The main square of west Vinohrady is "Náměstí Míru" (Peace Square) with Prague 2 town hall, Vinohrady Theatre, Gothic Revival Saint Ludmila Church (Josef Mocker, 1892) and a station of A metro line. In the central part of Vinohrady near Vinohradská street, there lies "náměstí Jiřího z Poděbrad" (George of Poděbrady Square) with a modern "Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord" by Jože Plečnik built in 1932. There are several parks in Vinohrady. Havlíčkovy sady (literally Havlíček's Orchards) is the Prague's second-largest park. There is Villa Gröbe that served as summer house of the nobility, it is inspired by Italian Renaissance suburban villas and is surrounded by vineyards still in production founded by Charles IV in the second half of the 14th century. Vineyards and Vineyard summerhouse were at the end of the 20th century started to deteriorate, but were renewed and now has an area of 1.7 hectares and annually produces 4,000 liters of wine. There are grown varieties of Müller Thurgau, Rhine Riesling, Dornfelder, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, and since 1997 there annually happen "Vinohrady vintage celebrations" (usually in September). In the north-west part of Vinohrady, near Italská street, there is Riegrovy sady (Rieger's Orchards) with Vinohrady Sokol House and a large outdoor restaurant. Folimanka Park is situated at the Vinohrady side of Nusle Valley under large Nusle Bridge. Smaller parks are situated in central Vinohrady: sady Svatopluka Čecha (Svatopluk Čech's Orchards) near Vinohradská street, Bezručovy sady (Petr Bezruč's Orchards) between Slezská and Francouzská street) and parks at all main Vinohrady squares. We had a terrific time in Prague. Maury was a fantastic host. Meet us at 10 PM and spent time explaining everything about the Apartment. The neighborhood is great, with many places to eat and visit. It was an easy walk to the Main area of Prague or use the fantastic transit system. Terrific Host for our stay.
4.8
Prague is a capital city and has the intensity of one. It was nice to be staying with real Czechs and not in the tourist bubble. The transit system is free to people over 65 and easy to use.
Maury gives full and accurate info about the apartment and Prague in the Vrbo posting and his letter but he does not reprint that info in the flat and he resents if you haven’t read it as I hadn’t!
There is a pleasant balcony looking on to the gardens in the middle of the block. The apartment is quiet, comfortable and easy to use.
4.8
We enjoyed our stay in the flat and in Prague very much.

Enjoyed our 3 days at the apartment. Very easy to get to downtown Prague and a nice neighborhood. Clean, well-appointed place. Maury, the host was very attentive and helpful.
4.8
The simplicity and location of the property was a great match for us and our military son who was meeting us in Prague over the weekend. The flat was great for the family, the extra room was perfect for him, and the location of the flat gave us quick access to old town and public transportation, and yet kept us away from the swarm of people.
The owners were exceptional (especially Maury), communicated very well with us with very detailed and helpful instructions and tips, and were excellent hosts.
4.8
Overall, the apartment suited our needs. Maury met us and explained washer and apartment set up. Good communication especially for transportation (metro/tram). Good restaurants nearby (Johnny’s Pizza Bar and Pho Vietnam Tuan &Lan - both excellent). Tesco Express for groceries. I loved the enclosed balcony as I could see New Year’s fireworks and enjoy morning tea.The beds were uncomfortable and pillows had no support to the. One bed very low to the ground. The fitted sheets need updating (old and pilling). The duvet and cover were fine. Towels were adequate. The sink sponge had been used by others so I did not use (used paper towels instead). Would have liked a second trash bag for kitchen trash and there were no trash bags for the bathroom. We couldn’t get the TV to work ( we did not ask for Maury to review this with us upon arrival ). The washer worked well but was not a clothes dryer as well which was my interpretation from the apt description so used a drying rack. Tried to take kitchen trash out the morning we left but the trash cans were gone (assumed trash collector was nearby but never saw them so trash went back to apartment). Couch and chairs were comfortable but old. Overall great location. We never did contact Maury because we chose not to.

Great location and loved the neighborhood. Very easy to get around with metro 2 blocks away and very easy to use. Also easy walk to so many things. Prague was beautiful and our family loved it.
4.8
Maury was a wonderful host, everything was as advertised. Highly recommend this property.
4.8
Big rooms for four people. Kitchen well equipped. Located in the 5th floor - via elevator - you have a nice view to the roofs but not onto the city. Only the roof windows need a soon maintenance. They could be more sound-absorbing, but anyway we had a good sleep. Very close to public transport.
4.8
Lovely apartment. Next to the metro. The Italian restaurant was good up the road. Would stay here again.
4.8
We enjoyed our stay in Prague. The apartment was in a location accessible to multiple modes of transportation which made getting to places easier. It was comfortable and had the basic amenities.
For the price point it was a good bargain. The host was pleasant and responsive.

