About this cottage rental
The Glass House is a Kerry Mason architecturally designed Kaiteriteri holiday home, in a spectacular location with complimentary WiFi. Delight in the incredible views north out towards Abel Tasman National Park, and south over Kaiteriteri beach and towards Nelson.
This beautifully presented Kaiteriteri holiday home is simple, fresh and relaxed, designed to let in lots of natural light. Perfectly set up for a summer getaway, the Glass House has all the mod-cons you'll need.
The bedrooms are uniquely linked by two stunning 'external hallways' running along two spacious decks. As you walk along you'll find a bunk room with enough room for eight people, and two bedrooms - one with a king bed and ensuite and the other with a queen bed.
The living area at this Kaiteriteri accommodation is well appointed, tasteful, and ideally suited for checking out the pristine view. Kick back and relax with a DVD or TV show, or admire the artwork dotted around the Glass House. A bench dining table with room for the whole family sits next to the modern kitchen, where you have all the mod cons needed, including an oven, microwave, and even a dishwasher (so you won't have to worry about the dishes afterwards!). There are children's games and toys to keep them entertained as you cook dinner in the kitchen, or take the fun outside and enjoy a BBQ on the deck. (Please note that for safety reasons, the outdoor fire is not available for guest use).
Kaiteriteri sits on the western side of Tasman Bay and is close to both Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks (can you hear those native birds singing already?). The pretty town of Motueka is a 20-minute drive away, and Nelson is a little over an hour's drive away, making it the perfect destination for a day trip.
Feeling like you need a respite from the hustle and bustle of big city life? Then it's time to escape to The Glass House!

A Beautiful Home with Magnificent Views
Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights at this awesome home. There were 10-12 of us over both nights and not once did it feel overcrowded. It has the most spectacular views and the home was nice & clean and well equipped. Thanks very much 😊

Excellent short break
The property is in very good condition with fabulous views over Kaiterteri. Several visitations from native wood pigeons and tuis added to the feeling of being above it all and close to the bush.
Slightly odd layout of not internal corridors to connect the rooms but very easy to get used to and meant each bedroom had a huge amount of privacy. Fab bunk room for kids with a movable door to turn the bunk room inot two seperate sleeping spaces meant flexibility when the younger children had different bedtimes to older children. Would definitely come back.

This is a great kiwi bach and awesome for summer holidays in the Nelson region.
This is a great kiwi bach and awesome for summer holidays in the Nelson region. It's a little strange having no hallway and entering the bedrooms from the outside, but it is a Bach after all!!

Beautiful view, is perfect for summer.
Beautiful view, is perfect for summer. Is set up a bit different then other houses which made it interesting, but unless you are in the master bedroom you have have to go outside to get to the bathroom which might not be ideal in the winter ! Lovely house overall

The location was good, above Kaiteriteri, but the house was strange.
The location was good, above Kaiteriteri, but the house was strange. The main room with kitchen/dining/living room was small but nice, but completely separated from each of the rooms. Each bedroom and the main bathroom was a completely separate room that you have to go out onto the back porch to enter through a locked door. Strange house, but great views. Clean and comfortable and probably a great place in the warm summer months when all the doors are open and the hot tub is running.
