DISCOUNT FOR ALL REMAINING 2022 DATES. Just Ask. Canto del Mar is noted for having an excellent location with stunning ocean views overlooking Playa Dominicalito including a private patio pool. The expansive ocean view includes some of the best characteristics in the country looking out to Punta Dominical, watching surfers enjoying the dependable white-water playground, Tree Island in the distance and the entire Playa Dominicalito Bay. The well-maintained 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath Villa has a fully functional kitchen and dining area including a large outside covered deck for outside dinning, afternoon cocktails, gorgeous sunsets and a perfect place to remember the day as nighttime arrives. With plenty of outdoor seating and dining space plus a pass-through window from the kitchen to the patio, it is perfect for entertaining and spending time outside. Additionally, each bedroom has its own small balcony and bathroom plus there is a small common area downstairs. The two master bedroom suites are equally sized with a queen in one bedroom and two twins in the other. The Villa comfortably fits one family or 2 couples and has private parking with 24-hour security. The open floor plan upstairs with tiled floors and high ceiling includes a couple ceiling fans to augment the tropical breezes should you decide not to use the air conditioner. The bedrooms and laundry are located on the lower level separated by a small common area .
Every room has large glass sliding doors to enjoy the view and the ocean breeze keeps all rooms comfortable so that the A/C is usually not required. A fully equipped Kitchen with an electric stove, Self cleaning oven, Stainless refrigerator, Microwave, Coffee maker, and all your basic cooking pans and utensils allows for staying home to enjoy the property. With a full size washer and dryer you can pack light. If you choose to go out for meals, there are several of the finest local restaurants just minutes away. To start their day out right, many guests like to walk the beach to Por Que No for breakfast. The Villa is fully furnished and includes cable TV along with dependable cable WiFi internet. You can be in close touch with family and friends back home to torture them with photos of your daily adventures. At night the prevailing cooler breezes are constant, originating from the highest peaks in the country located inland from Dominical. The trees around the villa are visited by Toucans and the occasional sloth while Monkey’s howl in the distance. The excellent location allows you to walk a short distance to the beach, a local waterfall/swimming hole and a primary jungle hike located on the top ridge adjacent to the property. Easy directions from SJO are provided and I can assist with your transportation needs including car rental, van service and suggesting regional flight arrangements. If you have several groups, we are able to provide additional nearby villas with or without pools. May consider 4 adults and up to two children depending on ages. Ask us about discounts for reservations less than 20 days out. Our daily rates are reduced for longer stays. Want to stay for 3 months or more, let’s talk.

You'll know you've made a good choice as soon as you open the door, trust me. The host have been very responsive and also provided us with tons of valuable information about what to do/see in the area.

The villas were lovely and the view breathtaking. Dave was fantastic. There was a sewage issue in this unit which caused dirty water to back up in showers and on the floor. Dave had it cleaned quickly and when it happened a second time he upgraded us at no charge to another villa. Overall we were happy and would definitely stay again.

Dave was amazing! SOO accommodating, great communication and the place was gorgeous. The house was spotless, view was 5 star, and it had every amenity and necessity you’re could need to make the place feel like a home. I highly recommend this place to all types for your trip to Dominical!

One important note about this entire complex - not just this unit. If you are not at the very top of this complex, (17 is not at the top) you will clearly hear the semi-trucks during the day and especially at night - making it hard to enjoy the sounds of nature. The main highway is right below this area.

Great views from pretty much everywhere, nice indoor and outdoor spaces with your own grill and private pool. Great owner who is easy to work with. Will definitely stay here again. Note: I recommend 4x4 for this property and to explore this part of Costa Rica.

My husband, 14 y/o son and I stayed at this villa for five days, and loved every minute of it. It's convenient to the Dominicalito beach, and close to Dominical, with good restaurants, surfing lessons, and another good beach. Dave was very attentive. We had a problem with the air conditioner in one room, and were amazed that a repair person came out almost immediately to fix it. The recommendations in the villa's binder were spot-on, and we recommend: * Manuel Antonio, about an hour away * Sunset Surf for surfing lessons * Fuego Brew Co. * Phat Noodle * Reptilandia for snakes, turtles, lizards * Pozo Azul waterfall * The Jolly Roger for burgers and wings When we return to Costa Rica, we hope the villa is available again.

Nice home; very comfortable; grill worked well; pool was fun; a/c could have been stronger in 1 bedroom - but was sufficient. Washer/Dryer did the job. A few additional condiments in the kitchen would be helpful to other guests (and a spare supply of toilet paper upon arrival). Would stay here again.

The Dominicalito Beach was great and so close! We went to the beach to swim and surf everyday. We found the patio was our families favorite space to spend most days and eat our meals. Then a dip or 2 in the pool to cool off. The view from the minute you enter the front door to every room is spectacular. Really ever detail of the villa was great. Also, you can see the ocean from every room! The view of Dominicalito never got old! Watching the surfers, fishing boats, paragliders, birds and the nice tropical breeze was wonderful. A toucan came right to the tree just off the patio one morning. My son and I saw a monkey right by villa on are way down to beach the second morning. A car with 4x4 is essential, the road is very steep and rough. It was a short walk down to the beach, but the uphill return would be very hot & difficult for most. The villa complex is built on a steep hill above the main coastal highway. There are great restaurants & very nice grocery store close by. Our favorite restaurant was Roca Verde because they had live music Friday nights. It was a lot of fun for the kids and us! Por Que No was also great for sunset sitting at the bar. Best dinner by far was Ylang Ylang in nearby Ojochal. Schedule an early AM nature hike at Hacienda Baru. We saw toucans, sloths, monkeys, wild pigs, lizards, and a variety of other birds. Also, the horse ride to the Nauyaca waterfall was amazing and a lot of fun!
