Nothing whatsoever
DEATH TRAP do not stay here under any circumstances - if this is a 4 star, I am King Charles of England :(
Dirty, dirty place, bugs including cockroaches, mice droppings, BED BUGS, dirty curtains, carpets - even blood stains on the wall. I couldn’t shower because the shower was full of daddy long legs and the towels they gave were yellowing.
Was meant to stay 2 nights but had to escape after night 1, the staff were rude and unhelpful and I don’t believe the accommodation is safe at all, sharing a ‘house’ with a stranger below in the middle of a forest, no phone in the room. Just thinking about it is making me angry. We travelled in a band of 30 and everyone felt the same. Really disgusting place.

great place for us to stay as we had our dog with us. great dog walks

location, the view from our room to the forrest was very nice surprise
It is definitely not a 4 star hotel, a middle range 3 star at most. Very outdated and basic room interior and bathroom .
No kettle and tea/ coffee making possibilities in the room, despite the room pictures on this website. This personally hit me hard we arrived on a very rainy day completely soaked, so was really looking forward to have a hot tea after changing to dry clothes.
As the rooms are in little separate buildings you have to go out to go to the restaurant, bar or to the swimming pool. i cannot comment on the restaurant as at 7pm when i called they didn’t have table already for the night despite being open till 9 pm ( ok partly my fault should have reserved it at the check in but because the cold and rainy state wanted to warm up first) so we had a takeaway pizza after 9pm instead. which was okay-ish. i was there at the weekend do the price was higher/ double the weekdays one. so definitely no good price/ value for the weekend.

Hotel is very lovely.
Room's are very nice and big.
Hotel and all surrounding facilities are suffering because of low maintenance. They said the Breakfast is 13€ / person but we pay for 2 Breakfast and 2 coffee we pay 48€ . To Expensive.

The bed was very comfortable and the staff really nice
Nothing I didn’t like

Lovely grounds and comfortable furniture. Secure bike storage and bathtub were welcomed additions. Staff at dinner were very pleasant.
The lady who checked us in at reception was very unhelpful. She took payment for breakfast but didn’t note this on the system, which meant we were accosted in the restaurant and accused of not having paid. Luckily my version of events was sufficiently convincing. The same receptionist also told us the restaurant was fully booked for dinner, which meant we would have to travel to the town of Beekbergen (several kilometers away). Fortunately, we decided to check with the restaurant staff and it turned out they had plenty of space for us. The same receptionist also offered us the use of the hotel secure bike parking but neglected to offer us the key until we had gone and discovered it was locked (a minor annoyance but adds to the overall negative experience).

The forest was beautiful. But the hotel was not good.
They did not send an invoice.

location and landscape
rooms although comfortable needed a refurbishment

location and very nice and helpful staff
the rooms are pretty outdated

Good location in the woods - if you want to rest and relax then the location is perfect. You need to have a car or bike - without you won't get anywhere.
The hotel needs serious renovation and cleaning. When was the last time you saw rust on the washbasin in the hotel? Or curtains that look like they were never ironed? For the price you would expect more.

it is a beautiful location, nice room
The food was very mediocre, service at the restaurant was lacking. Meat well done PLUS, while medium was asked for; no replacement no discount.

Location
Personal had no clue how to use Hotel Jaarkaart, big difference between staff (friendly versus unfriendly), expensive for such an old and outdated hotel, bathtub couldn't hold the water in because it was leaking etc
9.0
It is not a hotel. It is a small town of lovely cottages located in a deep forest. Unbelievable fresh air! Very nice room with well-equipped bathroom. Strong free Wi-Fi all over the territory, free parking near your cottage.
Not enough power sockets to charge your gadgets. It was not a good idea for the management to remove from rooms a small fridge and a coffee machine/tea cattle.
