My boyfriend and I stayed at BeanBag Cabin in late October as a weekend getaway for my birthday. The cabin was just like the pictures - super nice, clean, with an amazing view of the mountains/leaves! The hot tub was an awesome bonus as well. We were able to have some friends over as well and there was more than enough room for all of us. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Beautiful cottage! Spacious and clean. We were surprised at no A/C, but didn’t need it. The fresh air and cool breeze were just what we needed! We will definitely be back.

Overall. we enjoyed our stay. We had a few problems which could be fixed with some work to the house.

Amazing property, tons of deer, great amenities, a few minutes drive to the slopes it can’t be beat! We would absolutely recommend this property to anyone coming to Beech. Small issue with obtaining the correct key code which delayed us about 20 minutes. However, communication leading up to the trip was frequent and clear. We hope to stay here again in an amazing home away from home.

Everything was clean and taken care of. As far as location we loved seeing all the dear. Enjoyed out trip while we went to land of oz.

Great location and layout
Wish there was a few more standard amenities included like a hairdryer, and some starter shampoos and conditioners in more than one bathroom, etc…everything else was good.

House in mountains
The house was ample room for my family visiting, with close access to Beech mountain. The hot tub was a nice, added feature after being on the mountain all day. The house was not as clean as we had liked, and messaged the host about a few issues that I saw. All together a pleasurable stay.

Great house but very dirty
The property was great and the view was gorgeous, unfortunately the house was not cleaned when we arrived. The linens on two of the beds had not been changed from the prior guests, trash was still sitting on the back porch, dirty dishes were in the dishwasher, the kitchen counters were not wiped down, and overall everything was very dusty. For a property where I pay a cleaning fee, I expect better! I informed the rental agency who offered to have the same cleaning company come out to clean the next day, but by then we had already cleaned the kitchen, dishes, washed the sheets, and taken out the trash - needless to say, we didn’t take the offer. Would have appreciated to have a refund for the cleaning fee at least!

Great cabin with mountain view
We recently traveled to North Carolina for a mountain vacation. This is a great place to stay. Outstanding cabin that is clean and well equipped. Conveniently located near local attractions and restaurants. Great views of the mountains from the decks on all 3 levels.

Not very clean, needs update, needs furniture on at least one of the three decks , only 2 old wooden chairs.
Could be a very nice house, but it really needs some work.
But we had a great time anyway.

Get retreat for family getaway
The cabin was very comfortable for our family gathering. Easy space for 8 of us with large kitchen and dining space. Foosball table and hot tub were a hit! Lovely mountain view from the top deck off master bedroom.

We enjoyed being in the mountains very much! With a little TLC this rental could be even better. Broken chairs replaced, mattress' updated and a good deep cleaning needed.

Girls weekend
Great house! Great location! Great view! Daily friendly visits from deer. We loved the fireplace and hot tub also! Could have been a little cleaner. Water pressure drops drastically if using more than one source at a time. Overall stay was wonderful!

The cabin was a great layout for our family. Good location.
But the cleaning lady had a lot to be desired . The ground level was not cleaned and there was a dirty diaper in the room. The futon was still unfolded.
The floor was dirty.
The main floor bathroom had mildew and mold in the grout in the shower.
The house needs to be painted inside . the basement is very musty smelling and the house could use some new bathroom rugs. I would not rent this home again

Bean Bag
Nice place, great views. Everything was perfect. Parking was really tight, especially after a snow storm. Roads were taking care of by salting and scrapping.

The view was everything from the top floor.
We loved this house. It was very comfortable for the 10 of us. The only issue is that there is no signal and the WIFI is horrible.

Nice house and great views
We enjoyed our stay, the house was nice. Great views, The kitchen was well equipped and the hot tub was a nice way to relax. The only thing I would suggest is a booklet explaining the use of all the tv remotes in the family room and a hair dryer would be nice. Downstairs was a musky smell but we read that before we went. We saw lots of deer and wild turkeys. The house was laid out nice for family. We would go back again.

Relaxing stay at Bean Bag Cabin
Our family of 4 had a wonderful time at your cabin. It was spacious and offered plenty of area to just relax. We got lots of use out of the hot tub—it worked perfectly and without incident. We asked for a firewood delivery and it was waiting for us when we checked in. We loved the view each morning as we had coffee on the back deck. Saw deer and turkey wandering around each day. There was a clog in the master bath tub but I called the property manager and the issue was handled immediately. Thank you for promptly addressing our service requests! I would agree with several other posters that it would be nice to provide some extra blankets for guests. Also, certain areas of the cabin weren’t too clean. For example, the kitchen cabinets were splattered with something and I had to clean those upon our arrival. Overall, we would definitely return. We love Bean Bag Cabin!

