Fantastic hotel. The location is incredible. I highly recommend booking a room with sea view. We had a room with panoramic view of the desert and the lagoon on the 8th floor and this view alone was one of our favourite parts of the whole vacation. Great food, great atmosphere, great location and worth every penny.

If you are into water sports like wind & kite surfing, the location of the hotel is superb! Having said that it also provides various facilities for families with little kids. The pool area is always clean and customers were also friendly.

The staff was very friendly, food as you expect in these kind of hotels, but generally good. Pools super, view from our room was just perfect.
For 4 star hotel I really cannot agree with the clothes allowed to dinner- underwear, pyjama(for adults!!!!), notshirt for men, eating in enviroment like summer festival, disgusting, but no place, but people. Please stop these individuals to enter to dinner like this, at least men with long trousers and tshirst and women in dress.

A location you choose, beautiful beach, greenery around the hotel, is secluded. we were here one night and loved it. food was also top.

I like that the surf spot is close to the hotel with great teachers. I come to Melia since over 5 years and i will come again. Perfect surf spot with perfect service
too many non-sportive people but that is their problem ;)

I love the location, right on the beach and in the desert. it was very beautiful. The staff were really friendly and the food was delicious!
The amenities in the toilet were old. The handle to flush the toilet broke on the first day. The lights by the bed were broken and I got locked out on the balcony as once the door shuts there’s no way to open it from the outside. This is a great safety feature but there are no signs warning you not to close the door if you go onto the balcony.
However, these were just minor and staff were very quick to help and fix things when given the chance!

Very nice hotel, lots of nice plants in the area of the hotel making it seems pretty green. Location perfect for kitesurfers, just on the spot. Variety of pools, very nice pool for kids (water was warm) and lots of activities. Specious, comfy rooms with big beds (able to fit parents and a kid ;)). Nice staff and helpful staff that provided a crib for a child when we asked for one. Tasty breakfasts.
Indeed elevators can be a bottleneck during high season (especially in rush hours) but then again we lived on 8th floor and it was not too bad to actually walk up and down (the stairs are very wide and quite comfy to walk on also not too many per floor). At the same time there were young, healthy people resting entire day by the pool taking an elevator just to go 1 or 2 floors up/down so if you are one of them-shame on you.
Buffet dinner was so so (still good) but lots of meat and lots of dishes were a bit too olive-oily for my taste.

First off all, cleaning staff was amazing(everywhere was clean). Pool area was great, big pool was salty but others were not, so it was acceptable and good. Restaurant food was amazing, too many options.
Wifi signal was very poor from room(7th floor). it was impossible to watch anything without disconnecting from internet. After pay for lunch and dinner we have only one drink which it was very disappointing. In addition, extra drink was 3.5€ and dinner was 43€ for 2 people.

Amazing location, it's like an oasis in the dessert. Right on the beach and the lagoon next to it. The facilities are great, big pool, small but nice gym. Food was excellent as well. Most of the staff are super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for couples or families.
The hotel needs an update, the rooms haven't been refurbished for a long time and needs a bit of attention. The doors start to break, the water stays in the sink and doesn't flow away easily.

Great selection of food at buffet. Clean. Great staff. Location superb. Attractive foyer and bar. Great pools. Helpful staff.
Bathroom fittings dated and loose. Some of furniture looking worn and tatty. Not a big deal. Main pool for swimming was closed

looks like a “Fata Morgana”

The hotel has unique location for those who want to do kite or windsurf, far from touristic "factories". The main swimming pool is very nice and has corners for kids (the 3 other pools were under maintenance work). The restaurant is fair and the stuff is extremely helpful and efficient. The view from the room is great. Perfect for a few day stay with children. Our son adores kids disco and kids club.
The rooms are very old fashioned but spacious and comfortable. The hotel is quite old but very clean.. It's only a matter of design for thous who are sensitive to the visual part of interiors. The views form the terrace compensate the interior design. The common parts are very nicely designed though (the bar at the reception level is very very nice).

The location is amazing
The live entertainment during the day and the evening was very good.
The local town 'Costa Calmer' has great restaurants.
The pool area is great.
Only one very big noisy buffet restaurant.
No coffee / Tea facility's in room
Air conditioning barley copes in winter

The food was delicious and besides the grumpy waitress, the staff were very friendly.
They closed 3 out of the 4 pools half way through our holiday. This was annoying as everyone crowded around one pool. I also couldn't figure out which was the heated pool as they were all freezing!
This hotel is isolated! There are no shops or restaurants close by. You will need to hire a car to see more of the island.
The pictures of the hotel on the website look amazing! Unfortunately the reality is different. It definitely needs an uplift such as a lick of paint and quite a few repairs! The paddle court was also closed as some glass panes were missing - this needed to be fixed too! The tennis court had an uneven surface.

The location on the edge of national park giving spectacular views of extensive beach and lagoon.
Limited choice for gluten free eating.

The location is wonderful, nestled into a lagoon. Food and drinks were good and there was a changing menu every day. The pools were clean and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
We booked the suite, which was overall a nice experience. However, the water pipes sound like they run right through the room, so everytime someone showered or flushed, they‘d give off loud noises. This made sleeping a bit difficult.
Also, the hotel is located rather far away from the nearest town and without a car of your own it‘s quite hard to get out and do anything outside the hotel. WITH a rental car however it is wonderful!

The facilities offered comprehensive services- full buffet, spa, tennis, yoga, zumba, near-by windsurfing, and all activities were available. It was great for my teenage son who could eat when he wanted and also do actvities.
Unfortnately this time of year is a bit cooler. It was difficult to adjust the room temperature. I decided because of energy saving, just to leave the temperature of the room and wear warmer clothing. But I really cannot complain, everything was really managed professionally!

Beach location. Nice breakfast choices. Very peaceful and remote location. Nice and friendly staff
Lack of tea making facilities. Could do with more elevators . You need a car if not all inclusive. Tried lunch menu at the pool bar but very disappointed . Poor quality .
