About this house rental
Claim your slice of paradise and spend a carefree vacation in a quaint setting on the hill overlooking Philipsburg (see video; picture 3/24). Built in 1912, the Huffman house displays it original charm with inspiring views of the Anaconda range and Flint Creek valley. The house has a fully-equipped kitchen with filtered cold tap water in the kitchen and bathroom, along with new appliances including dishwasher, garbage, microwave, disposal, and heated floor in the bathroom. When not enjoying the outdoors, log on to the Wi-Fi network to contact friends and family, or watch the local television stations or Netflix. There is a telephone for local calls, washer-dryer in the basement, iron and ironing board in the closet, hair dryer in the bathroom, and a new barbecue grill on the back deck. Relax on an inviting front porch gazing at the Anaconda Pintler Wilderness, while imaging the view during the silver mining boom of the 1880s. Our property is smoke-free, so please enjoy the view from the back deck or front porch while smoking.
The Huffman house is a 2 minute (0.3 mile) walk to main street, where you will find restaurants, shops selling everything from local sapphires to candy, a brew pub, and during the winter months a skating and ice hockey rink. From the house there is immediate access to hiking and mountain biking trails in to the Flint Creek Range, and it is a short drive to Granite ghost town, Georgetown Lake and Discovery Ski area. For a longer adventure follow the 40-mile Philipsburg Valley Scenic Loop, 8 miles of which follows Rock Creek famous for world-class fly fishing. Philipsburg is located near the halfway-point between Yellowstone (201 miles) and Glacier (205 miles) National Parks. Come spend a night, weekend week or more in this peaceful setting on the hill in Philipsburg.

We had a great time. The home was great for family dinners, and relaxing on the front porch (need two more porch chairs). It would have been nice to have a private 3rd bedroom. We love it. Hope to stay again. Thank you.

Great house on the hill and owner responsive to questions.
Kitchen has everything you would need. We had a power outage back home and could not food prep until we arrived but found we had everything we needed!
Will come back for sure!

The house is cozy and clean. There was everything we needed and more. The owner left us a gift, very sweet of them. I loved the house and the views and the town. The deer are abundant, got to see them everyday. Only downside and may be an oversight, but the house is 2 bedrooms, not 3 as listed. Also, the games and puzzles need updating, lots of missing pieces.

Quaint and clean historic old home just on the edge of the main downtown street of Philipsburg in a quiet neighborhood. It was great being able to come with our dog (but fence is not very tall so medium/large dog that likes to escape could easily jump over). Beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom and kitchen were clean and modern.

Wonderful views. Had all you need for kitchen utensils and supplies. Very nice inside. Very relaxing away from hustle and bustle. Homey. Comfortable.
Some points;
Had a number of spiders in house.
Back porch would be nice with table and chairs.
Some decking and rails on west porch need to be replaced.
Road rough.
Double/full bed could use a new mattress
Queen was great.
Would be nice to add more counter space, maybe a roll around butcher block unit with shelving/storage for kitchen for things renters bring with.

Stayed here with my two sisters. Our mother and many close relatives grew up here. We remember the Huffman Grocery and the family that ran it from our childhood visits here. The house is charming and updated very tastefully. Small problem with front door lock but the Host promptly responded and took care of us. The VRBO listing reads 3 bedrooms but there are 2 as it states in the detailed description. Would definitely consider staying here again.

My husband, myself, and our dog, stayed at Teri’s place from mid-July to mid-August, and had a great time. Philipsburg is a charming town, and we loved the house and the fabulous front porch. Teri is a great host.
Regulating the temperature in the house wasn’t a problem. We closed it up in the morning and opened it up after the sun went down and the temp dropped. There are fans for the warmer days. The cool mornings were fantastic.
The fenced yard was good for our dog, but there are gaps around the gates that a small or motivated dog could exploit. We didn’t have any problems, beyond our dog chasing deer away from the fence. 🙃 One nearby neighbor who was rarely there and very nice.
The brewery is great, as is the Creamery and the new Porter’s Corner Cafe. I found everything I needed at the grocery store in town. I recommend kayaking on Georgetown Lake and exploring the Echo Lake Trail system.
The location is very walkable to downtown, but the hill back up is steep! Good cardio.
We would stay again if we’re in the area.

