Great location. Cristina was very hospitable and accomplished.
Price seemed kind of high. No apparent AC units. I was just far hot.

She claimed that I hadn't paid yet.
I showed her my reservation and still claimed I needed to pay.
I got another hotel and my stay there. Now I want my money back
Not being over charged or the effort to try.

IF it had not roaches I'd absolutely like it! Being in a cold house in a hot weather is a gift. I'm so sorry to put a "Fair" rating on it because staff was beyond my expectations, but... roaches everywhere. They can't do anything with roaches, struggling to maintain this old house.
Roaches and noise

The electricity would constantly go out all throughout the day in two outlets only, the outlets with the mini frig completely defrosted thank goodness I didn't have much in it to ruin, and microwave and the outlet for the mini heater used to warm up the room which for some reason was always cold. Also the roaches were really bad would bed on the bed sometimes. The majority of my showers were luke warm water.

Nothing.
Both my room and the bathroom are f**king terrible. Also its location was surrounded by slums filled with homeless tents, not a very hospitable environment. If I ever travel to Los Angeles again, I will never go near this area again, including this f**king hotel.

Afordable price.
Old and dirty, things not working well.
2.1
No breakfast offered
There was no front door at the entrance which was both loud and unsafe
2.1
breakfast was not included
The place is very much outdated, the house does not look good either, the floors make sound when you walk, the room did not have heater and it was very cold, a lady gave us a portable heater instead, the beds are old, the neighborhood is scary, i did not feel 100% safe, the rooms don't have private bathroom, so everyone have to share it, my pillow was old and dirty, I know the price and location is important, but if you are traveling with kids, I wouldn't recommend it, if you are looking for a place just to go to sleep for a low price then this will be a good option. It was difficult to do the check in, we were waiting for very long time before somebody was able to help us.

Good place
Dirty and restrooms with cockroach. that’s awful.

Exceedingly noisy considering the dogs across the street, and the fire house across the corner. Was under the impression there was ac, but it was a heater. Window open and fan full blast was still very hot. Bathroom at least had cleaning supplies to wash out shower before use, but bugs were absolutely everywhere when dark. Microwave/kettle/mini fridge were fine, basically everything but the building itself.

its not similar what they show on photos. very dirty, smell bad, even the floor isnt straight. it doesnt have a front desk, when I arrived I thought that I was in an abandoned house. a big stair to come to the rooms. No security.

This is an antique home that has been remodeled(I use that term loosely)into a boarding house. The bathrooms are shared unless specified at booking but are cleaned frequently. Staff is cool and accommodating(we stayed an extra day), neighborhood is like downtown Sacramento, many cute diners close by, street parking. NO air conditioning but overhead and standing fans and wall heat unit. TV gets local channels but there is wi-fi. Perfect for a quiet get-away.
Cleaning of the room could be better and the bed SUCKS but it is basically a hostel and the price is certainly reasonable. If you are afraid of not so upscale neighborhoods avoid this place. I never felt insecure(F, 125# with partner) but some people might.

The place was unliveable. The manager didn't pick up the call and didn't speak clearly about what was going on. I was told that I would get my refund back when we checkout out but she hasn't refunded the money yet. Save your time because booking.com people are also not helpful.

The room was big.
Was not an hotel/hostel but a shared house. The woman in the "reception" gave me the wrong key of the room, fortunately there was another door on the back of the room. The 2 shared bathroom were dirty all the time. Expensive for what you get. Fine if you are desperate.