Mid August visit
This house was absolutely amazing. The view😱. Not lying when we tell you we just didn't want to leave. Fully equipped kitchen. Grocery store within 15-20mins. Weather perfect. Thinking this maybe a yearly trip. We were happy to leave the house in better shape then we found it. Left sugar and flour 😉

August at Bean Bag
We recently visited Bean Bag Cabin for a week in August. Although we were concerned about the lack of AC, it was a non-issue. The weather was great and opening the windows/doors made it plenty cool.
The management company was immediately responsive to the couple of issues that came up.
Based on some previous reviews, we did bring a couple of extra towels/blankets/pillows and were glad to have them.
The kitchen was well appointed for our family of 5.
The lower level does have that "basement" smell and could stand a dehumidifier, which is the only thing keeping me from giving this home a 5th star.
We loved our stay in the area and will definitely be back.

Nice Location
We enjoyed our time at Bean Bag cabin. Good location close to the heart of Beech Mt and Banner Elk. Deer all over the neighborhood and even saw a momma bear and her three cubs. Cabin was well appointed. Only criticisms are that it could use some general upkeep and pretty sure the beds were not true queens - believe they were queen frames and box springs but with full mattresses. Otherwise great!

Not clean AT ALL
The basement of the residence smelled very foul and one of the guests slept down in the basement. We had to actually call 911 because he was having trouble breathing. He did have breathing problems before this but this polluted air escalated it a bit. We think the cause of this was that there was already mold in the basement.

Mediocre
Pro: This house was a great location for our family vacation and the company was easy to get in touch with.
Con: No one was able to sleep in the basement because of how strongly of mold it smelled and the hot tub was very cloudy and smelled of must as well.

This house was beautiful.
We stayed 5 nights but wish we could have stayed longer. Rain didnt stop the show at all. We loved being in the clouds!

PRICELESS MEMORIES
We are a family of 10 and this is the first time we were able to afford a nice family getaway. This was the most AMAZING getaway ever! From the beautiful decor to the breath taking views. It was surreal. There was even a few deer hanging around in the yard and didnt care we were out there. It was such a neat experience! We don't get to do things like this often but this was worth the priceless memories we made. Thank you, we wil be back and bean bag cabin will be our first choice!

Beech Mountain visit
We only had one issue with the property. When we first arrived there was no hot water. The Property Management company quickly took care of the problem.

Beautiful mountain views!
The cabin was perfect for our 5 teenagers! Everyone was comfortable and had their own space! The hot tub was amazing! The washer and dryer was a huge plus. We loved all of the trails on Beech Mountain. Due to the virus, we had to find alternate things for fun. We loved Linville Falls and the Mast General Store. We would definitely come again!

The place was super nice. Very difficult to get too because they dont plow the roads leading up to it. The house didnt come with a snow shovel and all though it had a snow blower there was no way to use it because it didnt have an extension cord with it. The hottub didnt get above 95 degrees and the breaker kept cutting off so at that point we didnt even get to enjoy that. other than that the views were great.

Love the cabin, love Beech Mtn!
We had a great weekend at the Bean Bag Cabin. This was our first time renting from Carolina Cabin Rentals, and we were very pleased with the service and quality of the cabin. The hot tub wasn't on when we arrived, and the maintenance arrived quickly on a snowy day to get it working for us.
The cabin was very clean, had a great view, and was perfect for our group of 7 (4 adults, 3 children). The layout of the cabin worked well for us, as bedrooms on separate levels gave us each our own space. The extra space in the basement was great for the kids to play in. It can get a little chilly in the basement, especially when kids don't shut the sliding doors next to the hot tub.
The kitchen had a lot of equipment and plenty of dishes, and the gas range is really nice! It's a great cabin to get if you like to do your own cooking.
We were a bit concerned about driving conditions, but the roads were cleaned every day (it snowed for 2 days while we were there). Even without 4WD or chains, we did fine. But that might be different during icy conditions, so we'll keep that in mind for next time.

I did give this cabin a five star. We love Bean Bag Cabin and stayed here 3 years ago. It is the perfect cabin for our family ( adults and a small child).
I do have a couple of suggestions- mainly for the kitchen. Another set of eating utensils is needed, along with drinking glasses.
We enjoyed fires in the fireplace, relaxing in the hot tub and just enjoying our family in the great room and around the table.
The parking space is a little scary. 3 cars packed in and had to pull car out to access garbage bin.

Really enjoyed the stay and the cabin accommodated our family really well. The children enjoyed watching the deer. The downstairs does run a good bit colder than the other floors. The ice maker was not working and I think there was a problem with the water line but we had bottled water. The hot water held out for all showers. Working with Carolina Rentals good experience. Trash bins do need to be emptied more.
