Beautiful location right on the lake. Comfy beds, the cabin kitchen was well stocked, lots of facilities on premises like kayaks, indoor/ outdoor games etc.
Bathroom was tiny but expected for a cabin experience. The stay in a 2 bedroom cabin might be tight for 4 adults.

Amazing place to sit back and enjoy your surroundings. Peaceful and beautiful.

amazing property! hidden gem that you would not think would be there. everything is clean and almost new.
staff are brilliant! Matt is such a nice guy who had all the time in the world to answer any questions and guide us around.
the peace and quiet you can get here is amazing! and it is pet friendly no matter what the size!
only bad thing I can say is the mosquitos but you get that everywhere!
I don’t have anything bad to say other than that!

Kitchens are a bit under stocked - no baking sheets for the oven or paper towel

The whole vibe at this resort was amazing! Our dog was MORE than welcomed everywhere on the grounds, and even off leash as long as they are well behaved. Every little thing we needed was there. The staff were fantastic, fun, always available and very accommodating. So many activities to choose from (paddle boards, pedal boat, motor boat rental, indoor and outdoor games, swimming, sauna), amazing views from every cabin, tons of privacy in your cabin but also lots of opportunity to socialize in the common areas. ALSO super comfy beds and cozy cottage!! 20/10!
I don’t have any complaints what so ever.

Awesome location, outdoor seating areas, docks, water toys, indoor and outdoor activities. Rooms were great, kitchens outfitted well with cutlery, dishes etc. Great list of supplies available for purchase and loved the honour system. Felt safe and comfortable on the property. Owners and staff were amazing!!
The room could’ve been a bit cleaner, shower and fridge in particular and our bathroom door needed to be adjusted because it wouldn’t line up to close. A couple repairs needed on the outdoor stairways, our screen door, step etc. I know they’ve been working hard at upgrading/renovating, there was nothing that isn’t a quick fix or ruined our experience!

the whole resort is a gem. i would like to go back more often to this resort. such a nice location and the host were to nice and friendly. the upgraded our stay without extra charges and provided us with so many amenities free of charge. there were boats kayaks canoes and even motor boats. they had so many board games , badminton basketball and even table tennis. the game room was so well stocked i was shocked to see so much. the view and location of the resort was super nice. if u are a dog owner this is a really nice place ti take your furry babies. the host allowed the dogs to go off leash and explore the area. definitely a must visit every summer and a place to always go back.
reception problem and bad wifi was the only thing but all the other amenities and location totally made us forget about our phones.

The Trace at Oak Lake exceeded all expectations. My girlfriend and I were looking for a relaxing and calm getaway from work and the Trace did just that. Not only did it offer plenty of amenities, but it offered a cozy and homey feel that made us want to extend our stay beyond the weekend. The couple that owns the property, Tom and Erin, were super welcoming, friendly, and amazing throughout our entire trip. Them and their beautiful dog, Abbey, greeted us once we drove up and gave us an informative tour on all the amenities that the Trace offers. Yoga in the morning, peddle boat/kayaks to explore the lake, hot sauna, hot tub, and a beautiful view of Oak Lake provided an amazing and a connective experience with nature. If you're looking for a quiet, calm, and beyond relaxing getaway within Ontario, the Trace is the place to be.
That we couldn't stay longer. Everything was perfect.

This place is so good that I don't want other people to know about it. :)
Location is perfect, rooms are perfect, resort set up is perfect.
We have stayed in Queen Studio Chalet. The room is large and the extra room (den) is a good bonus.
Matras , pillows, duvet are very nice. Kitchen equipped with has everything you might need.
The lake is very nice, clean and was very warm , the view is amazing .
It's very nice that you can use watercrafts on your taste (canoe, kayaks, paddle boats, motor boats(license required the rental is extra).
It's really quiet, and the tenants wants to be quiet as well.
We love that we can bring a dog. Our dog enjoy it very much and made new friends.
The best place in Ontario we have been.
The doc is a bit slippery when it's wet.

The location was beautiful . The lake was so clear and quiet, it’s was amazing to hear nothing but the odd crow talking to one another at such a far distance across the water . And the loons talking at night . This holiday stay was amazing, a 10 .

Erin and Tom have created a true sanctuary on this magical lake! They have put a lot of work into making it a special place. Carlene's yoga classes made it even more special! She is a fabulous teacher and we loved our morning yoga sessions with her. Can't wait for next year!

1. Owners are really nice. They even brought a bottle of bubbly for my wife's birthday!
2. Location is nice.
3. Bedding was clean.
Not sure where to start...
1. Cabin: "rustic" means sub-standard. Creaking floor, squeaking door, exposed electric wiring, noisy fridge, non-working oven, really dirty bbq.
2. Although it is "adult" resort. we felt like in a kindergarten under the watchful eye of the student Evan, who patrolled the property with a Swiss watch timing, 10 minutes, give or take.
3. Expensive. To pay 900 odd bucks for three days, including a $50 pet fee which gave you the privilege the step in dog poop on the entire property seemed expensive.
4. Above all, there was that incessant elevator music playing day AND night!!

The property is a cluster of cabins and chalets on a point, so lovely views. Very quiet lake ideal for swimming, plus free kayaks, canoes, paddle boat. Nice lounge chairs by water, with large umbrellas.
Great games too - ping pong, darts, in a barn, large lawn for horseshoes, croquet. Sauna closed during Covid
Each cabin has BBQ and fire pit and outdoor sitting area. They sell wood and water. Many cabins are renovated. Ours #8 was not but very private, super comfortable new beds, lovely view, 2 bedrooms, full kitchen, nice porch overlooking water plus fire pit and picnic tables and chairs. Hosts are wonderful and attentive. Fellow guests were quiet. Truly idyllic getaway. We went day hiking in Petroglyphs provincial park then swam in lake for a perfect day.
No air conditioning and we were there in 32 degree heat. Cools down at night and we had fans, but cottage definitely warm.