Good people. They help others.
If I can book again. All rooms are booked

Staff very nice
Room not clean and the bathroom was constantly full and dirty. Dead bugs, hairs…

The room itself was OK. Everything worked and it was clean.
The problem was the people above us were constantly dragging furniture, banging something on their floor or walls, and walking around with footsteps that we heard loudly. On the third night we asked the manager to ask the people above us to avoid making noise after 9.30 pm, but she did nothing. On the fourth night we asked again at around 10.00 pm, and again, nothing was done. Either there should have been some sound insulation between levels, or the people upstairs should have made an effort to stop constantly moving furniture and banging the walls and floor. In our many travels, we have never encountered this problem before.

it doesn’t say nothing that they have shower bathrooms when we got there we took the surprise that you have to share the bathroom with like 10-15 people more and it doesn’t say it under advertisement they say they have a bathroom shower when you don’t there’s no privacy
I’m really I’m happy for this booking and the bad thing about it if you cancel then they don’t give you your money back and there’s no parking we have no remote for the TV the rooms were dirty and then they don’t give you back your deposit at the end

It was nice to have a private entrance/exit, and the bed was fairly comfortable. The room had tv, fridge, kettle, sink, and linen was provided which was good.
The property was dirty especially the bathroom, in general the building was very old and in need of repair/maintenance. We didn’t want to use the shower as it was so grim… and we went to use the toilet one morning and found a ‘plastic bottle with tin foil’ definitely some sort of drug paraphernalia. The bedroom blinds had definitely had their moneys worth and were in desperate need of replacing.
After contacting booking.com to see if we could check out earlier than originally booked, as we didn’t feel happy or comfortable staying for the duration, all that they did was make the situation worse. We didn’t want any repercussions or awkwardness from the property and after repeatedly saying this to the person at ‘Booking.com live chat’ she went and called the property showed them the photos we’d sent through of the poor conditions. Later on we got a knock at the door to say why had we gone to booking.com to complain and the place wasn’t dirty!? - exactly what we wanted to avoid!

The fact that the Landlady was helpful and tried to help us the best she could each time (even though sometimes I had the feeling I was bothering her more than anything). the supermarket just across the road and eateries around (Chinese, Japanese, etc). The fact that the subway metro station was about 9mn walking distance (Lincoln/cypress about 2 stops from Union gold line) and the neighbourhood was not that bad. The Bed was comfortable. The shelves and the space. Shampoo and soap provided. The Fridge, the microwave and the kettle were quite convenient also with a sink and water point as there was no bathroom in the room. Fresh and clean linen and towel. The fact that the landlady was kind enough to lend us some tableware (like bowls, cutlery, plastic glass)
The pictures look nicer online (it's actually older than what you see). I had a 1cm gap with my window and was unable to close it fully (I was advised to put a towel for the gap, things I had already done as it was very cold at night). Also when I arrived I could notice that the floor was not too too clean either (but disregarded it). The nights were really cold specifically with a gap in the window so I asked if I could have a heater as it was listed in the items (thank god) however the day I decided to watch TV it seems that I had to choose between having the heater on and watching the TV as it was making tripping off the electricity all the time each time I was doing both... and this for both my friend's room and mine, but for mine, it was making tripping off the main plugs like the TV, the Fridge and the microwave so it was quite annoying (specifically after having a cut after 11pm one day and ended up with my fridge melting overnight...).After more or less 3/4 electricity cuts I gave up on watching TV and it solved the problem. My friend next door to me was unlucky to have a few cockroaches (she was less scared of them than me) and I was praying for it to don't be the case for me as I couldn't see any since the beginning and that she saw few of them. Cockroaches are a big no no for me and hate it. Until the day when my friend heard me scream because I had 1 in my room (overall for me it was only 1 but 1 too many). Also, a very important point the blinds were really not in good condition at all and I struggled to put them in a certain way to ensure nobody could see me from the outside, then I left them that way for the entire stay (as it was a real piece of work).

We had booked a 3 person room and when we arrived the room had 1 double bed, after pointing this out the host put a 5 ft long sofa bed in the room. The Room was dirty, there was bugs, the sink had something sticky in it when we arrived as well as there being left over food in the fridge. The window didn't close properly and the heater didn't work and was covered in dust so it was very cold. The bathroom had rust, mould, dust and more bugs. The host was very friendly but these conditions are not what we paid for.
