The cottage was perfect for our family of 4. It was so close to the beach, shops & restaurants. We took the Block Island Ferry over to BI one day & it was so easy. We drove to Newport to see the mansions & sailing. I loved the outdoor shower. Overall A+ vacation!

Other than the rain midweek we had a great time.

Best thing, it was close to the beach. Cottage needs upkeep and paint. Very dark in kitchen, need headlamp to cook at stove. Main burner not seated, couldn't use. Kitchen sprayer didn't work. Door handle to bath loose. To get to bed in 2nd bedroom, need to open door into room, then close it to move around bed, then open again. Both beds against wall on one side. One outlet in 2nd bedroom didn't work.
Outside, one is looking at a driveway, small houses, trailers, ferry long term parking. No trees for shade, not inviting place to sit outside.
On positive note, Bob and Donna, the property managers, were very nice and responsive. They came on a weekend to replace battery in smoke alarm and tighten up bathroom handle. They made note of many repair items, and we believe they will take care of them. But we will not return to this property.

If you want to park your car and walk everywhere, this is the place for you. Cottage is small, has 2 bedrooms, but i wouldnt want any more than 2 people staying there.

Well appointed and super cute - loved the outdoor shower and beach proximity. I’ll be back!

The location was perfect!! We were 5 adults so the cottage was on the small side for us but we made due. There were very good restaurants a short walk away and we loved Salty Brine beach!! We used the outdoor shower quite a bit...it was a lifesaver with 5 adults. We would stay again with smaller group for sure!! Thank you for an over-all wonderful stay.

This is our second year at the Cottage in Galilee. We loved every second of it, and can't wait to return again. The cottage is clean and cozy with great views of the docks. There is much to do in the area, and the neighbors are lovely. When you visit, be sure to wave to the Block Island Ferry for us!

It was as described, well equipped ( although some dish towels would have been nice to dry dishes with but that is just the way I do things, most people probably wouldn’t be bothered by just letting them air dry) perfect for someone who wants to be at the beach and not have to drive somewhere for a meal or an ice cream cone. Slight hiccup with ac upon arrival, but owner addressed the problem quickly and efficiently. It was probably “ operator error!”My son and his wife a 2 year old stayed with me for a few days, my granddaughter loved the beach, especially at low tide. The entire port of Galilee could hear her scream when it was time to leave - she did not want to get out of the water! I had a couple of my girlfriends join me as well for a couple of days, and we all enjoyed the beach and watching the boats and people. Cottage and bathroom are small , but the outside shower really made it doable for everyone, ranging in age from 2 1/2 to 73!!! My son used the grille and he said it was excellent! I hope to be able to come back . Oh, and the fireworks were a bonus!!!

Cute cottage in a wonderful location. Walk to beach, food, ferry and more. The sunsets were magnificent and the sweet little patio area was perfect for viewing. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen was clean and there were plenty of dishes, glasses and cups. The outdoor shower and beach wagon were great conveniences.

Quaint Cottage by the Block Island Ferry
My family enjoyed our stay at this cute cottage in Galilee. Although our one week vacation was cut short 2 days due to Hurricane Henri, we still were able to make it to the beaches nearby, and had fun boogie boarding at East Matunuck Beach, and Scarborough Beach, and enjoyed one day exploring Newport. The cottage has everything you'll need for a pleasant stay, and is very convenient if you plan on visiting Block Island, because the Ferry Station is a short walk from the cottage. The only thing you have to remember is to bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper, because the Ferries do honk their horns pretty early in the morning to signal it's arrival and departure, and the seagulls do squawk excitedly for the fish. Galilee is after all a fishing port.

The cottage had everything we needed and was very clean. But the location is perfect. The beach is so close, so are the restaurants, my 15 yr old grandson could go fishing anytime, we jumped on the ferry to Block Island. In other words, a perfect vacation.

Relaxing Get-a-way
This place is Awesome. This is our 3rd year in a row renting. It's always very clean when we arrive. The house is so close to the beach that you can go set up your stuff and return to the house anytime without having to take your stuff with you. The Mgrs are very nice and easy to deal with, though we never had any issues to even call them. We love our time there!

Location, location, location! We had an incredible vacation. Waking up to the ferry horn and strolling down to Salty Brine beach, followed by clam cakes at George’s makes for a perfect summer day. Bob and Donna are experienced hosts, so no issues there. We can’t wait to book for next year.

Summer 2019 with the kids
We had an amazing 2 weeks in Rhode Island. My 3 kids (11, 10, and 6) and I loved the area. This rental is your quintessential New England cottage. Not a ton of square footage, but plenty for our family! We very much enjoyed the outside shower and the beach wagon that was there worked perfect for the short walk to Salty Brine beach. We had a few issues early in the stay, but Bob was in touch and got the addresses! The cottage is also close to so many restaurants and the Block Island Ferry! We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation!

It was so close to the beautiful beach and amazing restaurants. Everything was kid friendly. We all slept comfortably. The outdoor shower was perfect for returning from the beach. Perfect little hideaway
This house was our greatest find. We haven't been on vacation in years and this was such a great way to start one. It is so close to the beach that you can leave your beach stuff and walk back for lunches or what have you. It was very clean and welcoming when we arrived. We love it so much that we are going to rent again next year.
