A Little Gem

This place is a little gem. Very comfy and clean. Great location, right next to the canal with a lovely walking path to a lovely little pub 20 minutes walk away. The views across the valley are spectacular. Great breakfast every morning to set you up for a day of exploring this beautiful area. Having parking was great too. Sid was so very helpful with all sorts of maps available for walks in the area. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Würden wir gerne wieder buchen und empfehlen es weiter

Die Auswahl des Frühstücks war groß und es war ausgezeichnet. Die Lage der Unterkunft hat uns sehr gefallen und narürlich das gepflegte Farmhaus. Viele Ziele im Brecon NP waren gut zu erreichen. Ein sehr freundlicher, hilfsbereiter Vermieter!

The cutest loveliest place!

A stunning location for a very quaint,clean and pretty place to stay. The room was so beautiful and the breakfast super tasty. Gorgeous walks up and down the canal. Sid was very helpful with suggestions on things to see and do also.

We felt comfortable and well taken care of, we couldn't ask for more.

Loved the location, views, access to walks around the Brecon Beacons, and our breakfasts were always excellent. Our host was very helpful (especially for making recommendations for restaurants and places to visit). The accomodation was also equipped with a dry room which is really useful after a hike in the rain.

Perfect short break where we felt completely at home.

Beautiful surroundings. Quiet and restorative. Welcoming, tasteful, comfortable and clean. Breakfast at a choice of times to suit us. Plenty of options and also happy to cook other variations. Delicious.

Beautiful location, Nice accommodation, and very nice hosts.

The B&B was lovely, the location was very beautiful and the breakfast was good.

It would be nice to have some form of transportation close by to travel into town. You can walk, it takes about 20 minutes, muddy if raining. It was a nice walk along the water.

Gorgeous setting and wonderful stay.

What a beautiful place and what a friendly delightful owner. Such a pleasure to stay here. Thank you so much to them for looking after us and being so helpful and generous.

Alas we need a slightly bigger bed nowadays. Absolutely not the fault of the hotel but because of my husbands sleep apnea machine we just can’t cope with a normal double anymore.

Close to many national parks this is a great location to visit Breacon Beacons and Waterfall country.

the magical setting, the comfortable bed and the copious delicious breakfast. It looks way better in real than in the pictures.

Comfortable and very memorable stay

Rachel and Sid run this privately owned B&B Present in a beautiful location. With views of the mountains and a canal running along side the property. The room has been very cosy and we had a lovely time. The host were exceptional, very inspired by what they do.

The steps up to the 2nd floor in the B&B were very narrow on one end due to it being circular and difficult carrying up our luggage. Was very careful in walking up and down.

I can’t say enough about how lovely this property is!

The breakfast was excellent and the breakfast-room was so beautifully presented! Sid and Rachel were amazing hosts and provided us with many area sightseeing ideas. The countryside and family marina at the Ty Newydd B & B was better than the best!! I will recommend this wonderful vacation home to all my family and friends as a Must STAY for beauty and elegance. We were seeing the countryside of my ancestors from Wales. It has been the high point of our entire trip! We are intending to come back and stay another time and explore even more of the Brecon National park.

Relaaaax in country Wales.

It provided exactly the peace and quiet I was craving. Picturesque, on a canal. Welcoming hosts provided wonderful breakfasts. (They have self catering cottages too, but I like the pampering). Easy parking. Close to Brecon Beacons, and a couple of excellent pubs. Room 1 had expansive views, very comfy double bed, plenty of room.

I’d check you’re in Room 1 or 2, because the stairs get a bit hairy up to 3 and 4. They kindly moved me down when they saw the difficulty I was having. I’d like much brighter bed reading lights - I find this everywhere.

Best B&B

Everything. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Also very helpful after seeing my boyfriend all wet after falling in the river. The room was so nice, clean and cosy and we felt so good in there that we didn't want to leave. We had very beautiful views from our room and we enjoyed them a lot. The breakfast was also outstanding and we asked were we could buy the sausages they were serving, because we wanted to bring some of them back home with us. Highly recommend and definitely will be coming back!

Excellent location, very nice place, I would recommend it.

The location is really beautiful with views across the hills both from our room and from breakfast, with a lovely garden and the canal basin nearby. You can walk along the canal right from the door, and there are plenty of walks within a short car trip. The room was comfortable and clean. It was also really quiet which is a rare quality. Breakfast was great, especially as we got the table in the conservatory.

Just perfect for our needs.

From the moment we arrived we were treated as part of the family. Where Ty Newydd was situated, by the canal and with uninterrupted views of the Brecon Beacons, was absolutely perfect. The breakfasts set us up for the day and our host couldn't have been more helpful when we asked for instructions to find off the beaten track locations. Ideal for experienced walkers and those less ambitious.
