Location, staff friendliness
No hot water in the morning for the shower

The bar
I found a pair of men’s underwear in my room folded up in the cupboard , the room was above the pokies room and reeked of cigarettes and could hear them downstairs in the pokies , air con didn’t work for 2 of the hottest days and had to take 5 showers in one night

the bed was very comfortable, and the staff were lovely and helpful. Nice hotel.
Photos and description on booking very decieving. Room was tiny, 2.4 x 2.4, thought we were getting a room with ensuite, but no. Shared bathroom was old and grotty looking, no locks, toilet paper ran out, no light in toilet.

Excellent bathroom, good bistro, very helpful staff.
Having to carry suitcases up staircase

Location was ok but it was next to the main road
The Place didn’t have any facilities. It was just a roll and bed nothing else. Very old and dingy. There was live music until midnight at ground floor and music was so loud didn’t let us go to sleep.

Katie was and I trust she is always welcome coming to all clients. She was compassionate, calm, cheerful and made me stay at your hotel. Value her me, it is rare to retain such staff.
My room has no window(s) which open, you are at risk of condensation re breed infections for clients, worse still for domestic staff who do their best to maintain high quality service.. You can liaise with the planning departments to have even one sliding window which I suppose would not affect the character of the property (grand Hotel)

room spacious. shower amazing. towels nice and fluffy. bed comfortable. great food.
the two rooms next to ours - doors slamming extremely loud when to pull them shut closed. the other rooms were turning knobs therefore pulling shut was not needed.
could hear the music below but you have to expect that when it’s above a pub. overall the room is definitely value for money and the room is comfortable and roomy.

Swansea Hotel is very convenient for catching up with friends in the area. It is pub accommodation, however my room had been renovated and was excellent and very spacious. Alternatively, there are shared bathrooms with smaller bedrooms, however for $10 extra, I was very happy.
No kettle or coffee facilities in the room. There is a communal kitchen, however nothing to make coffee with. As I had stayed before, this time I came prepared.

nice and handy
the window over the room door let to much light in the room at night made it hard to sleep

The location was good for our activities. The shared kitchen facilities and lounge area in the guest area was very useful for us. We used it for breakfast and as a rest area. We also used the upstairs lounge area for internet work.
Guest access was good on a 24hour basis. We used the public dining area for a family gathering.
The public restraint was very pleasant and served good meals. We also enjoyed the band playing.
The main drawback was the cleanliness of the bathroom area. Not having a sink in the male toilet was a big drawback as far as cleanliness goes. The rooms were small with not much in the way of guest furniture.
