Ci è stata fatto pagare un prezzo più altro rispetto alla nostra prenotazione , arrivati ci è stato detto che ci avrebbero dato una camera più bella "senza chiederlo" pensavo fosse una cortesia .... Ma alla fine abbiamo pagato tutto !

A good one night stop.

Location, breakfast was very good

Older buildings with wear & tear. Could use a little updating. No coffee of tea etc in room.

Beautiful region and town. Property is good for a short stay.

Nice room on the third floor. The proprietor helped us with our bags, and parking across the street was not a problem. Breakfast was 11 Euro but very nice.

Wir waren auf Durchreise und dafür ist das Hotel genau richtig.

Typisch Französisch! Eier, Croissant und Marmelade😁 Kaffee in allen Variationen und sehr lecker! Die Lage mitten im Zentrum am Marktplatz von vielen Restaurants umgeben. Der Betreiber vom Hotel war sehr Freundlich!!

Friendly, great views, comfortable, great breakfast, bike parking. Nice place to be.

Great location, great style, comfortable, really nice staff, motorcycle parking which was secure. Central location for plenty of restaurants. Fabulous views from the rooms overlooking the square.

With its central location a little noisy at night but no major issue, it was a good trade off for the view!

Not bad, but not grand

The breakfast was very nice. The room was super-clean. Good internet. Great location.

A property naming itself "Grand Hotel" should probably be a bit more auspicious. Granted, the literal translation is merely "big hotel," but grand hotel has become a term of art to mean something luxurious. This hotel is absolutely OK. It just is not grand.

Jewel right in the middle of Barcelonnette

Fabulous 'old school' French guest house/hotel right in the town square. Stayed there many times, and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Barcelonnette... Lovely 'shabby chic' decor, tastefully presented. Creaky old wooden building that has been renovated to 'just right', comfortable rooms. Step outside to all the delightful atmosphere of a provincial French town, with a bunch of great restaurants to choose from.

Breakfast/ parking was sorta expensive- perhaps the host could have offered these complimentary with 2x big groups (8 rooms) for 2 nights. 😊😉

Lovely overnight stop while bike touring

Great location, very friendly owner who really took care of us. The terrace bar is a great place to have a drink surrounded by mountains. The breakfast was delicious. Very bike friendly.

Great location with a lovely view from our room. Plenty of restaurants and bars in the vicinity. Secure motorcyle parking for a small fee. Breakfast was fine. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Traditional hotel with character, in the heart of town

We stayed here for 6 nights as a base for exploring the mountains and gorges by motorbike - it's a great location for doing this or any of the outdoor activities the region is famous for. Large secure garage parking for motorbikes available, or leave them outside. The hotel is a traditional / original town hotel full of character, right in the main square. That means you are going to be in the heart of activity - it's what you come for - but the double glazing does work well. Rooms and en-suites are clean, well decorated and well maintained. Hosts and staff very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast - fresh croissant and bread, cereal, yoghurt, cheese, juice and a high quality coffee machine. The town has a good number of restaurants but advise reserving a table (we stayed in August) as they were very busy each evening, especially being Mexican festival week. The hotel balcony was an excellent viewing point for the evening stage shows.

A very pleasant stay! Highly recommended.

We arrived by motorbike, just been in a massive thunderstorm, wet and tired. The owner made every effort to accomodate us. We had private secure parking for our bikes, he allowed us to hang our wet biking gear in the laundry room to dry (otherwise it would have been wet gear the next morning). The hospitality was excellent. The breakfast was superb and it was all together a very pleasant stay. I will for sure be back if I am in Barcelonnette again.

That we could only stay for one night :).