Classic turn of the century home
A classic older home on a hilltop in Phillipsburg with great views of the surrounding area. The property manager Scott was extremely helpful, made check in a breeze and was quick to supply necessary items. It is well-kept for an older home and fairly well appointed. As with any older home, there were some areas on the exterior of the home that needed maintenance and repairs. The lawn was a little long in the tooth as well and grooming around The house needed attention. The arrival amenities from the owner were most welcoming. It was great to sit on the porch in a rocking chair and view the peaceful surrounding countryside in the evenings. If you like a home with traditional rooms, high ceilings, molding around the doors and ceilings and the classic older look, this place was perfect.

Winter Break in Philipsburg
This house had everything we needed to enjoy our time in Philipsburg. The house was clean, the beds were comfy, the kitchen had all the necessities and some extras. The location allowed our kids to walk to the ice rink and candy store and feel independent while exploring! We chose this house because it is conveniently located to local family and will use it again on return visits.

Wonderful House and Location
This house is totally wonderful! The location and view cannot be beat! The only reason we didn't provide a 5 star rating is the mattresses. They were awful. In fact, we left a night early because they were so bad. That was the only reason we left early. If the mattresses were replaced, the house would be totally perfect. I also want to say that the owner and the manager were absolutely wonderful. Helpful and easy to get in touch with.

Wonderful vacation rental
Great little vacation rental with amazing views of surrounding mountains and valley. The house is cute, cozy, and very comfortable. The queen bed in master was so comfortable- best sleep I have gotten in a very long time. Will definitely stay there again.

Sweet Gem
Labelled this sweet gem, so you can tell we liked it. Would return. Thank you Teri for letting us rent your house, a wonderful stay.
Location was excellent, nice, hilltop with view. Front covered porch and view - awesome! Only a few blocks from main town. What's not to like about that. In town, but not. Wildlife (deer) in garden every morning. Kitchen well sized , nicely equipped, good water, ice, everything we needed and a few extras. Living room comfortable, TV good size , books, (esp. local ones) ,games nice touch. Nice bathroom, shower and tub, supplies, lip balm (thx). Beds were very comfortable, with perfect amount of linens and pillows.
E.asy checkin and out appreciated. We came during wildfire season. House stayed warm all night, couldn't open windows, so larger airflow would've been a benefit in this particular situation, ie ceiling fan in bedroom or large standups.

Lovely Stay
Such a quaint home in a lovely small town. We had a great stay, the house was stocked with everything we needed, and our dogs loved the yard. We enjoyed the views from the porch and also had fun exploring the area. The local brewery (Philipsburg Brewing Co) was one of our favorites we visited on our trip across Montana. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

My family had a great trip to this well-located house. We loved visiting the shops in Philipsburg, and launching off to outdoor adventures in the surrounding areas. House was clean and warm. Has a great rustic mountain town feel but was still very clean and modernized. The property caretakers also responded quickly to any question and were very helpful. Great place to explore Phillipsburg from!

Exceptional House of the Hill
The check in was seamless, the property spotless, the location the best. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything you would need. The fenced yard was a pleasant surprise, however there were a few gaps that an escape artist could take advantage of. The view is very nice and the porch welcoming. I can't wait to stop here again. The hosts went out of their way to make our stay pleasant.

Lovely home. Nice town!
Be aware that the town IS very small. The house was great and comfortable— but I do recommend picking up groceries and cooking rather than hitting the restaurants. Because of COVID, the town does have limited dining. But, the kitchen is comfortable to cook in and has EVERYTHING you need! Would absolutely stay here again.

Awesome Location
The view from this property is awesome. What’s not to like about looking at snow-capped mountains every morning? The space was roomy and had all the utensils/supplies we needed. The fact that the town of Philipsburg was walking distance from the house made the stay even better. We spent lots of time in town.
