A friend and I got this for a girls weekend in the off season. The location and building were excellent. We had so much fun just hanging out and walking around. Nothing was open as it was off season but we still had a great time. The condo was cozy and clean. There was a little bit of a weird smell, probably from the carpet, but didn't affect the trip. Overall great place and would do it again!

Very good stay. 2nd time in two years at this property. Skied for a few days. Enjoyed the jacuzzi on the property. Enjoyed proximity to the restaurants, shops, and lifts.

Property was clean, great location, and comfortable. There's so much hiking nearby...we love the area. Wifi supported 2 people working remotely and on zoom, communication with the management company was smooth (we unexpectedly needed to receive packages), and beds were comfy. Unit has humidifiers, which is great too. Would stay again.

Nice large condo in the center of the ski resort area. We visited in the summer and were able to walk many places.

Elevator was not working the 1st day so it was difficult bringing luggage up the 3rd floor - with 2 seniors with us. However, help was offered but we just didn’t want to wait. Elevator fixed the next day. Everything else was good and fit our needs. Spacious rooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen with all necessities. Great location. Will recommend and most likely book another CO vacation here. We are happy overall! Thank you!

Building is a bit run down and so is the condo. Could use a few upgrades but overall great location and stay.

Reviewer Comments:
I believe this was not the unit I rented and that the rental agency switched units on me. I advised them of that and they never looked into it, even after I gave them the VRBO property number that I thought I rented. Also, the elevator was shut down for 3 days while I was there and the rental company said the HOA only told them about that an hour before the rental company sent me a text advising me of the shut down. That's BS! The rental agency should be checking with the HOA frequently and asking about planned maintenance. An elevator repair doesn't just happen over night. It has to be scheduled in advance, and I should have been notified of it so I would have rented a ground floor unit or a unit elsewhere. Carrying luggage down 3 flights of stairs on departure was not a pleasant experience.

Right size for 4 adults. Close enough to the lift, restaurants, and shops.
4.5
Generous space for a family of four with many convenience features.
The most spacious corner unit we stayed at. Only a short walk from the gondola and many restaurants. The unit is right next to the elevator for extra convenience, absent of traffic noise during our spring break stay. Ski rental is right across from the parking garage entrance (we rented from Norski, which offers much better rental rate and locational convenience for this Dakota unit). Would stay again for our next Keystone visit.

The condo was spacious and comfortable. You could tell that there was wear and tear but was clean. The location was very near the ski slopes and the lifts. There were plenty of shops and places to eat nearby.

very big for a family but outdated and odd smell.

Conveniently located in the River Run village and only a 4-5 minute walk from the gondola lift. The rental, check-in/check-out processes were all easy and the condo was as described. I would stay here again.

Reviewer Comments:
This unit has plenty of space in the living and master bedroom areas; the 2nd bedroom is tight for two twin beds, but it works and a 2 twin bed arrangement is difficult to find. The unit is convenient to the elevator (but not so close for noise to be a problem) and the building is very convenient to the lifts and River Run shops and restaurants. When we first arrived the television in the main area was not working but with a call to the SCMR office it was quickly replaced that evening. As seen in other reviews, the carpet is definitely in poor shape and needs to be replaced. The unit was clean and has a large entry way storage area for ski jackets, pants, and other equipment. We would stay here again due to the space and convenience of the unit.

We had a wonderful trip at this location. If you’re coming with younger kids, keep in mind that it’s about a 7 minute walk to the gondola. We were able to find some courtesy wagons to pull our youngest and all of our gear! Lots of shops nearby within walking distance to load up on groceries. Views were awesome. If you look out the dining room you see the ice skating rink. If you look out the living room, you see the slopes. We didn’t have any waiting problems with the elevator. Loved the full size coffee maker. Carpet needs to be replaced. Master bed was pretty hard. Heater was having some struggles which maintenance did address quickly. We ended up having thick blankets delivered from bed bath and beyond because they didn’t have any. Shower head in the guest bathroom was super weak. Those are just ways to make this place even better! Love that the place was right off the elevator! Will stay again!

