About this cabin rental
Cozy, Romantic, Secluded 1,400 square-foot, log cabin located one mile from Downtown Steamboat Springs. Bordering national forest lands, you do not have any visible neighbors--just beautiful woods all around you with a bubbling creek right outside your door. In the summer hiking and biking trails can be accessed just feet away and in the winter the same trails turn into a cross county skiing and snowshoeing paradise.
Cabin is two stories high including a full size kitchen with a wrap-around deck over looking your own private creek. The Cabin is also equipped with a full size bath room and full size washer and dryer. Dryer has a sanitizing cycle for your protection. On the main floor there is a cozy living area for watching movies, reading books, sleeping on the queen size sofa bed or just sitting by the cozy wood burning stove. Tv provided with Roku for some limited tv, Enjoy the DVD player with a selection of DVD's for adults and kids. A great selection of games is available for family fun. High speed internet is available for your computer for work or play.
The main sleeping area is located on the second floor where there are two bedrooms. One bedroom with four single beds and a separate loft room with a queen size bed. Two of the single beds are often pushed together to make a king bed in the " bunk room". Open the windows in either room and you can hear the water from the creek down below. The best sleeping pill, ever!
Kids and adults love the rustic beauty of this hand built log cabin on a live stream. We are friendly to approved pets and are just steps away from a great off leash park. As well as a short walk to main street Steamboat. We are surrounded by dedicated park and enjoy wild life year round, and a lack of neighbors.
The cabin is appropriate for families and 1 or 2 couples. Big singles groups will find the bed
and single bath situation challenging. We are “refined rustic”, small and quaint and fully equipped for relaxation, family fun, and remote work.
Do not miss your opportunity to enjoy some of the greatest skiing in the world at Steamboat Ski Resort which is located only a few miles away. Or drive downtown to play at Howelson Ski Area day or night . The cabin is close to ample shopping and many great local restaurants. Do not miss your chance to book one of Steamboat's most iconic and unique Log Cabins. This rustic little jewel can be your 'little bit of heaven' in summer or in winter. Contact us today!

Nice cozy cabin in a very quiet area. Enjoyed the stay and the surrounding Steamboat Springs Area. The cabin had all the amenities one might want, which made they stay as comfortable as home.

My wife and have recently stayed at this nice and cozy cabin. All we can say is that it was a great experience, we both enjoyed it and loved it! The owner was really nice and really took time to pass additional information about the cabin and town. We highly recommend this cabin. Thank you, for the great hospitality!

My husband and I (and our dog) stayed for 3 nights, at this lovely cabin. We have stayed in many vacation rental homes over the years, and this was a favorite that we will book again. Reading through the guest book, it appears that many people return... we know why! The owner, Stephanie, was very communicative and checked in to make sure everything was going well. The cabin was exactly as described, and in a wonderful location. Things we loved: the kitchen was stocked with REAL silverware, dishes, pans, etc, not the cheap type you usually see in rentals. The bed was very comfortable, the linens and towels were very nice. The comfort of guests were clearly considered in every detail. The creek was delightful, and a highlight. The road the cabin is located on becomes a trail, which we walked several miles one afternoon. There is an off-leash dog park a couple of minute walk up the trail. The back deck is private and we enjoyed some sunny October afternoons on it. I especially enjoyed reading the history of the cabin in the info binder - it made me appreciate it even more. :)

We absolutely love The Cabin! Fully stocked, clean, comfortable; and the outdoor space was private, and relaxing! Stephanie was a pleasure to work with and so attentive to our comfort! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us and making us feel so welcomed! Hope to see you next year!

This was a lovely cabin in a beautiful peaceful setting
3 main problems:
1. There was an expectation at the end of the stay that we strip the bed, get the bedding down the very tall stairs, gather towels and start the owners’ laundry and then get the load in the dryer. I’m here on vacation from my own laundry and had no motivation to do owners laundry. There were constant messages regarding this. Over and over, even woke us up the last morning. Beyond obnoxious and out of the scope of expectation for a guest. She just wouldn’t stop with these massages. This expectation was not disclosed in the advertising.
2. Heat was controlled offsite my the owner. This was not disclosed in advertising. It was set for 55 at night- the same as outside. Like sleeping with the windows open. The system kept overriding our settings.
3. Invest in a few mouse traps. The mice live in the bedroom and run around when getting ready for bed.
One jumped over my slippers. Very disturbing to try to sleep with mice in the room. Rodents can carry rabies and other diseases.
Overall, disappointing.

Probably the best VRBO experience I've ever had. The cabin is comfy and charming. The location was absolutely perfect and the owner is just about the nicest person I've ever dealt with. I was there for work and now I cannot wait to come back and stay here for a vacation. Just a very special place.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin by the creek! We were there to just "chill out" and it was the perfect location for doing just that. The kitchen had everything we needed and there was even a grill that we used a couple times. The deck is super comfortable, plenty of comfy chairs, and there was always a shady (or sunny!) spot to sit in. The sounds of the creek was so nice. There was even a hammock! A hummingbird feeder was set up and there was a constant stream of hummingbirds using it.
There were lots of labels in the cabin that made finding things easy. Everything was clean and we felt right at home. The cabin is super close to town, so it was easy to run over to the shops if needed.
Stephanie was very communicative and made us feel very welcome. It is clear that this is a loved location and taken care of very well. We can't wait to go back!

