Beautiful view and the room was decorated wonderfully, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space. Really liked having the direct access to the gardens (though a bit awkward having people walk by looking into our room). The staff were lovely, especially the lady on our first night, she spoke fluent english and the second lady spoke enough english for us to effectively communicate. The whole hotel was very much how I imagined traditional styles there would be.
I used the spa bath, filled it up and got in then started the bubbles, at which point a musty smell began and didn't stop until the bubbles stopped. Once out of the bath and drained there was a lot of limescale. I don't think the jets had been run for some time. There was mould on the shower ceiling and the bathroom door handle fell off with just a light touch, it appeared as if it had been previously glued on. Breakfast was perhaps normal for europe, it seemed a little bare to me. The coffee machine dispensed very little - maybe 20ml so had to do a few presses to get even half a cup.

The room was themed well, and was very comfy bed.
Price is highest, while a lovely area we was told that we has private access to garden, but this was not the case, we had our door open but ended up having dogs, people all walking past our back door, lucky we had cover on us in bed.
Also the spa i am guessing has not been used to much as left black sediment with the spa on draining.
Also shower was pretty mouldy on its room, could do with cleaning.

Établissement magnifique, personnel particulièrement agréable, cadre idyllique. La valise pour le dîner était excellente. Un excellent rapport qualité prix
Rien!

Beautiful old house, well maintained, centrally located, good for bicyclists.
No complaints

Wonderful wide view of surrounding countryside from our beautiful room ; fascinating historical connections with World War One armed services, both British and French; elegant saloon used at breakfast.
Huge restaurant space with spectacular view currently (and hopefully, temporarily) not used for diners, except for special events.

Beautiful building both outside and inside. Lovely view from the dining room at the back of the hotel. Interesting choices of rooms.. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. All very clean and comfortable.
A shorter walk to the car park.

Family room was booked for three friends,
When we got there this was not allowed, we were given a large suite instead, with breakfast, so all was ok
Cassel Town we arrived at 7pm only 1 bar and restaurant was open, Hotel bar and restaurant closed.

Staff very friendly and helpful. The room was unique in its style, decor. The breakfast restaurant had an amazing view across the fields of flanders. The hotel is in an ideal location to explore a lovely town.
The car park was a little difficult to get to and some distance from the hotel. You could unload your luggage at the front of the hotel in a narrow street which could be quite busy with 2 way traffic. However this is only a small criticism of a very pleasant stay.

The best breakfast EVER! Home made pastries fresh from the oven.

Wow, what a find, hidden behind two large wooden gates leading to a small attractive courtyard, the hotel looks wonderful. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a stop-off point to & from the tunnel. The hotel is stunning with plenty of history, offering charming views of the surrounding landscape. The village is worth a look around coming to life after 7pm with cafe music. Not a lot of English spoken in the village, but this added to its charm although the hotel staff do speak good English). The reception photographs are a definite talking point.

An absolutely beautiful hotel in a lovely location. The staff couldn't of been more helpful. Cassel is a must visit town full of character nice bars and a good selection restaurants.

Staff, style and breakfast
nothing to not like, we were scared for the dusts, because the decorations seems like it would hold a lot of dust, but it was very clean!

Beautiful building, great location
Rooms were rather hot and it would have been better if our rooms were next door to each other

everything was positive about our stay

A lovely property, great staff, and a fantastic location. I didn't have an evening meal so I can't comment of the food other than breakfast, which was lovely.
I have nothing to add on this. All good.
4.1
The view is fantastic
The dinner was quite disappointing. Pricy and not great. Our meals looked like they'd been sitting under hot lamps for a while before they came to us, skin over the sauce, hard crust on the mash, burnt bits in the topping on my fish. We wish we hadn't bothered with the starters either. We have had much, much better and considerably less expensive meals during our holiday.

Again we booked in advance for single beds (we were two men) and these were not ready when we arrived and had to be done by the receptionist.....she was brilliant. Wonderful views and breakfast room
Noisy street outside
