First and foremost, this resort is absolutely stunning and very well-maintained. Our room was spacious, lovely, and came with a beautiful balcony view overlooking the garden. Everything from check-in to check-out was incredibly smooth.
The staff were exceptional—every single person we encountered was helpful, polite, and greeted us with a smile. They truly made our stay special. The facilities are excellent, and all of the pools were fantastic. The beach, in my opinion, is one of the best in Barbados—private, calm, and absolutely beautiful. I really enjoyed it compared to other beaches I visited on the island.
As for dining, I tried the Italian restaurant, and the pasta was amazing! While the pizza didn’t quite hit the same mark, the pasta alone was worth it.
A special shoutout to Richard, who went above and beyond. We were supposed to check out at 12, but my little baby wasn’t feeling well. Although reception initially refused a late checkout, Richard took it upon himself to resolve the issue. His care and dedication made all the difference, and I highly recommend the management acknowledge his outstanding service.
In terms of location, the hotel is only 12 minutes away from the airport, which is convenient. However, it’s about half an hour away from Bridgetown and 20-30 minutes from the main tourist attractions, which can be a bit annoying. I highly advise renting a car to make getting around easier.
One piece of feedback: I travel quite a lot, and I was surprised that a resort of this caliber didn’t provide complimentary water or basic amenities like a toothbrush and shaving kits, which are usually standard. I’ve passed this along, but it’s a small point that I’m sure can be improved.

Cliff side location with stunning views; Crane Beach is beautiful; the gardens were lush and lovely. A good choice of pools and the option of an adults only one.
The rooms were large but very dated. The kitchen facilities are old and felt disused and some appliances did not work. The staff were lovely and helpful but I had a serious flooding issue with my bathroom and there was clearly a lack of resources to fix it. It was not fixed for the whole duration of my stay.

Crane resort is lovely, easy with kids. There is parking and we had a hire car which made travel around the island easier. Crane beach is beautiful but wilder than the calmer west coast beaches. We extended our stay due to hurricane beryl - changed from a traditional style to contemporary style room. The contemporary apartments are very well equipped and stylishly decorated.

The location is stunning and large room for our family was a plus.
Staff was not particularly friendly, room was not ready at 4 pm check-in time and there were no towels at the pool. Amenities are starting to be dated.

Overall, the Crane Resort in Barbados offered stunning rooms with breathtaking views, beautiful beaches, and well-maintained gardens.
However, the staff's initial greeting was disappointing, as some were found sleeping on lobby couches or engrossed in social media instead of providing assistance. Additionally, the lack of a bellman when we arrived made it inconvenient to carry heavy luggage up the stairs due to a broken elevator. The rooms themselves had amazing views, but the pool was too cold to enjoy despite its enticing appearance. Furthermore, the broken refrigerator caused a leak in the hallway, posing a potential safety hazard on the tiled floors. Although the maintenance team promptly fixed clogged toilets, their frequent malfunction was unexpected for a resort of this caliber. Regarding our dining experiences, the Italian restaurant, D'onofrio's Trattoria, left much to be desired in terms of food quality and taste. However, the server named Brandon stood out as exceptional. Similarly, the staff at Bar 1887, where the bartenders were friendly, provided a positive experience. The Carriage House restaurant offered the best-tasting food, but unfortunately, the staff there lacked friendliness and seemed unapproachable. One minor issue observed during the stay was colorful fingerprints on the sheets and towels. Initially thought to be stains, it was later discovered that the housekeeper's colorful makeup, including multi-colored eyeshadow, was transferring onto the linen.

The ambiance of the resort is lovely, restaurant choices and a beautiful view for breakfast.
No AC in first booked room, we were moved and still no AC.

