Charlie’s place is amazing, peaceful, beautiful and exactly as described. Charlie makes the stay easy, and we plan to come back again!

The beauty and sound of the river flowing beside the cabin was mesmerizing and so relaxing! The perfect location as we were in easy driving distance of Estes park and took advantage of several hiking opportunities. It's not everyday that you can walk down a city street/golf course and see a herd of Elk walking by! We loved this place! Charlie was an excellent host!

Charlie had everything covered and then some!! The cabin is clean and very comfortable. The location can’t be beat!!! Crack the windows and the music of the water will fill your rooms. You won’t have to go far to find wildlife or hiking spots! I could go on forever. We can’t wait to come back!!

It has not been 48 hours since we left the cabin and I am longing to return. You are completely away from city life in a rural environment in the Rockies.
We have photos of hummingbirds at feeders outside the kitchen window, the Middle St Vrain River rushing past the cabin, we loved the smell of pine, and the sounds of a variety of birds.
The host is an exceptionally nice man who loves the environment and knows the area well.

Charlie's place is in a beautiful setting, on the banks of the St. Vrain river. The two bedrooms overlook the water, and the sound lulls you to sleep. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked, all the basics and everything you would need to cook for several people. Living room and beds were very comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the patio down by the river, relaxing and watching hummingbirds. Charlie is one of those people you immediately like, very welcoming and eager to tell you about the local nature and area.

Charlie’s cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It is a simple and peaceful place to relax in the mountains along the Saint Vrain. The cabin is one of the cleanest, and Charlie was very attentive and helpful with any issues that arose. We would love to visit again!

This was a delightful place to be -- away from everything. We enjoyed unwinding and the beautiful surroundings. Charlie was a warm and responsive host. We would definitely stay there again!

We thoroughly enjoyed this place especially the patio that overlooks the mountain stream and the many hummingbirds that visit the feeders. This place is a real mountain retreat while still close to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.

;Charlie was right there to meet us with a smile. We toured the cabin and he gave us check in and out information. The setting is just beautiful, The little creek that runs just behind the cabin is so peaceful to sit by. Enjoyed out beer and wine out there. Charlie was available if we needed him, which we did not, except for directions to places. Would definitely recommend this cabin.

Overall, Charlie was a nice man who we only spoke with twice. He gave us full privacy. We wanted to say goodbye but didn't want to disturb him. He lives right there bu the cabin.
This cabin is perfect! Best location. Right in the moutains. The water behind the cabin was so pretty and peacful to listen to. Sitting on the back patio right by it, nothing was better. I'm already planning a trip back to this location. We had everything we need. This is the perfect place. Get all you need in the city before heading out. Stay in the mountains the entire trip and explore. You will not regret this experience. Thank you Charlie for sharing your property with us.

Wonderful, rustic cabin, right on the creek in Peaceful Valley, away from the hustle and bustle of Estes Park but still close to RMNP.
Host is wonderful and accommodating; can’t say enough good things. Very peaceful getaway.

Charlie lives on the property but we never saw or heard him and we might as well have been there all alone. Although close to the highway and a few other cabins, the vegetation and constant song of the creek created a peaceful seclusion.
The cabin was great: very clean, functional and well-stocked but unassuming and comfortable. The creek wraps around two sides of the house and the patio is a perfect place to watch animals and birds. Among others we saw Mink, a Western Tanager, a Flycatcher and one night we heard coyotes calling nearby.
Charlie is an appealing host and we look forward to getting to know him better on future visits.

This was our second year here and it was just as peaceful and quaint as we remember. The river behind the cabin is the perfect place to be immersed in nature and be away from all of the busyness of Estes Park.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Charlie’s house. We loved to sit on the patio early morning and drink our coffee listening to the creek. Charlie made everything super easy for us! We can’t wait until next time!

My husband and I along with our 2 boys had the pleasure of staying at Mr Charlie's cabin last week. The location is outstanding. We loved that it's right next to the St Vrain creek. We kept the windows open so we could hear the rushing of the water. Having coffee by the creek in the mornings was the perfect way to start the day. The cabin is quaint and vintage, but well-stocked. Mr Charlie was very gracious and welcoming and lives on site, but gave us our space. He was the perfect host! Thanks again from the Prices!