Wow! We loved staying here! If you can dream up the most idyllic and charming cabin in the woods, this was it. Stephanie has put so much effort into making the Spring Creek Cabin feel like home - from the adorable decor to a well stocked kitchen and a lovely yard. The sound of creek at night with the upper level windows open (didn't want to invite any curious bears in) made for some of the best sleep ever. So relaxing and lovely! We hope to return sooner than later, thank you so much Stephanie! ~ Edina and John

Excellent location next to a creek. Quiet and peaceful

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin this Spring! Everything was as described and better. The wood stove made it very cozy. The privacy of the location was incredible but just a close drive into town. The children enjoyed their own space in the loft. We will definitely rent it again in the future. The host is an excellent communicator!

Very fun location for kids, dog, easy access to skiing. I did not realize that all the bedrooms were in an open “loft” type areas. The door to the main bedroom is about 3/4 of normal size, but my 6ft 4 husband was able to bend down & get through!

We had an amazing time up at the Spring Creek cabin. It is very close to town and the ski resort, but nestled in a very secluded and charming location. The home is cozy and we loved having fires on the wood stove to stay warm. Our dog loved the warmth from the fire and also enjoyed the walking path and dog park right outside the cabin. The decorations in the cabin were very homey and unique, not something you would see in a normal rental.
The kitchen was well-equipped and we ate most of our meals there.
Stephanie was great to work with throughout the entire process and has done a great job keeping this cabin in good shape. It is a very special place and we intend to stay there again soon.

The cabin was close to town, making it easy to get to the slopes and restaurants, but at the same time felt really private and secluded. We enjoyed the fireplace - it was filled with wood anticipating our arrival! Kitchen also very well stocked, we had everything we could think of for cooking. The owner really thought of everything. :) great trip!

Very cozy and well appointed cabin in a beautiful little valley right on the edge of town - including a walking trail right outside perfect for hikers, dog walkers and cross country skiers. And the occasional moose.

The cabin was fully equipped with everything you might need. The location is conveniently located close to ski lifts and to town. It was very clean! Will stay here again if available in the future.

This was our first stay in this cabin, which is next to Spring Creek a mile outside of downtown Steamboat Springs. Everything was as shown online, very charming and well-equipped for a longer or shorter stay. The owner, Stephanie, was extremely responsive to any questions we had and we greatly enjoyed using the wood stove, as it snowed during our mid-October stay. This cabin is quiet and near a local dog park and other hiking options, but also very easily accessible to all that downtown Steamboat has to offer. It was perfect for our needs and we plan to return!

We have been trying to book this cabin for a couple of years. Finally got dates reserved that worked for us. We were so excited to stay and we’re not disappointed when we arrived. This cozy cabin nestled in the woods next to the creek was perfect. Stephanie was wonderful to work with, she stayed in contact if something came up and answered all our questions. We can’t wait to book this cabin again. Most definitely will be putting this on our list of favorite places to stay.

This property is hands-down one of the most unique and special places my husband and I have ever stayed. The cabin has every amenity and even more. The owner is extremely thoughtful and the check in was super easy. If you're looking for a relaxing private mountain getaway but close to the town of Steamboat Springs, this is the place!

This was our first time at the cabin and it welcomed us like a big familiar hug! It is perfectly outfitted and the layout is extraordinarily functional. We can't thank Stephanie enough for all of her extra touches and communications. The location was excellent for walking into town, hiking in the wilderness and taking our dogs for a stroll.

We absolutely loved our stay at Stephanie’s cabin. The location is perfect as it is walking distance to town and also right along the trail and close to the dog park which is perfect for exercising the dogs. The decor on the inside is extremely quaint and cozy with every little detail you would need to make your stay very comfortable. We cooked all of our meals in the well stocked kitchen, played board games on the kitchen table, enjoyed our morning coffee on the couch by the beautiful bay window that lets in lots of morning sunshine, and cozied up by the wood burning stove for movie night. We can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful experience. Excellent communication with owner, especially the wildlife advisory (much appreciated). The bear did stop by but we had no issues as all was prepared and very secure. Quaint location with easy access to popular hiking trail along the lovely babbling brook. Pride of ownership is obvious in the care and presentation of home, but keep in mind that it is in a remote setting in nature. 5 stars!

I went to Steamboat Springs to visit my daughter and son in law and to celebrate my daughter’s 30th birthday. I stayed at the cabin with my fur babies. The cabin was perfect. Very clean and organized. Everything you need is there plus extras. Enjoyed the quiet nights only hearing the creek. My dogs enjoyed going to the dog park numerous times throughout the day. This was a great cabin experience.

This was exactly what we were hoping for! We spent a week here in the winter, and spent it doing pretty much nothing but sitting in front of the wood-fired stove while the snow fell. But also there was hot water and laundry! You're right on a quiet trail (at least in winter, don't know how busy it gets in summer) and there's an off-leash dog park about a quarter-mile up it before a fantastic longer hike. And a quarter mile the other way and you're on the road into town. It's a perfect location.

Very clean. Great location. We loved it so much we didn’t want to leave. Would definitely stay here again.

A cozy, clean cabin in the woods and not too far from town. We have been coming up to Steamboat for 23 years now and this is by far our favorite place to stay. Relaxing with a blanket taking in the stars, or sipping wine by the wood burning stove. Was a weekend worth waiting for.. I gave four stars for location only because you can hear people walking and talking on the spring creek trail. You can’t see them, just hear them. Otherwise awesome experience. Thank you and we would love to return…..soon

We really enjoyed our relaxing stay at this cabin. The owner of the cabin communicated directly with us from booking the cabin until the day we checked out. We felt very welcome. The cabin is located just off a popular hiking, running, and biking trail that we enjoyed daily with our dog. Even though this trail has a fair amount of foot traffic, we still felt the privacy of the cabin as there is the creek, and vegetation between the cabin and the trail. We would love to return sometime.
