About this cottage rental
The historic renovation effort of the Bull Barn Cottage was completed in 2006 on the Herdsman Cottage and Bull Barn has since provided a convenient and comfortable home away from home. Sleeping four, this two-bedroom, two-bath cottage is set against a beautiful backdrop of the Allegheny Mountains and is located a short walk away from the Milk House Market and the Old Dairy Community Center.
Both bedrooms feature queen-sized accommodations with full baths. The kitchen is fully-stocked and equipped for meal prep, all that can be enjoyed at the four-person dining table. The cozy living room offers comfortable seating and a television, perfect for unwinding after an eventful day of exploring the state park.
Gorgeous views of rolling pastures and impressive mountains completes this cottage’s rustic, country ambiance and perfectly enhances your Hot Springs getaway.
For your convenience, the Bull Barn Cottage includes free Wi-Fi and a washer and dryer. Guests also have access to the Old Dairy Community Center which offers a seasonal, outdoor pool, large indoor hot tub, game room and fitness center.
We encourage you to bring your four-legged friend, as the Bull Barn Cottage does accommodate pets for an additional $100 non-refundable pet fee per pet.

Lovely renovated cottage. The cutest kitchen that had everything we needed to cook or prep meals. Gorgeous bathroom with giant soaking tub was definitely a highlight. We used the sauna at the mill frequently. We only had wished the jacuzzi was fixed when we were there. We were so close to springs, the resort, and many taverns/ inns. It was the perfect location. Great communication with the property managers and they were happy to answer any questions. Very cute market right by the cottage at the mill where we could grab a coffee and a bite to eat. Not far from many trails as well. Greatly enjoyed our stay. Would love to come back and do it again.

Cozy cottage in a wonderful location
Everything about this experience was smooth. The place is amazing, the house is very comfortable and really had everything you need. The facilities are clean and spacious. Everything was prepared for our arrival, it was almost like coming to your own home. Stacy was always available and easy to reach out. She is such a wonderful person and super friendly. We would definitely go back again.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful community
My husband, son and I escaped for a couple of days in the mountains to find this delightful cottage in The Old Dairy. The cottage has everything you would ever need for a 2 night stay and is located on a beautiful historic reserve surrounded by wildflowers and landscape. The Old Dairy pool is pristine and quiet.. and the cafe has delightful lunch and coffee (& a great wine and icecream selection). Five stars for services and ambiance! Thanks to Stacy and staff... you were fabulous!

Beautiful Quite Barn
Wish we had more time to spend! It felt like home but very quite and relaxing. The grounds were beautiful and while we did not get to use the amenities the pool and spa were so nice! There is not a lot to do in hot springs but if you are look to relax and not feel like to have to visit or shop while on vacay this is your place. We also spent time people watching and dining at the homestead which was so nice. The views are amazing.

Relaxation in the Bull Barn Cottage
We stayed at the Bull Barn Cottage for a week in October 2018. The cottage is amazing. Bedrooms are spacious and decorated with taste. Linens are superior and perfect for the cool nights in October. Kitchen is well stocked and laid out to allow interaction with the family. We enjoyed the board games and the many stations available on the TV.

Charming Country Retreat
We had a lovely stay at the Old Dairy! The Bull Barn offered a cozy cottage in a quiet, rural setting. There was plenty to do between exploring the beautiful scenery nearby, and relaxing in the private spa on site. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again soon!

Beautifully appointed cottage!
We absolutely loved the Bull Barn Cottage- It was very clean, tastefully decorated and surprisingly spacious. The online photos do not do the place justice!! The Natural Retreats staff was very friendly and attentive whenever we had a question. The community center across the driveway was great for the kids (pool table, foosball, hot tub, sauna, workout room) and the sandwiches at the market were fabulous!! (They also have a nice selection of wine and beer!) There is so much to do and see in the area, two days wasn't enough- we can't wait to return!!

Perfect Long Weekend
We loved our stay at the Bull Barn Cottage in Warm Springs, VA. It was perfect for our family of four and the decor / finishes are beautiful. Everything was well stocked-- and the kitchen / appliances were brand new. Loved the hardwood floors and gorgeous rugs throughout making it feel homey. The bath tub is gorgeous and the perfect way to end the day. We loved being near the Homestead Resort without staying there-- particularly on a holiday weekend. Looking forward to coming back to this cottage in the near future.
