Quiet, cute, and close to the mountain.
Lovely time, just 8 minutes from catamount and 20 from Great Barrington. We had a nice time, has all the amenities you’d need to not have to bring anything but yourself. The house itself has a circa 1800 build style charm to it that many can appreciate and the host was very easy to communicate with. Check in and out was a breeze.

Warm and welcoming!
This lovely home has charm in every room! Comfortable beds, a well-stocked kitchen, and a sun room with southern light all make for a most pleasant stay. Vicki is easy to communicate with and the location made for quick access to the slopes and other local attractions.

Charming old home with easy access to outdoor activities
We loved being in beautiful farm country and were able to bike, hike, see waterfalls, and swim within a short drive on wonderful country roads. Vicki has a Weber grill, badminton set, fishing poles, outdoor table and chairs, and firewood on the property. The house has charming exposed wooden ceiling beams, lovely garden flowers, a variety of kitchen spices/seasonings and a great music collection. It is an old house with AC window units and standing fans in most rooms; one tiny washroom and one shower/toilet, so best for (2-6) guests who don't mind sharing the first floor bathroom. Her Flashlights and lanterns came in handy during an unexpected power outage in the area. Throughout, Vicki answered my texts quickly and kindly, showing responsiveness and thoughtfulness. We hope to return

Fantastic Host
Stunning home, has everything you will need, amazing host and a lot of privacy. We had a wonderful time at Vicki’s beautiful home and would love to visit again in the future. Vicki was super accommodating and a very friendly kind host who did everything she could to make us feel welcome here. She gave us some superb recommendations on where to eat, places to shop and sights to see. The space was absolutely what was promised. The bed was super comfy! We felt very comfortable, safe, and it was very clean. The location was great, too. We just loved every minute of our visit.

Ski Weekend
We were looking for a place convenient to Catamount. We didn’t spend a lot of time at the house but it was lovely. Per the description, it is 100+ year old cottage. It was quaint and a different experience for us. Cottage was clean and warm. It was convenient to Catamount and easy to find. Owner was very accessible and welcoming.

Cozy Cottage
We had a wonderful long weekend skiing. Vicki was a gracious and communicative host. Catamount was less than 15 away and the market 10 minutes away. Her home was impeccably clean and one of the guests with us has cat allergies and couldn’t tell that a cat lived there. Thanks again Vicki.

What a quaint place!
This house was everything it says! I felt like a family member there! Warm and cozy, with a great fire place in the living room. The hostess Vicki decorated it for the holidays so it was festive and lit up with sparkle lights everywhere! It made it feel welcoming and cozy. In her kitchen, which has every pot and pan you could have a need for, she had a spice cabinet! With real spices! A rare find in the vrbo world! And as someone who loves to cook and loves flavor,,, this was magical! I give this place a stong 5 star rating. We will be back!

Lovely country home!
We had a fantastic stay at Vicky’s cottage home. It’s warm and cozy and has all of the amenities you could possibly want including grill. She has a beautiful bluestone patio that we enjoyed drinking cocktails and listening to music outside. Vicky was very communicative and clearly wanted us to have a great time - which we did!

We were in Copake to complete the Appalachian trail segment over Bear Mountain. Given the unpredictable nature of fall weather we wanted a home base for a few days. Vicky was great at communicating with us but our favorite part of the trip was hanging out with Cosmos the cat. Note - this is an 1800’s original house so people over 6’ may bonk their heads in certain areas. The kids bedroom is awesome for people under 5’.

Lovely country setting with activities nearby
The house was spacious, with plenty of room for us and our teenage kids, though it is the owner's place of residence, so much of her stuff is there. This also means that is the house is equipped for full-time living, with comfortable mattresses and AC in all the rooms. It is actually in Craryville, but very close to Hillsdale, surrounded by beautiful country roads. The sheets and linens were included, which was convenient, as were fishing rods, and a badminton set. We found many things to do in the area: hiking on the Appalachian Trail across the border in Massachusetts, swimming in Guilder Pond there; Bash Bish falls early morning (before the crowds) followed by blueberry picking and swimming at the Ore Pit Pond after lunch; biking on the Harlem Valley Rail Trail; a daytrip to Olana in Hudson; the Rodgers Book Barn in Hillsdale; and dinners at the Copake Country Club and the Roe Jan Brewery and brunch at the Crossroads Food Shop. And all this in the midst of Covid. We also enjoyed fishing at the pond and s'mores by the fire pit. The one surprise we were not counting on is that Vicky has a cat who normally lives with her at the house, so we were worried that would trigger our son's allergies, but the house was clean enough so it wasn't a big deal. Altogether - a great week!

A break from NYC
We -2 adults and 2 kids (15 and 11) had a great time at Vicky's wonderful house. When we were not exploring the various outdoors activities nearby we played badminton, threw a frisbee and played catch with our football in Vicky's spacious yard. Vicky called us the day before our arrival and explained everything we needed to know about the house. Highly recommended.

Nice stay!
We had an overall nice stay at this property. It is a rustic farmhouse and provided a great spot visit the Berkshires area. Vickie was very commucative throughout the whole process. She has a very well stocked kitchen and provided fishing rods and a badminton set for my kids to enjoy. We especially enjoyed the outdoor grill, star gazing by the fire pit, and the pond down the private road.

A beautiful month in June
We had a lovely time at Vicki’s! My kids especially loves the fishing pond and roasting marshmallows on the fire pit. Some mornings they caught as many as 6 fish before breakfast! We have stayed In Hillsdale/Copake a few times and plan to return again.

Rural Retreat
Spent some time at Vicky's wonderful little home while looking at houses in the area. Communication with Vicky was seamless and always fun (she's a great lady). The house had everything we needed to kick-back and relax after a day of schlepping around the Berkshires. Kitchen was clean, and had EVERYTHING we needed to whip together meals. Grill worked flawlessly (which is a common stumbling point with rentals). Roasting marshmellows while star-gazing was a highlight!
Close to town (just a quick and scenic drive to Hillsdale), yet away from it all.
Can't wait to come back!

Cozy famiky getaway
House was very much as advertised. Good layout, everything in working order and as pictured. Convenient location. Door clearance/ceiling height in the second upstairs bedroom was a bit low for me but no issues for my kids. Vicki was extremely responsive and helpful.

House is charming!
Kitchen is perfect and full stocked!
Fire pit is the best!
Ideally located to Bish Bash falls, Copake Lake and Rudd Pond.
Vicki is such a gracious host! She left toys for our kids, clean sheets and towels, and greeted us so we knew where everything was. She even set up a badminton net and the fire pit for our first fire!
We will be back soon.....

Wedding
My son was married to his beautiful wife in Hillsdale. I was lucky enough to find Vicki’s gem of a charming, quaint farmhouse on VRBO . The farmhouse is cozy, clean and comfy. The grounds are beautiful and the area is stunning. Vicki was a love to do business with. She is true to her word, prompt with her promises and readily available if you need anything. 5 star rating for top notch accommodations!

Wonderful Memorial Day weekend.
The home is ideal for a relaxing weekend away and centrally locates for dinner in Hudson and Great Barrington. I enjoyed sitting on the stone patio and grilling some farm fresh items that I picked up from Random Harvest 5 minutes away. Vicky was responsive and checked in on me to see if I needed anything. Home is very cozy and was a perfect find for my stay. I will definitely return.