The breakfast was great with a wide variety to choose from.
Dinner was excellent on Saturday 10th June at L'Azure restaurant, however we had to wait long for our food. We were told that our group was large, 6 adults and 2 children, hence the reason for such a delay. I believe we should not have had to wait for 1 hour for the main course, after the appetizer was brought to our table.
We had booked a 4 day/3 night stay and on the 2nd day in the morning, the ac was not working properly. We had appointments to attend to early that morning so we weren't back in the room until the evening time. We contacted engineering who came promptly but could not resolve the issue. We contacted front desk/reception to inform them of the same (that the problem with the ac could not be solved) and they offered us 2 fans!!! The room was hot and uncomfortable, fans would spread the hot air around and not resolve the problem. My husband spoke with them about this and they said they will investigate, and try to switch us to another room, once they have been authorised to change rooms. They said they would have called back that same night, but they did not. (I will not state her name here to cause embarrassment) It was a very uncomfortable night for us and our 2 children. However, the following morning, guest services manager Tamisha, sorted everything out for us and gave us a room upgrade for the inconvenience. She apologised and did her best to ensure we enjoyed our last 2 days.
I would recommend training of the staff to deal with matters that can affect guests after what is deemed 'normal working hours '. It was quite inconsiderate for us to have to wait for 8am the following day for a matter such as this to be resolved.

The Crane is an exceptional place to stay, if you have an opportunity, stay at least once!! The views are spectacular, the coastline amazing, restaurants great, entertainment every night, yet has a serene vibe to it.

We didn’t get to see much of the hotel as we ended up here due to a cancelled flight, but what we saw was lovely, food, bar, live music
Our bed was very high and the room is a bit dated

Breakfast was OK.
Facilities are dated. Rooms need modernising.
Beach was disappointing, lift has not worked for weeks.

Nothing
The staff is very unprofessional, unfriendly, unwilling to help in any way.
The windows of the rooms let in all the outside noise.
outside noise. We were given a room that was 5 meters away from the bar and restaurant area of the hotel. We could hear the music completely. Also you can hear all the noise from outside.
The facilities are poorly maintained. The bathroom light did not work.
We couldn't sleep all night.
All this in a room that cost us more than 650 US dollars a night.

The hotel is convenient for the Airport and has a number of different style restaurants
We booked late due to a cancelled flight and chose the Crane because of its reputation and position to the airport, even though a room was £500 per night.
On arrival we were greeted by concierge (tick) but then afterwards met with disinterested desk staff. We were shown to our first room which was not made up, dreary and the furnishings were worn and in some cases the fabric was ripped.
We returned to the desk and requested a change in room ( no apology ).
Allocated and taken to our second room to find the room had already been taken, thankfully the holiday makers were not in their room when we entered.
Back to the the desk (no apology)
We complained and waited for the desk manager. Whilst waiting we did notice the upkeep of the reception area ( hotel in general ) is extremely poor. The soft furnishing in reception are in very poor condition, dirty, dusty and ripped. Mismatched and poor quality.
Desk manager approached and offered a $100 resort spend (no apology) which we accepted but still required a decent room given that we expected to vacate at 3 am for an early morning flight ( time now 7.30pm)
Duty Manager arrives (does apologise) and promises to resolve. 20 minutes later shown to an upgraded room which was part for their Diamond Collection. Large, two bathrooms, kitchen, living room. All in all a very peculiar space, nothing on the walls, mis matched furniture, 5 different types of wood, kitchen over painted ( from the regular dark brown) in brilliant white. Removable covers on sofa's appeared to have been washed but had shrunk so did not fit properly.
Anyway off to get some food.............chased staff to order after being ignored for 20 minutes. Chased staff for order after nothing for a further 20 minutes, reminded staff of order. Told food would be 10-15 minutes...........45 minutes later....... you get the picture
Too large, underinvested, no leadership, poor quality....did get our $100 resort spend deducted when leaving (of course)

Staff, Restaurants and grounds were phenomenal.
The seaweed made the beach unusable, which was not the fault of The Crane.
1.5 / 5.0
The staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable.
Pool needed cleaning. Had to ask for basic things such as blow dryer, wash clothes, and blow dryer. General store wasn’t properly equipped. Elevator to beach wasn’t working and it’s a long way down!!! Charged us for breakfast even though we were being told by restaurant staff our breakfast was included with the room two separate times. There were no lights on the entrance of our building. As a result, didn’t feel safe due to being located at the very back of the resort. Lastly, the resort needs to print more recent pictures as the resort needs a face lift. The amenities currently shown look nothing like the actual site which lead to me being underwhelmed once I arrived.
4.5 / 5.0
I thoroughly enjoyed my continental breakfast which included a variety of fruit, toast an assortment of delicacies, apple juice and tea.
My stay was only for one night so i had no complaints really.