The place was clean and fit the 4 of us well. We only stayed one night and it was perfect. Walking distance to the River Run gondola. Would definitely stay again.

Reviewer Comments:
I love visiting Keystone resort. This unit is in the same building with the outside heated pool and two hot tubs. We went to soak and hike the surrounding area which is always magical. Remember to enjoy but leave no trace! The only things the unit didn't have was decent carpets and enough room in the small 2 twinned bedroom. The master room was luxurious and had an opening to the patio (the other door to the patio is around the corner of the fireplace behind an oddly placed cabinet). Humidifiers, fans, extra blankets, and kitchen utensils were all there in force. The fireplace was a slow, blue trickle of a flame, but the living area was grand enough. I was hoping that the firepits would be on outside and realize this is a Keystone Resort complaint rather than a Summit County Mountain Restreat complaint, but it would be nice if the staff at Summit Mountain had updated activity lists depending on season. Most of the restaurants were closed during our stay and we had to call to make sure that the pool area would be open. The gentleman I spoke to from Summit Mountain was helpful and respectful, but I can't say the same for the lady I repeatedly spoke to. She was rude to me and my guests when we called asking for information almost every time. I am very respectful, so it felt odd that she would attempt to belittle me. Maybe she was going through a hard time, but I don't think it takes too much to relay a pleasant, helpful phone demeanor. The pool room in Buffalo Lodge desperately needed chaulk, so I would bring some if that's your fancy. Overall, I liked this unit and would stay again as long as my guests were ok with a teeny, tiny room.

We enjoyed our stay! The unit was very nice. From Check in to Check out it was only 17 hours so It would be more enjoyable if we could have stayed another day!

We have been coming out to CO every summer for the past 9 years for bike races, only missing a year during the pandemic. We’ve stayed in Silverthorne, Leadville, Copper, Breckenridge, and Snowmass. I booked the first 4 nights of our trip this time in Keystone as I thought a quieter town could be a nice change. I was excited for the lake sports for the kids. The condo itself was adequate - spacious for a family of 6.
We were thoroughly disappointed on how unfriendly the Keystone Resort is to cyclists with TRAILERS. We have a small 4x8 enclosed trailer with racing bikes, nutrition, gear, and spare parts. Despite all the open lots the resort makes everyone with a trailer park over 2 miles away in the north lot. Anyone racing know the cost of the gear and parking away isn’t an option you want to take. We packed up and left after 2 nights due to the trailer parking issue and the rude staff and Dakota Lodge owner who complained. We gave the rest of our $$$ to Breckenridge who is far more friendly to cyclists.
As a business leader, Keystone Resorts is losing out on catering to a community of cyclists in their low season for a few months when open lots outside of the resort for trailer parking shouldn’t be a big deal and could be controlled with lodging parking passes. It’s not like they have to plow the snow this time of year when the lots are closed between 2-6am. There was plenty of parking Saturday even with the Blue Grass Festival there. The trailer itself isn’t an eye sore for resort owners and guests. There was the same one in the lot already being used by the resort. Disappointed - we definitely won’t be back to Keystone.
On a side note - I’ve never left a negative review anywhere but this resort disappointed us so much I want other cyclists who haul bike trailers to know about our experience and advise to book elsewhere.

