We had a lovely family holiday at Lake Tarawera over Easter. The days were warm but the mornings and evenings a bit chilly, so the fire was very welcome to have. The house was very well appointed and there were plenty of activities on site like air hockey, table tennis and foosball. As well as being close to the lake for walks around the edge and not too far from the mountain bike park. Would definitely recommend

Easy access to the lake. Well equipped bach with ping pong table, table hockey and fuseball table. And kayaks. And only 15mins to the Whakarewarewa MTB park. Great for a chilled out break.

Location fantastic. Property had everything we required. A bit dated inside and on closer inspection needs a bit of money spending to refurbish and give it some love but overall pretty comfortable with an awesome view.

Fantastic place to stay! Heaps of entertainment, a beautiful spot, lots of outdoor equipment available, none of us got bored and there were 9 of us ranging from 2-67 years old. Great quality linen and bedding too. I would recommend this place to family and friends.

This house was perfect for our joint family reunion. Very well kitted out, lots to do just within the house itself! Loved the pizza oven, the kayaks, foosball, and all the board games. We would love to come back!

Found it odd to have to pay $20 per pet (what exactly is this cost going for?) and to not have simple staples like linen and bath mats and dish cloths and tea towels included. Didn't have access to the boat shed or kayaks mentioned in the listing.
Overall was a great break and would love to stay there again.
