock pool attracts the older kids, the ocean’s waves crashing a stone’s throw away. Snorkelers explore the rocks and reefs, boogie-borders ride the breakers, and people follow secret tracks in the nearby sand dunes in search of a vantage point from which to take in this glorious but small part of the world.
There’s a jetty and boat ramp behind the tourist park, and Curdies Inlet offers up bream and flathead. It meanders beneath a bridge, towards the beach, but we’re told that the ocean rarely meets the inlet itself – this explains the somewhat murky appearance of the river water. But closer to the beach, where the inlet is shallow, the water is clear and popular with families. Toddlers frolic, chasing fingerlings and adventure, safe from the open water of the Southern Ocean.
Peterborough lies on the Great Ocean Road, 235km west of Melbourne, 54km east of Warrnambool.
Peterborough is located a three hour drive from Melbourne along the Princes Highway.

Great option for a busy stay.
Our original plan was to camp one night at a friends property but last minute due to preparations and weather we changed and found this place, suitable for what we needed, a place to crash. We stayed 2 nights as we decided to sight see with our child.
The bed we slept in was pretty firm, not much sleep, but we just needed to inspect the beds before we chose a room, our daughter ended up with the soft one. Overall it was good for what we needed. Way better than camping unprepared.

Stayed for a work trup
On first appearance the property looks quite small, but as you go in the front door you are presented with a really clean and tidy modern house. The kitchen ammenities are great for cooking. The property manager is very quick to respond and nothing is an issue. If your looking at staying around this area, I would definitely recommend staying at this house.

Super cheap but not clean.
Dirty (and stained) sheets during a pandemic is unbelievable. It would seem they didn't have enough to change them with back to back bookings. The dust under the bed was as thick as carpet (at least a years worth), the blankets dusty too, my dustmite allergy was in full force sneezing the entire time. Local bottleshop sells antihistamines. Not recommended for asthmatics. Inadequate toilet paper supply was replenished, however would have preferred not having to negotiate a wiping supply for a 2 night stay of 4 adults in a place that sleeps 6. Would be an absolute steal if more money was put into sheets and cleaning.

Peterborough trip
Experience was very good. Property was nice, well presented and was as described.
Only issue was the aircon, it totally failed to provide comfort in a hot sunny day.

Good
This is a cabin so think small but good.
Kitchen was large and has everything you need
Owner put effort in updating the property.
It was clean enough.
Foxtel, WiFi and Netflix is a good touch.
The only negative is that the ac/heat is under powered for the size of the property and it was cold.
Overall a good place to stay. Has all you need for a family and great value.

Great property in a beautiful location
Property met our needs perfectly. Suitable accommodation for our family of 4, in a great location. Only a short walk to the shops, the beach, and the coastal walk.
Definitely recommend to families.

Old and run down not very well renovated very dusty
Everything we needed was there and worked just a dusty old house, widow sills and slides dirty. Needs a freshening up. Back door needs replacing.

Nice home with good location
Thanks Graeme. We enjoyed our stay. Home has all necessities & location was so good, with many attractions in Peterborough and Port Campbell are only short drive. House would benefit from a coffee machine, but all in all kids loved it and the trip was memorable.

Lovely little house with three bedrooms, kitchen is well stocked, bathroom is lovely
Nice area for a holiday, not far from beach and local amenities. A wonderful spot to have a quiet getaway. Driving distance to tourist attractions like twelve apostles and Warrnambool.
House has well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a wonderful bathroom. The only thing that would make it better would be bedside lamps, apart from that we really enjoyed our stay, including the teenagers

Wonderful Family Holiday
Not only was this a great value property in a great spot on the Great Ocean Road, but it was a well equipped property with enough space for the kids to play inside when the weather turned bad. Being able to take our little Jack Russell with us meant we were able to enjoy our short break away as a family without missing Charlotte. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay in your property and look forward to staying again in the future (and apologies for getting bogged out the back of the property due to the heavy rain when trying to turn the car around, but thanks to the neighbours for helping us get the car out!).