Lovely summer visit
We enjoyed many features of this property. Because it's a corner unit, it has many windows, and thus lots of natural light, which we loved. The floorplan is quite nice - very open and spacious with ample space at the dining table for family games, and in the living room for hanging out together. Though general fairly dated, the unit is in good condition. We appreciated the underground garage and the security it afforded for a car loaded down with four very expensive bikes. The location is great, central and convenient without being too noisy. We did quite a bit of cooking, and the kitchen is reasonably well equipped. We enjoyed the large round hot tub after several days of lengthy biking and hiking.
On the downside, the unit is in good condition, except for the carpet, which is in really poor condition. I'm quite surprised it hasn't been replaced. The dining table is pretty rough as well. For some reason, the baseboard heaters ran constantly, despite turning the thermostat completely off, and/or trying to set the temperature to its lowest level. Thus, it was hot (80 degrees when we first checked in), and we had to leave all the windows open all the time. We weren't there long enough to bother with contacting maintenance about the issue. The knives are quite dull, so beware if you're a cook. An electric griddle would be a very nice addition, or another large non-stick skillet, so cooking for a group was somewhat challenging.
Overall, though, a nice place, especially for the price.

The condo was clean, there were some places in the carpet that were torn up, but noting that would cause trips or falls. The dishwasher didn't work, but contacted the person and they said they would send someone to fix it when we left. It was hot as there is no air conditioning, but with the fans and the windows open it was comfortable. I would stay there again.

The condo fell well short of expectations; stained and ripped carpet in multiple spots, dirty silverware, dirty pots and pans, primary bedroom lock was broken, broken towel bar, tv didn't work in the second bedroom, the heat couldn't keep up with the cold weather, had to place blankets around the backdoor to keep cold air from coming in, old worn out furniture. Condo is in a great location, would not recommend this unit.

If you need kids toys and items- I booked through babys away and they coordinated with the rental property and it was so easy. We did a target grocery pick up on our way in and it was super helpful. The house has all the things you can need. Would totally rebook!

Pros: property within walking distance to the gondola lift. The corner room was much larger than expected. Hot tub/pool area was very nice. Plenty of storage area for skis/snowboards.
Cons: when we first arrived, the fire alarm was beeping due to low battery. After several calls to maintenance, we were forced to drive to a gas station to buy batteries and replace them ourselves. The window in the guest bedroom was not sealed properly and let in a lot of cold air. The tv in the main room is quite small for the size of the room. The kitchen could have been stocked with some basic things like salt/pepper.

This unit in The Dakota had everything my family of 5 needed for a comfortable stay. The master bedroom was large and comfortable. The other bedroom was small but adequate for 2 big kids, and the fold-out couch worked for my teenager. We prepared several meals in the kitchen. The only item missing that we needed was a cookie sheet. The dinner table was nice and big. It would have been helpful to know that this unit was on the 3rd floor as the room numbers don't correspond to the floor. We didn't use the hot tub or pool, but there were several people in them that looked like they were having a lot of fun! There is a little store next door that has a few grocery items. Make sure you load up on groceries in Dillon, though to save money and time. There is a ski locker in the lobby that was very convenient. We would definitely stay in this condo again!

The Dakota is a great location in Keystone Village only a short 5 min walk to the gondola. It’s awesome for skiing and the size of this unit is really nice for a family of 4 with two teenagers. We had Thanksgiving dinner here and everything necessary for cooking all the fixings was provided in the unit. It was really nice to have a full size dinner table that seats 8 also. Unfortunately this unit is really showing its age as it desperately needs maintenance. The carpet is awful, with large seam gaps and dangerous tacks exposed next to the kitchen. The furniture is rickety and the throw pillows, sofa are pretty gross with stains. The master bed was lacking a bed skirt which made it look cheap and trashy. The linens are dated and need replacement. There are repair patches in the master bath that need to be finished/painted. The heat works great and the fireplace was nice too. Loved the balcony on sunny afternoons as well. The Dakota building was hurting for maintenance/service as well. The dry sauna doesn’t work, the small hot tub jets don’t work, the pool area was not regularly cleaned - towels piled 2 ft over the top of the drop bin for 3 days. There is only one elevator and it’s really slow (5 floors plus underground parking). The heated parking garage is nice but a little tight. Low clearance but we had a full size Yukon which fit just fine. Not sure how that would go with a ski rack on top. If the owners would spend a few thousand updating the carpet and a couple other regular updates, this would be a 5 star unit. Right now, it’s about a 2 1/2 but the location makes it a 3.