Within 10 minutes of checking in, we saw a moose in the back of the house by the creek. We counted 12 humming birds at once in the front with constant humming birds coming and going to feed. The beds were very comfortable and kitchen had all we needed. We met Charlie and he was great with the kids and greeted us if he was on the property. Friendly, but also gave us space for our family time.

Great property for exploring RMNP and surrounding areas, or just relaxing and enjoying nature. We loved the peacefulness of the property and listening to the creek at night. The hummingbirds were an extra special treat as was the moose that wondered in the area one morning. The owner, Charlie, was very helpful and great to talk to. If you're worried about him being on site - don't! You will have all the privacy you want. The kitchen has everything you will need - from spices to pots and pans, he thought of everything. It became a joke - do you think he has a (fill in the blank) and sure enough - he did! Thank you for sharing your lovely piece of paradise with us - it was a welcome relief from the hustle and bustle (and heat) of Florida. Can't wait until we can come back again.

What a wonderful cabin. Every room has a view of aspens and evergreens. You pull in and here the sounds of the river below and you immediately feel your tension ease away. We had a peaceful stay.

Great location - close to RMNP, hiking trails, and situated right on the melodious river. Owner was very friendly when we needed but otherwise we didn’t see him and felt like we had privacy. We hiked, cooked, played games and watched movies. A perfect reunion! Thank you Charlie!!

We enjoyed the quiet time sitting along the creek along the proprty. The cabin was very close to the Wild Basin area and close enough to Estes Park to enjoy RMNP/Bear Lake property. This place was perfect for a private getaway in the woods with convenient access to nearby points of interest. I would definitely stay here again if I return to the area!

This location proved to be perfect for exploring RMNP, Roosevelt, and Arapaho National Forests. Hidden on the banks of the St. Vrain, you can't go wrong here! Rustic yet modern, quiet and comfortable, too. Excellent local food choices just minutes away. Cabin is well equipped and maintained. We needed nothing! Enjoying morning coffee on the patio situated on the bank of the St. Vrain was a special treat. Recommended!

My husband and I had a great time staying in this cabin while we visited and hiked RMNP. Much appreciated the quiet peacefulness versus the hustle and bustle of Estes Park. To us it was well worth the little extra driving with the stunning views to get to RMNP. Would definitely stay again!

Our cabin was very clean and well stocked. We loved being able to leave the windows open and listen to the babbling brook. Nicely secluded. Felt safe. Our host lives on the property, very welcoming but not intrusive. Enjoyed the quite.

We loved our trip to Allenspark CO. Charlie was helpful, there when we needed him and not when we didn't. Lots we could do around and see. The creek wrapping around the property gave us the sound of water all day and all night to fall asleep with. I'd recommend this for a simple mountain getaway for sure.

The cabin itself was adequate and the kitchen was well stocked, but what we will remember about our stay is the lovely location. It is right on the edge of the St. Vrain and you can sit on the patio next to the water. You can hear the water rushing if you open the windows in the cabin. We saw over a hundred hummingbirds during our four night stay. It was an idyllic spot. The host was friendly and helpful as well.

First time here in Colorado and I am so glad that we found this place! Me and my wife are from nashville and haven't had this sort of privacy in a while. Cabin was spotless when we arrived, and well stocked. Everything was clearly labeled and easy to find. Wifi was surprisingly good. The outdoor area by the creek was beautiful and so relaxing. Perfect little slice of paradise to escape to in the Rocky Mountains! It was so nice to be out of the big city and somewhere so tranquil. Reasonably close to everything. Easy access on paved roads in the summer.
Very comfortable and accommodating. Would absolutely recommend!

Breathtaking location on the Middle St. Vrain River and a great homebase to explore the areas and communities near the Rocky Mountain National Park! The platform next to the river provided natural entertainment and flyfishing. Great place for peace and tranquility! Charlie is very accommodating and just a friendly person to talk to. Thanks for sharing your little piece of paradise with my family.

It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The best part was the good size patio right on the rushing rapids of Middle St Vrain river. Lots of bird watching too.

Our staff was fantastic. The cabin sits by a mountain river. It’s rustic and brings back so many thoughts of the past. Can’t wait to go again but longer!

The cabin was very clean and had everything you needed. We loved the creek and listening to it. The thing that made us uncomfortable was the owner was right next to us in his camper. We didn’t feel like we had privacy.