the vrbo did not look as nice as the pictures. It seemed more drab. Issues we found. No washclothes just yo wash our faces. It was warm, but there was no top sheet. So we were stuck with the hot comforter to use at night. Only 2 pillows, one for each bedroom. And these pillows have seen better days. Only one trashcan liner, so we had to get our own bags to use for trash. And, only 3 rolls of toilet paper for 2 people for 6 1/2 days.
The refrigerator and freezer and washing machine were the best part of the vrbo and location.
Been to Spain, Italy, Budapest and others and all of them, I believe were better vrbos. The communication between owners and us before renting was good.
4.8
Great location and lovely flat, but the best part is Maury! Could not as for a better host! Would definitely come back.
4.8
Everything was as promised. The apartment is very nice and conveniently located close to trams and metro stations. Maury was very thorough with the check in. Note: Vrbo replaces app names in emails with ——————. WhatsApp is the easiest way to communicate between international smart phones.
4.8
The communication with the owner was amazing and he wanted so much to make us happy. The property itself is a bit dated and worn. The main bed was super low and not very comfortable. It was advertised as 5-10 minutes from old town but was at least 15 minutes. It was close to grocery stores and a few restaurants if you choose to stay in the area. Prague is expensive so this was overall pretty well priced for what you got.
4.8
The location was perfect! My only recommendation is the place could use some art on the walls.
4.8
My husband and I found this flat to be an excellent place to stay while visiting Prague. Many sights in the city are within an easy walk. Public transit is close by for excursions a bit farther away. The flat was exactly as advertised. It was clean and well equipped. Maury was very helpful, meeting us at the flat when we arrived and giving us a tour of the flat so ee knew where everything was. Maury responded to all my questions before arrival very promptly and provided good suggestions when asked about things like restaurants to try. I would not hesitate to recommend this flat to friends travelling to Prague.
4.8
This flat was in the perfect location to get around the heart of Prague. It is within walking distance of the Old Town but is also just around the corner from the Metro and tram systems which we used frequently. The flat itself was clean with a well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. Our host was very friendly, helpful, accessible and flexible. I would highly recommend this flat.
4.8
Maury met us at the apartment as promised and explained everything to us. There are many restaurants and sightseeing opportunities. Wenceslas Square is in easy reach by the metro but lots of walking afterwards. If you are touring the castle wear proper footwear for traversing cobblestones as there are many! The walk down the hill is not for those with mobility issues. Only downside to the apartment is no air conditioning and it was very hot and humid.
4.8
Conveniently located, clean, and well-stocked flat
This flat was very convenient to public transport, restaurants, and stores. The owner was friendly, thorough, helpful, and a good communicator. The flat itself was clean and what we expected. Having a lift/elevator to reach the floor the flat was on was really wonderful. We really enjoyed our time in Prague and appreciated having a good place to stay.
4.8
The apartment was perfect for us- 2 adults and 2 Teenagers. Very clean, everything we needed and a great location. We traveled by car and Maury helped us find a nearby parking garage- no problem at all. He gave us other great tips about the city and was very available (although we didn’t need him). Prague is a great city, would definitely stay here again.

Happy Prague visitors.
We enjoyed staying in this very nice quiet apartment near old town. Maury couldn't have been kinder to us. He helped orient us with information on bus numbers and stations which made it very easy for us to feel comfortable in a new city. He responded to all inquiries in a warm and generous manner. Thank you again for your hospitality.

Beautiful apartment in perfect location
The apartment was perfect - very comfortable bed, great water pressure, very secure, excellent WiFi, and the perfect location.
Close to metro and tram stops, but also very walkable to all the major sights. In a ‘real’ neighborhood with great restaurants and pubs.
Communication, check in etc was very easy.
I highly recommend this property!!!

Namesti Maru’s Best
Namesti Maru offers a residential feel with many commercial offerings, including restaurants, bars, shops, and excellent public transportation access. Mauricio’s apartment met all our needs, and his personal management made for a very comfortable and easy stay. Our friends who chose nearby hotels were not nearly offered as much. We’ve stayed in many vrbos in several countries, and Mauricio and his NM penthouse is great! Our fantastic trip to Prague was partly due to our arrangements with him, and we’re already talking about returning!

This was a great place to stay. The location was ideal, quieter than main tourist areas but plenty of local restaurants, bars and shops and near to trams and metro stations. It was also easy to walk to Wenceslas Square and beyond.
The apartment was comfortable and well equipped and Antonio was very helpful, particularly in enabling a late checkout on our final day due to our evening flight home.
We would highly recommend a visit to Prague, to this area and to this apartment and we would stay here again if we return to Prague.
